I am from out of town and this restaurant was recommended to me by a local friend. They didn’t steer me wrong.
The service and food were excellent.
If you’re not sure what to get, go with the Managers Special so you can try 2 types of sauce on your pasta. It’s definitely worth a visit.

The atmosphere is really great here. Old school wood with a train car by the entrance. The lasagna was fresh and loved the various sauces. The salad and house bread were nothing special, but I loved the cotton candy drink, and the complementary spumoni was nice at the end.

We were greeted when we walked in. There wasn’t a wait. It’s a darker vibe in the restaurant. I’ve been wanting to try this spot out for a few years and was super excited just to be DISAPPOINTED. We had the garlic/cheese bread. It was too soft like it could’ve cooked for another 2 minutes or so. The spinach and artichoke dip lacked seasoning. I wished they would’ve buttered the bread. I tried adding crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper. It was still a no for me. He ordered shrimp alfrdedo. The shrimp had a very loud smell , and he couldn’t finish his food. I ordered fettuccine, and it also lacked seasoning. We both ordered strawberry lemonade. I asked for mine to be spiked and had NO IDEA that was going to cost me $21.50 for a drink. Never again. I was not happy at all. The bill was $80 for a bunch of nasty food. I planned on taking the food home to doctor it up because that was expensive and ended up giving it to a homeless man outside. I hope he enjoyed it more than I did. Unfortunately, we had to go somewhere else to eat and spend more money.

We had much higher expectations for dinner. The food was mediocre and served warm,
Not hot at all. I’ve honestly had better chicken Marsala at home. We sat down and got our food within 20 minutes which means it’s almost all pre-prepared. If you are looking for a large portion and food that’s good, but not necessarily amazing, then this is for you. If you want really tasty, homemade pasta, this isn’t for you.

This place was such a treat we went twice! The place was dark, but really nice, the waiters, awesome sweet gals and the FOOD, incredible, this place with out a doubt gets the Red hat of approval, a must go to when you visit Indiana.

My husband and I went to this location for Thanksgiving today and it was amazing! The restaurant was packed, atmosphere was festive, and the service was excellent. Our server, Keion, was the best. Our reservation was at 6:45 PM and it was very busy but he came over and treated us like we were the only table he had. He was kind, efficient, and very helpful! Each family-style course came out with perfect timing and we had so much food were able to take quite a bit home with us! We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back soon! Thank you!!

First time here. At first we were told the wait would be 25-30 minutes. We walked outside and got on the 1st table app and it was 10 minutes. Then when we were seated the waitress told us they were shirt staffed. The place we sat was on an outside patio. I was very nice and relaxing. Our waitress was as attentive as she could be I guess. The food was very tasty. They brought me someone else’s order but luckily they ordered the same thing I did. I finally had leftovers so that should say something about portion sizes. They had a couple regular specials that made it economical. I would probably go back.

We were stuck in traffic on the way to the hotel and decided to slip off the highway and grab some food. We decided to give this a shot in our comfy clothes (under dresses a tad). From the manager sitting us and blessing us with a wonderful appetizer to our waiter Martin taking such great care of us. He went over all the different menu options and what he thought we would like by our taste. He nailed it from the salads all the way to the dessert. When In the area this will always be a stop.
Amanda Seniour

This place is a MUST! Everything is beyond amazing! Save room for dessert!!! You can’t miss dessert! The lemon cookies are delectable and the cheesecake is the best I have EVER had. The bread that comes with dinner is scrumptious as well. We also tried the calamari as an appetizer and it was so good! Staff is very friendly as well. An all around pleasant experience!

I’ve never had a bad experience. Parking is OK it can be overwhelming on a bad day. The servers are friendly. Definitely good spot for some food. 5 stars

Pizza was fantastic. The vibe is dope with lovely art on the walls. Wait staff were chill, but none of that matters. The only thing that matters is you try the stuffed peppadews. Heaven on earth. Go forth and eat at this delicious spot my friends.

No Jockamo trip is complete without this spinach artichoke appetizer. I like it so much, I would marry it. Luau pizza is a must because pineapple in fact is delicious on pizza. Oh and the staff are 10s across the board.
Emily Grounds

Super good pizza, and I’m from Chicago. This location is my favorite and I go here every time I’m in Indianapolis even though I love on the North side of Indy now. Beer selection is great too.
nickarmani03

While the decor could use a little sprucing up, the food did not disappoint! We were a party of 12 & our server was great! We tried many small pizzas, breadsticks (no nacho chz ) & the meatball & ricotta app. NO COMPLAINTS!! If it wasn’t a 45 min drive I would definitely go back!
Tylena Knop

Too much cheese on the specialty pizzas!
I know that sounds silly right, isn’t pizza supposed to be all about the cheese? But, in this case, when you order the specialty pizza, with the special toppings, and the different flavors, having too much cheese on it is a disadvantage.
First, I loved the vibe of the place. If we were eating in, I love this space and this neighborhood. Also, everyone seemed very friendly. But we got the food to-go, to bring back to our Airbnb to watch the Purdue game!
I was so excited about this menu. It’s the execution that was a little bit off. I was also excited that they let me do a specialty pizza half-and-half.
I had half creole and half Bombay garden. I think they would’ve both done well to have very little cheese, because it didn’t seem to go with the rest of the flavor situation. In fact, the creole could’ve had no cheese, and just amped up on a creamy étouffée sauce as a cheese substitute. As it was, I felt like the cheeses overwhelmed all the really interesting elements of both pizzas.
In the future, please consider more masala sauce on the one pizza and more étouffée sauce on the second pizza, and a really light hand on the cheese. These are special ingredients, let’s not smother them with the cheese.
When we are back in Indianapolis, we will certainly give them another try, and tell them either no cheese or light cheese, because the menu is really quite special!

A Cozy and Delicious Experience at Olive Garden
We love popping into Olive Garden a couple of times a month for their classic soup, salad, and breadsticks combo. It’s the perfect spot for a casual meal with consistently good food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere.
Olive Garden has a nice selection of appetizers to start your meal off right. Some of our past favorites include the crispy Fried Calamari and creamy Spinach and Artichoke Dip served with warm pita bread. The Toasted Ravioli is also a delicious option.
However, this time, we decided to try something new and were pleasantly surprised by two fantastic appetizers: the Shrimp Fritto Misto and the Lasagna Fritta.
• Shrimp Fritto Misto: Lightly breaded and fried shrimp, paired with breaded peppers that added a wonderful balance of flavor and crunch.
• Lasagna Fritta: It’s hard to describe, but it’s definitely worth a try—fried lasagna with layers of creamy cheese and sauce, offering a unique and savory experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes and may have found some new favorites!
While the pasta dishes are always solid, we were here for the classic trio—soup, salad, and breadsticks. The fresh salad could easily be a meal on its own, with its crisp greens, tomatoes, olives, and tangy Italian dressing.
The highlight, though, is the Zuppa Toscana. This creamy broth is filled with spicy Italian sausage, tender kale, and russet potatoes—comforting, hearty, and incredibly flavorful.
The Dining Grandpa

Olive Garden is truly old school and every time I go I am never disappointed. The salad and breadsticks are always on point and the service is incredible. Ask for either Brittany or Nichelle they will get you right.

Great service from the beginning to the end. Leah is a very sweet and attentive waitress. I really enjoyed the chicken tortellini alfredo. The black tie mousse cake is a great dessert choice.

Relaxed atmosphere with a mix of tourists and workers sitting down for a good bite. We tried the we tried an item from the breakfast and lunch menu. The croissant French toast is delicious, but the club left much to be desired. The toddlers enjoyed delicious eggs and bacon, but the potatoes were hard. Definitely add the Paloma! Jeff made our dining experience EXTREMELY pleasant. He was professional & pleasant while explaining the menu and checked on us often throughout our meal. I highly recommend for a tasty breakfast when downtown Indianapolis.
Niecey Carter

The food was very delicious, the only thing we didn’t like was that the waiter came to our table about 10 times to see if we had finished, he didn’t even ask us if we wanted any dessert before bringing us the bill, this is because they want to clear the tables. . They do it to receive new customers waiting and get more tips, but that means they won’t let you have breakfast in peace. My friends and I had to wait about 40 minutes to enter, for them to want to get you out of there quickly is not a good idea for me.
Veronica Marz

Very delicious cinnamon toast $5.
Great spicy scrambled egg toast.
Good oat latte.
Coffee bar makes it easy.
French toast was excellent too! Not overly sugary.
Extremely efficient and a great breakfast. Food was served fast.

Excellent food. Excellent service. The atmosphere was easygoing. I loved the self-serve complimentary coffee station while we waited for our drinks and meals. Their version of a BLT is awesome! The beer I had was very good too. All the drinks and coffee were good. The chocolate chip cookie i has was a huge surprise. I loved it. Just the right amount of salty sweet. I hope that cookie never leaves the menu. You get a fast food feeling while you are seated in there. Lots of hustle by the staff. Not to take anything away from the excellent service provided. I will definitely eat here the next time I visit Indiana for Fever basketball games.

The experience was great. I’m glad I got to try it as a solo diner.
The space wasn’t too busy and I was seated by the window. The food came out quickly after I ordered it. The server was kind and the food was good — not great. I got the waffle with a side of fruit.
I would come back here again. Probably to try their cinnamon toast.

Was in town from Texas for a work conference. My team decided to come here for dinner one night and we were not disappointed or didn’t leave with empty stomachs. Our waitress tried to warm us that the portions are large, and I do mean LARGE! The 4 us were able to feed off the few dishes we ordered and still had plenty leftover to pack. Service was outstanding! This place has a welcoming atmosphere home family feel. The price is totally worth it with the amount of food that is given. Everything had great flavor & the drinks were on point! Another great place to come to when you’re in town.

Nice Italian restaurant. Was looking for Pizza however, you won’t find it here. I visited during lunch and shopped the lunch menu as the remaining menu is family style. I opted for the Meatball sandwich (traditional style). Sandwich came with fries seasoned with garlic, black pepper and parsley. Both the sandwich and fries were good. The old fashioned I ordered was also done well. Slightly sweet, however still had a bourbon flavor. Pretty well balanced, however on the sweet side. My Daughter went with thr spaghetti and just said it was chunky with tomatoes but was good. Waitstaff was prompt and attentive. Decor goes for days and days…

My family and I went there for my wedding reception. The food was terrific, and the atmosphere was decent. There was plenty of space to accommodate our 15-person family.
The server should have mentioned that you can only have one check when eating in a large group – which is inconvenient for many reasons -but for our group, we found out when we were ready to pay, which caused a whole thing. My brother-in-law paid with this credit card.
We had to recalculate all the items and divide the cost per person since everything was family-style and the wedding party sent the funds to him. That’s a lot of work to pay for your food on one of the most important meals of your life.
And the server “accidentally” ran up her tip before the dinner amount. Working through that was very frustrating, and I would have called for a manager had it not been a big day. The food is still great, though. I recommend that.

I was nearby for a conference, and we decided to go here for lunch. Great food and quick service. We enjoyed the family style serving where we could try out multiple dishes at our table.

This italian restaurant is located right at the monument circle, downtown Indy. The food, ambience, staff, drinks everything was amazing. Staffs are courteous. Portions are huge. Prices are a bit om upper side. But its worth it!! We tried fettucine alfredo, cheese ravioli and mozarrella. They tasted really yumm! Would recommend this hotel!

Let’s talk pizza. There are a lot of pizza places in this country. First you have the retail chain spots, then you get to the real deal pizza. This is a real deal here. No frozen sent in from a factory to reheat pizza here. This is a great spot on Mass Ave. they have several specialty pizzas to choose from or make your own with the most available toppings I’ve seen for pizza. Nothing here is bad. The flavor is amazing, fresh and the food is served hot. As a special for me they do serve coca-cola products. If you follow me then you get that. The restaurant is clean . The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend checking this place out.
Morgan Colyer

Came in here with high hopes but the atrocious service was too much to make it any way enjoyable. When you have to walk from your table to the bar to get help since your server hasn’t been to your table in 20 min – that’s too much.
The pizza is good at least. Thin and crispy crust.
But for all that’s good – have a training for your servers
Robert Cardoni

What a great pizza! Such a wonderful tomato taste. The crust was nice and crispy. I had gotten a mixed salad and they definitely did not skimp on the shaved Parmesan. The atmosphere was inviting and I am sure is really lively at night. I went in the afternoon for a late lunch. Parking is pay parking outside by meter. I think the only thing that would have made it better if there was a nice place to sit outside as the weather was amazing when I was there.
S D

Best frozen pizza I’ve ever had! It’s the only way to describe it. Great toppings, but the dough tastes like a frozen pizza.

We tried this place at the recommendation of a cousin and it did kot disappoint! The Cajun pizza was so good. The fresh mozzarella plate and the Bomba for dessert were also delicious!

My wife and I have never been here before and the place was packed. They don’t take reservations unless it is a large group and by the look of things; why should they? It would be nice to know you had a table but from their perspective; there is no need to the place was packed.
The restaurant is a small to medium size home that has been converted into Mama Carolla’s. They make use of all the space available to them. There are tables on the second floor and all the rooms on the lower level except in front door area where there is a small waiting room and in the back, where the kitchen is located. There is outdoor seating around the whole house even in the front yard.
Now the food. It was fantastic. The appetizer we had, stuff mushroom was great, there was only one, but I never tasted anything like it. My wife had a salad and rosemary chicken lasagna and she thought it was fantastic. I had the soup and I can’t remember the name of my entree but it had every kind of shell fish you can imagine on it, lobster, crab, clams, shrimp, scallops, and I’m sure there is something I’m forgetting, served with pasta in this unbelievable tangy sauce. She had wine and dessert, I had a Coke and Coffee and all this was less than $100, $88 to be exact. I can’t wait to go back

I was so excited to visit mama Carollas as I had heard so many great things about their food. It saddens me to say that this was the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant, from the service to the food. The server we had was Chaz and he was very rude. The initial interaction was him pouring water in our glasses and he didn’t speak. I had to speak to him and ask if he would be our server, I also had to ask his name. He was not forthcoming with a warm welcome or his name. He laughed when I asked his name as if it was a ludicrous question. He never asked if it was our first time, didn’t suggests dishes, or make conversation of any kind. He had a very dry affect and was of no help. We had the calamari appetizer and the breading was not as crispy as we would like. The sauce that came with it was very strong and acidic. We had salad that came with our food and Chaz gave us 3 options of salad but never explained what the salad had in it, we had to ask. I ordered the chicken rigatoni and my family members had the carbonara and the bolognese. The bolognese tasted like chef boyardee and didn’t taste fresh. The carbonara was thick and noodles were linguini instead of spaghetti. It had way too much garlic and was not presented well. The chicken rigatoni was disgusting and tasted like vomit, I’m assuming the liquid in the dish was broth and it was not well liked by me . I told Chaz I was not happy with my food and asked for chicken piccata instead. The piccata was disgusting as well and my chicken was not fresh. The chicken looked like it was swimming in caper juice and I couldn’t even chew the chicken. I didn’t bother to taste the angel hair as it looked like mush and was thrown on the plate. All of the dishes had an orange slice which I didn’t understand. Myself and the guests I had with me expressed dislike for our meal and the manager was brought over. The manager who I now know is the owners son, Justin was very rude and had a dry affect as well. He asked what was wrong and I was kind in my response. He was tomato red and breathing heavily as if he was offended. Very unprofessional and was not kind toward us at all. Not once did he apologize for our dislike of our dinner, he didn’t tell us if he would comp the meal. I was nice enough to pay for my salad as I did eat that. He walked off without us knowing if there was a resolve or not. To add insult to injury, the dinner napkins smelled of old lady and dirty shoes. Of course our bread which was liked more than anything rested on the said napkins. Later we found out that the meal was comped. I will never return to this restaurant and I’m very disappointed. It’s one thing for us to not enjoy the meal but to be abrasive and rude was appalling. Once I researched the restaurant, I saw that Justin recently took over the restaurant with no experience in running a restaurant let alone cooking. He went from ramen noodles to Fazoli’s which is an insult to that establishment. Even though I didn’t enjoy the dinner I hoped that I could at least respect the service and resolution of our issue. I will not be returning but I hope Justin takes this criticism to be better in the future. Where is Gordon Ramsay when you need him. Calling kitchen nightmares immediately.

This is a fantastic spot for Italian cuisine. We sampled Misto Mare(seafood linguine), chicken piccata, calamari, Holly’s Artichoke Fritters, and ravioli, and everything was delicious. The service was outstanding. Despite the restaurant being busy, our food arrived promptly.

Favorite restaurant in indy. Beautiful atmosphere. Outside seating is to die for in the warm months. Cozy home vibe seating inside. The rosemary half chicken is wonderful and comes with a soup called Italian wedding which reminds me of a more elegant Campbell’s chicken noodle soup flavor. The staff are always welcoming and kind. Great tierramasu.

There are all sorts of Italian places downtown, but this one is exceptional in terms of service and portion size. My personal pan sausage pizza was tantalizingly good. The side garlic fries were a flavor bomb. In addition, the server was top notch in making food suggestions and insuring her customers were well satisfied with their meal.

Very nice place and atmosphere. Enjoyed the food..we got a deep dish pepperoni pizza, mozzarella triangle’s, and parmesan garlic fries. All were tasty. Service was very good.

It was great overall! Place was nice and clean and we could sit without waiting. We ordered deep dish pizza and sodas. It took almost about hour to get the pizza but it was delicious. We enjoyed the food. People are nice there but seemed like they need more people to handle the peak time. I enjoyed the pizza and it was affordable and delicious 🙂

Went in for lunch. The place was clean and nit a lot of people. Seated promptly. Service was extremely delayed. The food was okay. Ghe Bruschetta had no seasonings. The pizza lacked flavor as well. They had run out of Moscato, so i ordered a sangria, which was ok. Not impressed.

Food and service was great. Be prepared to wait 45 minutes for the deep dish pizza. They held our table while we went across the street and shopped. Very friendly service and pizza was great

As an avid Italian food eater and a bias for NJ/NY having the best food in the country, this place could easily compete. First of all, the service. Your water glass will never be empty. They take customer service very seriously and want to make your dining experience as pleasurable as possible. Next the food! The minute you walk into the restaurant you can just smell an aroma of garlic bread. So of course, we ordered it as an appetizer. It was delicious, cheesy and fantastic. We also ordered crispy calamari that came with two dipping sauces that were a great compliment. Lastly for our entrees we ordered the chicken parm dinner with a substitution of vodka sauce. Out of this world! The food was delicious, the portions were great. This is a great spot in a great location in Indianapolis.

Ambience is simply perfect- Cozy, elegant and ideal for relaxing meal. As a vegetarian , it was hard to find good options for Italian food but they were able to accommodate request and every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful and crafted with care. The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the caring serving staff. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Might need to add some table salt or pepper as per your taste buds but overall food was unique and great quality. Street parking and as well as parking on back of the restaurant. Highly recommended reservation. Smoke free environment. Wheelchair accessible.

We visited this location for the first time for a family birthday. We had a reservation for five people. They had our table ready for us when we arrived. The service was wonderful. Our waiter spent quite a bit of time explaining things on the menu and answering our questions. The food was wonderful. Each one of us had a different entree and there was nothing that was bad. We also got calamari and the cheese bread for appetizers. They boxed up our leftovers for us. And they are able to package up any leftover wine from their bottle service for you to take home. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy.

Nice restaurant, very limited seating inside, but all in all, a good place to have dinner. Reservations are a must, so make yours as soon as possible. We sat outside for dinner, and it was a nicely decorated area and had plenty of shade. Staff was great and knowledgeable of the menu. Would definitely come back.

This is a nice hidden gem. It’s nestled right on the outskirts of downtown and definitely worth the trip. It’s not a really big place but it gives really cozy vibes. Our waitress was very informative and patient being it was our first visit. We ordered a couple of different things and they all were great. If you’re looking for Italian food downtown this is the perfect place to visit.
