My mother utilized Mathew McConnell for Dixon and Mosley law firm for her divorce. It was a long and arduous process due to the other side. Mr. McConnell and his assistant Cheryl Foster were so wonderful and supportive of all her needs during this process, their expertise and professionalism were truly beyond measure. They really went above and beyond our expectations time and again, to achieve a result that overwhelmingly a victory for her! I cannot recommend their services enough! If you need representation for divorce even if facing long odds they will do themselves and you proud.

Alex is the worst family lawyer I’ve EVER seen and that’s coming from someone that grew up with one of the best family lawyers ever! He’s inexperienced first of all and thats the LAST thing you want in a family lawyer! I watched him show up to our court hearing and got dominated by the opposition attorney that was much older and experienced. Alex made a few mistakes in court and the judge asked him if he had ever been in court before! He had no answer for the simple questions asked as well like he didn’t even read my file that he charged me for, he was definitely unprepared! He looked like the childish inexperienced kid he still is. My next complaint will be the dispensary commissioner as I’m not letting him do this to anyone else! Anyone would be better than Alex, keep searching this kid isn’t who you want. He’s rude and arrogant and will take your money then won’t do his job. There was a lack of communication as well, he sent me a nasty email when he was the one at fault! I’d give this place zero stars if it would let me!

When you need a lawyer to deal with an awful situation you can’t do better than Brazill Hester and specifically Judy Hester. My husband was a co executor with a person on other side of family. What started out as an amicable process quickly devolved into total chaos. Everything shut down for several months. Judy had prepared the Trust for our family member and it was only through her diligent work and amazing mediating skills that this was finally completed. I would not recommend using this attorney for anything. I used him for mediation because he was recommended by my divorce attorney and it was a joke. He played both sides and was really trying to intimidate and bully me into an agreement. Needless to say I agreed with complete regret. This 2-year divorce has been a nightmare and you hope to solve things fairly and not be manipulated into making a decisions..Beware! Thinking back my life would be a lot different.

FOLLOW-UP TO THE RESPONSE: First of all, I made it clear I am they/them, not he/him. For someone looking for LGBTQ family law, this is incredibly off-putting. The reputation of this firm appears undeserved. The attitude and demeanor of the staff I spoke to felt incredibly unsupportive. When potential clients are in crisis, warmth and approachability are critical to building a trusting relationship. This person just put me in a cue to wait for weeks. The payment details were in the bottom of the fine print of a follow-up e-mail, which I didn’t see due to the stress and hardship of my current situation. If you are looking for a supportive LGBTQ family attorney, with staff that communicates, there are better options in Indy! Don’t wait for these people, just look a little longer. 🙂

While my attorney was kind and helped me with my custody hearings, he was clearly overloaded with cases and was not able to give me much individual attention. After my case was concluded, I experienced and am still experiencing difficulty getting child support. I reached out to Vanessa Lopez, but she sent my request to her paralegal, Laura Herrera, to handle. Laura was aggressive and unprofessional in her communications to me. It’s extremely disappointing that a previous client is treated with such malice as I only wanted help and clarity with the child support issues. I paid a lot of money to this law firm and very disappointed in the service I received. It’s probably one of the cheaper counsels you can hire, but you get what you pay for, so if you can afford it, I would seek counsel elsewhere.

I have had a great experience with everyone at Lopez Law, especially with Alexandra Roberts, whom I hired to help me with a child support issue. Highly professional, highly intelligent, highly recommended!

Honestly I really wish I found someone else. I had a very simple child support case and it still cost me $3000. I highly doubt she actually spent 17 hours working on my case. We didn’t even go to court, we came to an agreement. And Vanessa nor her employees were much help when my case was over. You have a question? Be careful if you send an email that gets a one sentence response, it will cost you $82 for something that took 2 minutes. As a single mom, I asked if I could take partial payments and got charged $82. Overall very disappointed. I am not getting back pay like I was supposed to be and now it is all up to me to figure it out on my own. Missing out on $600 because this lady didn’t pay attention to what she was doing FOR MY CHILD. Also I was never told that I should sign up for direct deposit with the child support office, I thought after paying 3 grand there would be some guidance. I was wrong. Will never recommend this office. Please go elsewhere.

I had an employer CLC referral. I called and left three messages over the course of several days before receiving a return call from a receptionist. She advised it would cost $150 to speak with the attorney. I advised her I had a CLC referral and the consult was free through them. She said she would confer with the attorney. I never received a call back. I notified CLC and went with a competent attorney outside of their network.

James Seaver, Vanessa Lopez, and Laura Herrera handled my child custody case with grace and simplicity. I live out of state and had to handle a lot of the work on my end from afar. They made the whole process as comfortable as it can possibly be given the situation. They are communicative and do their best to avoid billing hours for work that may end up being unnecessary as the situation in court matures. I highly recommend Vanessa and her team for your child custody needs. I’m super grateful for their part in how things played out in our child custody case.

Wouldn’t ever recommend! He doesn’t fight for equality. It’s about money and he won’t give any info unless you pay him constantly. I lost custody of my kids and asked repeatedly for answers as to why but he refused unless I forked over more money. Then finds other legal to fight against you instead of finding a middle ground. His bias and not understanding whatsoever it’s about doing for himself and he should be ashamed especially being a parent himself.

My experience with this firm was unbelievable. All Lauren Harpold did was take my money. She did nothing for me. She didn’t want to do her job and gave up on me. She doesn’t listen to you and claims that she genuinely cares. She would rather have the opposed counsel back than her own clients. This is a huge red flag. I do not recommend her.

Lauren Harpold, it’s not often I have spoke to an attorney that is this knowledgeable and has morals. Lauren in my opinion is very honest and trustworthy. I had a consultation with her and I wanted to hire her but she advised me why I shouldn’t at this point. Other attorneys I’ve met would have just said sign here and here is your invoice. She thankfully is not like that at all. She has given me some faith back in attorneys. If you want a good honest and affordable attorney then just stop looking, you found her. I am very grateful for her expertise and help in something that to me seemed so difficult and frustrating to have to be a part of already, so having someone incredibly knowledgeable like her was such a blessing to me during such a frustrating time. Her team research backed up my case and gave me the courage to stand my ground against my ex. Her support during mediation was considerable. My ex called her «abrasive». Good for her.

Holly Wanzer and Kelly Smith, the paralegal, represented me in a custody case in 2018-2019. The case was resolved and closed, and I have no complaints. My ex recently re-opened the case and because Holly Wanzer was still technically my lawyer, she was served papers. However, I only found out about the case because the opposing counsel emailed a continuance that was filed a month later. In that time, I never received an email or a phone call about the case or the summons. Because of this, I lost one whole month of valuable time to prepare for my case. When I called, I found out that they emailed me the day after the initial summons on an old inactive email address. They never once called to inform me after I gave no response. On top of that, I found out that Holly Wanzer had removed herself as my lawyer in the meantime for the case, again without calling or making a second attempt to reach me. To recap, Holly wanzer and her team, received my summons, emailed me, and then did not reach out to me via phone ONCE to ensure that I, (their client), was informed of the case. On top of that, Holly Wanzer removed herself from the docket without my knowledge and without calling me to check. So I was still a client of Holly’s but she never called me once to update me on my case, even after she received no email response. If you are a client of Holly’s, you might be one old email address from the same situation. I am no lawyer, but it seems like Holly and her team did the absolute bare minimum and did not care about me or my sons interest to call me and check on me. Now, I am scrambling to find representation, I am a month behind on responding to the Interrogatories from my ex, and I am in serious jeopardy of being at the mercy of my ex and her lawyer (who were the ones to actually email me about the case). Is this how Holly Wanzer and team treats their clients after they have already paid and completed their cases? Do they not feel like they have a responsibility to reach out to their clients? This lack of care and lack of respect for their clients could come back to seriously harm myself and my case. Holly Wanzer should call me ASAP and fix this issue, or I may be forced to file a complaint through the necessary channels, as well as inform all my family and friends how unprofessional this firm is.

I had two attorneys assigned to my case, Elisabeth Edwards & Christopher Dolinski; however, I primarily worked with Christopher. From the beginning, their communication was top notch. They listened to my concerns and requests, and we worked hard to make it happen. As stressful as my specific situation was, they made it smooth sailing. I will recommend this firm always, as I felt seen and heard. Thank you again for your help! 10/10!!!!
