The procedure was only ~30 mins. Though I ended up being nervous myself, I can assure you that I felt no pain whatsoever. Whatever numbing agent Dr. Snyder uses works as intended. The tissue healed over completely in ~10 days, with no infection issues. He and his receptionist were pleasant, open, and genuinely helpful through my experience. No regrets, and for just $1000.

You found the guy— if you want a vasectomy, this is the way to go. I spent nearly a year trying to get one the conventional way— months for consultations, cancelled appointments at the last minute (it genuinely felt like Indy doctors don’t want to give people vasectomies). Dr. Snyder gives you the info, gets you in and out quickly— and believe it or not, I would say the entire thing is painless. After a day you feel back to normal, no joke. They test you and give you the results asap— this is a bargain (and they take HSA cards if you have one). I just can’t say enough positive things— if you’re done having kids— this is the way to go. Also— Dr. Snyder is a great guy— you can have confidence in him.

I get it—just the thought of a vasectomy is enough to make any guy hesitant, myself included. But if it’s something you need to do, I can’t recommend Dr. Snyder highly enough. All of the reviews are true. Quick and easy procedure with almost zero pain. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Dr. Snyder explains everything he is doing and makes sure you are as comfortable as possible. Dr. Sprunger is my favorite doctor. He is so professional in every aspect. I would highly recommend. The staff is very professional and pleasant. When I get lab work Brittany will be the one that I want, she gets it done every time and I am not the easiest to draw blood from. The nurses are always kind and professional.

I saw Elizabeth for a short post op check up for the doctor that I see. I wasn’t expecting someone so kind, empathetic, and genuine. She validated my pain and was overall just such a caring provider.

The doctor there is not a very nice. He says things that are very raw and blunt and doesn’t make me feel comfortable at all so I’ll be canceling my appointment.

I love Dr. Sprunger. I have been to him multiple times as well as my daughter. He has done surgery on daughter. He listens and he is a great doctor.

Dr Naveen Krishnan, MD, MS placed a stent during an emergency room visit for a kidney stone. Great bedside manner and made me feel at easy. On my follow up, he gave me my medical options, answered all my questions allowing me to make a decision I feel comfortable with. Later that day and after viewing my CT scan he called me and stated he saw another stone that had been missed on the CT scan report by the radiologist. I appreciate his attention and his dedication to improving my quality of life.

He was very nice and laid back. He did not make me nervous and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed at all.

I went with Urology of Indiana for a vasectomy. They do the consultation and the procedure on the same day– hallelujah! But here’s the deal: I showed up promptly for my appointment, and they claimed that they called and left me a single voicemail cancelling my appointment (there was no voicemail), and I’d need to schedule a new appointment. Three months. So apparently a vasectomy takes at least half a year to schedule– theoretically. I suspect when I wait for this appointment, a new issue will appear. That’s okay, it isn’t at all stressful scheduling, anticipating, and planning for these things. Unprofessional, insensitive, unhelpful.

Brent Suozzi, MD is very thorough and gives you all the pros and cons of possible solutions. He also explains things so you understand. The level of detail is very reassuring!

When I needed help immediately following a surgery, I was brought in, and my medical issue was resolved! The Physician Assistant and nurse helped me with kind, compassionate care, and I experienced relief quickly and professionally! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Dr. Suozzi himself may be a great surgeon and great at what he does. I had a very major surgery and from the time it ended it has been horrible him and his team COMPLETELY dropped the ball.
He never came to follow up with me in the hospital, I was without pain meds for awk cause NO staff members call you back. I’ve tried to call several times with complications and be seen and no one will return my calls. I have to wait another 2 UNTIL MY PRE SCHEDULED FOLLOW UP . BUT IT WILL HAVE BEEN 3WK from the time I’ve called. Even had to go to need check and they told me I needed to see my surgeon. Kinda hard when no one calls you back and the scheduling team says they can’t get u in. This is NOT OK AT ALL ! Who is responsible for your patient care

Everyone there was very professional and very nice, easy to talk to. Dr. Suozzi was very kind and explained everything in detail. I very glad I came to their practice.

Aging and body changes are not pleasant to deal with, however, I have always been treated with patience and thoughtfulness. The office is fabulous, each, and every one of them, and I appreciate the journey they took with me finding a solution to my problems. I highly recommend them!

I had a urolift performed on me in September of 2023. The results were mixed. My urine flow during the day has significantly improved however my nocturia persists worse now than before.

I wake up 4 to 5 times a night with the urge to pee. After a short per each time I burn badly and have to use ice place on my privates for 8 to 10 minutes before I can go back to sleep.

Dr. Dugan told me I have seen improvement with my flow tests but he will not help me to ever pee again like an 18 year old. I already knew that as a 66 year old man. If I only had to wake once or twice a night I would be very happy. But after the procedure nothing changed. I still am up every 1 to 75 minutes every night.

He last saw me and told me to get back with him in 6 months if I do not improve. He then provided me a pamphlet about green light laser surgery as an option. I don’t have much faith in another procedure.

It has been almost 2 months since my visit with that discussion and I am not the least bit better. I am tired beyond belief as I can not sleep longer than an hour and a half. I like Dr. Dugan as a person, but am now not sure he can help me.

Arriving on time is helpful and they maintain schedule. The staff is friendly and can take a joke and have fun. Dr. Dugan is extremely skilled and focused on caring for one’s needs.

Dr. Magee always takes the time to explain things and listen to his patients concerns. He is by far one of the best doctors I’ve come in contact with. We are lucky to have him taking care of multiple people in our family.

Dr Magee is always straight forward and explains my medical conditions in a layman’s terms. Friendly with his demeanor and offers multiple options on most situations. Very grateful for his professionalism over the past 10 years.

I couldnt say enough good about Dr. Masterson and his team. Dr. Is very personable. Felt like he cares from the first appointment to the last. I had bladder cancer and he did 2 surgeries on me. One surgery was 9 hours long…. And today I’m cancer free. His office assistant Angie is a sweet heart. The nurses are very helpful. He is 2.5 hours from my house. I would drive further than that to see him. I’d fly to see him.

Dr, masterson was fabulous with my father and my family. He took time out of his busy schedule to visit my father post-op almost every day in the hospital for 11 days. He truly cared and explained everything to us. He was courteous, kind, and accommodating. Besides being an excellent doctor he’s an excellent person with a great team.

After being in pain for 22 years, the last 5 years so bad I had to quit work. I had
Interstitial cystitis. A painful disease in the bladder. After being referred to Dr Masterson because the other urologist said I had not other options, but a Urostomy I was devastated feeling my life was cut short. I found a kind very knowledgeable, and a doctor with a lot of hope and compassion that I would be fine. What an amazing surgeon. He fixed me up and my pain is gone and I am back to work. I thank God I found Dr. Masterson.

I was told by several emergency room physicians I was living with a ticking time bomb. So my first visit I expected the worst of the worst. Dr Masterson detailed, in layman terms, what was going on. He is very confident I’ll make it through all this. What a relief it was!! Very knowledgeable, precise and to the point. My husband and I left knowing we still had a future together

I would not go to anyone other than Dr Masterson. He treated me for my kidney cancer and consulted on my prostate cancer. He and his staff (especially Angie) are great communicators, are wonderful “people” persons and have deep knowledge and resources for these types of cancer.

This place is a joke! My son I traveled from Elkhart. We were going to be 45 min. Due to travel directions that took us the wrong way. They made us turn around and go back home. After traveling 2hrs already. MY SON REALLY NEEDS THIS APPT. JUST TRASH

Dr Koch is amazing. He took care of my baby brother when he had severe bladder cancer and just took care of my husband as well with prostate cancer. He is very polite and keeps you in formed with everything . Would HIGHLY recommend him.

Going on 3 weeks since my robotic prostatectomy and very pleased. Some pain the first few days and first week with a catheter is no fun. Almost none of the incontinence issues, I started doing the excersises over a month before surgery. Not sure if this is why but I’m happy. Glad I went with Dr Koch and his team. Thank you.

I had a very great experience at IU Health with Dr. Koch and his staff. My journey started in August 19th last year with an elevated psa test of 7.7 with my family doctor. I seen a urologist in a different city which he suggested a biopsy which it tested positive He explained my options, radiation or surgery, with my age being 72 he suggested seeing an oncologist. I went and talked to one which explained my situation very well, but I was not real excited about radiation I had already been leaning more toward surgery even at my age especially after talking with several different people, that had already been through a similar situation. And when I asked them who there doctor had been, the answer was always Dr. Koch. They all highly recommended Dr. Koch. After going to my first visit in Nov. to him I was very sold on surgery. It was set up for January. My case was not a normal one after a MRI the day before surgery showed that it was out of the my prostate into the neck of the Blatter being more difficult and of course scary to me. Dr. Koch thought radiation might still be needed after surgery, The surgery went great, The pathology report came back ,eight lymph nodes were checked and they were negative and seminole vessels nothing was detected and surgery margin was uninvolved. I just went back for my one month PSA blood check and it tested undetectable!! That was the best news I could have ever heard! Thank you Dr. Koch and your team. I couldn’t have made a better decision!!

I was diagnosed with T2 prostate cancer and my local urologist suggested I interview Dr Koch and a radiation oncologist to explore options. There is no one consistent choice for prostate cancer treatment, but even when it is slow growing, I was hoping for a fix that would last at least 15-20 years, at my current age. We selected the daVinci surgery option. Dr Koch has done many of these surgeries each month for many years. It’s good to have that experience to put to work on your case. Dr Bock and then Dr Koch in the interview visit explained their perspective on my situation and were not rushed at all. I had 3 sheets of questions. We opted for surgery. The urology unit is very organized. After the visit, we were given all the appointments from pre-op to post-op, as well as the handouts needed to get familiar with the treatment. The pre-op MRI indicated that my cancer might be advanced to Stage 3. I was worried about whether the surgery strategy would change. I emailed Dr Koch and one evening he called at the house to talk with me about the MRI and his interpretation of my situation.
Surgery was at IU North and all went as planned. He was able to remove it without nerve damage and the path reports showed clear margins and no spread to lymph nodes or vesicles. He went over the surgery before I was moved to the OR and he spent time with my spouse afterward and the next morning. He was also there in the one-week visit with the excellent path reports in hand. Best of all, at one month, my PSA was undetectable.
Dr Koch removed my cancer with care, humility, great bedside manner, and never seemed rushed to get on to his next appointment. I would have to say that most of my appointments occurred 15-45 minutes later than scheduled, but maybe that is because he was spending the same deliberative time with the patients before me. I was happy to wait.
I am pleased to recommend Dr Koch wholeheartedly.

On June 1, 2015 Dr. Koch performed my prostatectomy. Everything from my initial consult to being discharged post-surgery went perfectly. I would recommend IU/ Dr. Koch to anyone needing medical intervention in this area. I could not have asked for a better experience with a difficult situation. I left confident that the matter was 100% resolved. I just had my 6 month check-up and am cancer free!

My husband has been a patient of Dr Koch’s for almost 20 years. We drive 5 hours one way to see him. We actually look forward to the visits because of his wonderful staff and the knowledge, care , kindness and comfort level he has given us. Dr Koch is the best in every way possible.

Our two year old toddler was seen by Dr Kaefer and had to have surgery performed and we had such an amazing experience with him!! Such a kind man who explains things thoroughly and truly cares for his patients. Even as going as far to give my husband and I his personal number to text him with updates after surgery. If you ever have the chance to be seen by him I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. it’s rare to come in contact with a doctor like him.

Dr. Kaefer has been my son( layden mertens) doctor for 9 years.. He’s the best doctor ever.. Not only is he a great doctor, he’s wonderful with kids.. He actually sits down and talks with the children and the parents and actually ask there opion on things and don’t rush out the room like some doctor’s do.. My son loves having him as his blood doctor..I couldn’t be more happier..

Thankful to have gotten one of the best urologist around. But he was not good for my condition. He would never listen to what we was saying, he was convinced I had an overactive bladder for a few years. We did several test to get no where. As soon as I turned 18 I saw a urologist at IU who immediately did a scope in my bladder to find I had IC, an incurable bladder disease that coluld have easily been diagnosed 4 years prior if Dr. K would have done a scope. Now I have such a horrible case of IC I have symptoms no other IC’rs have. I now have chronic pain/ulcers/bleeding in my bladder that has not been able to controlled.

Dr. Kaefer performed surgery on me in Jan. of 2006 and I’ve been going strong ever since. This is an excellent doctor with an excellent staff. Thank you for giving me my independence!
