We love Dr. Jarrett. We’ve been on a journey with him for the past few years and we couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else. He and his team have become like family and we will truly miss them when our journey comes to an end. This whole team has been an answer to our prayers and more.

I had the worst experience with this clinic! I went in for fertility treatment after seven pregnancy losses. I met with Dr. Jarrett and we decided to try to go to IUI route. I only have one remaining fallopian tube after an ectopic pregnancy so, I asked him to schedule the procedure when they would send dye through my tube. I wanted to make sure the remaining tube had a clear pathway before we proceeded with IUI. During my appointment, Dr. Jared told me that he could do even better and schedule a laparoscopic procedure to go in and JUST LOOK at my tube and if anything was wrong repair it. I said OK and proceeded with the laparoscopic procedure only to wake up and find out that he had taken my only remaining two without my permission. He called My Husband in the middle of my surgery and while I was incapacitated on the table and made him think that I would die or something really bad would happen if he didn’t cut my tube out right away. My Husband was under duress and thought that my life was in danger so even though he was bee apprehensive, he agreed to allow him to cut out my only remaining fallopian tube. I don’t have any tubes now and he stole option of getting a second opinion from me, Or having a miracle happen because I know people who have been told their fallopian tubes don’t work and they went on to have natural pregnancies. I told this man that I cannot afford IVF and I did not want to be left with that as my only remaining option. He never once asked me if something was wrong then there was a potential he would remove my tube Because I would’ve told him under no circumstances, would I ever allow him to just remove my tube without me having to say so in the decision. The facility still tried to charge me for the IUI services that I was no longer qualified for because Dr. Jared took my fallopian tube without my permission. This is left me spiraling into a deep depression. I have nightmares of waking up and reliving that experience and being told my fallopian tube was taken from me. My husband has to live with so much guilt of knowing that he allowed this doctor to do something to me that I did not want done. Going to this facility and allowing Dr. Jarett to touch my body was the worst experience of my life!!

I can’t even thank Dr. Jarrett enough! I’m always referring someone to him if anyone has had any problems getting pregnant. He gave me a slim chance of having a child due to my age but BAM, he made it happen and we cant even put into words what he had done. And not one child, but two after having an embryo frozen for two years! We are so blessed. Please families do not give up! That was our third try! God is good and so are the doctors he brought to us!

I had gone to two doctors before Dr. Jarrett and all told me I was perfectly fine and on paper should not be struggling to conceive even though I kept telling the doctors something was wrong with me and my cycles were insanely painful.. After many rounds of medication and hcg shots I decided to make the leap and get a 3rd opinion. During my first appt ( which is virtual ) he immediately called out what he thought was the problem and recommended a procedure for me. After the procedure he confirmed it was exactly what he thought. We asked if we could try a medicated round and he told us it wasnt necessary and to try naturally. We were so skeptical and worried because it had already taken us 4 years thus far. Then 2 months later (first month doesn’t count because you’re healing!) We naturally conceived thanks to Dr. Jarret!! We didnt beleive the first 6 pregnancy testes because we had lost hope and thought it would never happen for us but Jarret made it happen! We praise him every chance we get when people ask us about our journey. Thank you so much to him and his team! Everyone in the office is absolutely amazing and so kind.

Dr Jarrett is phenomenal! We have absolutely loved working with him for our IVF process and Dr Provost did our egg retrieval and she was wonderful as well. Front desk can be a bit abrupt but overall experience has been overwhelmingly positive!

I’m only in the beginning stages. I had my initial consult, did my labs and genetic screening and spoke to the financial office (SaTasha is amazing). Everyone has been so helpful, knowledgeable, professional and supportive. It’s also covered by my insurance which is perfect. If they’re within your insurance network, definitely give them a call. But make sure to keep their time zone in mind. I live in Illinois so they’re an hour ahead and I missed an appointment because I wasn’t thinking about it. Good luck!

Dr. Provost and her team have been absolutely amazing during this difficult season of my life. My husband and I started seeing her a year and half ago after struggling for a year and half on our own. She helped guide us and finding out answers as to why we could conceive. Her team made our dreams a reality, we are currently pregnant. We recently graduated and excited to start our new journey with OBGYN. I will forever be indebted to Dr Provost and her team. If you are 1 in 8 and looking for a fabulous care team I highly recommend Dr. Provost.

If you value patient care, communication and prefer to not advocate for yourself the entire way this is not the place for you. I should have listened to my gut several times before my transfer. Haley and Dr. Jarret are both lovely providers and know how to do damage control, but didn’t necessarily listen when I questioned why the protocol was different from one proven to work for me. The nursing staff is horrible. Multiple times I got told to start medications I hadn’t even been prescribed yet, showed up to appointments that weren’t put on the schedule, wasn’t called with lab results/next steps and was given different information from everyone I talked to. I don’t blame IFI for my failed transfer, but I do blame them for a horrible experience. I consulted with Dr. Provost after my failed transfer which to me was a bit odd to be poached by another doctor, but she was the one that called with negative lab results. If I decided to stay there I would have stuck with Dr. Jarret as I did not vibe with Dr. Provost. It’s not great practice to be condescending towards the only doctor (another clinic) who was able to get me a child — laughing at his notes, commenting on the small amount of cycles that clinic did and disregarding a protocol proven to work for me. When I told her I felt like I was a back burner patient because I did my embryo retrieval somewhere else she admitted most transfer patients feel somewhat that way. When I decided to move my embryos to another clinic it was days after I sent a portal message that I got someone to call me back. One plus is IFI did cover the cost to move our embryos because they knew I lost all trust in them. I just figured I lucked out at my first clinic and that was out of the norm, but it’s not, because the new clinic I’m at has already been a night and day difference. Lesson learned to do my own research and not go somewhere off the recommendation of one person.

This clinic is an absolute JOKE. The doctor has zero communication skills, which is unacceptable for something as sensitive as fertility care. They make you feel like just another number. The billing process? A total scam. They keep finding ways to charge you more—even after you’ve paid thousands—without clear explanations. It feels like they’re just milking you for every dollar until they legally can’t anymore. Do yourself a favor and RUN. Find a clinic that actually cares about their patients, not just their wallets. Adding this: They replied nicely on here but are not capable of having ONE billing or financial person to reach out to me to resolve the billing issue we’ve been having since last year. and are still sending me billing after billing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‼️DR. JARRETT‼️ If I could give him 10 million stars I would!! Talk about top of the notch care!! This man took my wife and I under his wing, listened to what we did and didn’t want, addressed our concerns, constantly gave us reassurance while also being a realist!! It’s because of him my wife and I are pregnant with our miracle baby!! The whole staff there is personable and extremely charismatic. Nurse Jami is a GOD SEND! She has also been fighting and rooting for us and with us from the very beginning. We have loved everything about this experience but one of the main reason is because they never gave up even when the odds were stacked against us! I recommend IFI to all of my friends TTC and will always recommend Dr. Jarrett!

DR JARRETT and nurses were wonderful however their «financial team» is crap, very lazy and won’t fix theirs mistakes. Looking to move embryos and seek treatment else where do to their financial advisors who are insisting we don’t have coverage (we do) and that they are out of network (they aren’t) and want us to pay out of pocket. Explained to them that information is incorrect especially since they did not have my current insurance information (we switched providers) but they’re insisting we are self pay. Would not recommend unless you have time to verify everything they charge you for because yes they over charge and double for «treatments».

Midwest has been an absolute blessing in our life, making me and my husband’s desire for parenthood a reality! Dr. Kate O’Leary has been wonderful, giving us guidance and making adjustments for our specific case along the way. The staff has been so caring and understanding during such a delicate time in our lives. Whenever I had a concern, they were great to answer my questions and support along the way. We did 4 rounds of IUI and 1 round of IVF, becoming pregnant on our first transfer. We will absolutely be back to transfer our other embryos:)

We came to Midwest Fertility completely out of our league and overwhelmed with news that we had to do IVF in order to have a chance at conceiving. Midwest has a good process to help you dive right in the deep end of appointments, they were very quick to be able to see us too and start our IVF journey. They partner with the Lending Club, which was the only way we could afford them as IVF wasn’t covered by my insurance. The process of signing up for the loan was overwhelming but they walked you through everything involved and we were able to have the money to proceed the next day. They are very professional and have such extremely good monitoring for both the egg retrieval and embryo transfer. The nurses are so sweet and understanding, gentle at every appointment and over the phone, especially when bad news is given. We’ve experienced all the highs and lows at Midwest; from failing our first egg retrieval, to the success of our first transfer resulting in a pregnancy! They got the job done, and were there for us through the entire process. The app is mostly helpful once you figure out how to use it and communicate by it, and they do make sure to call you back promptly in their hours if you leave a message. Dr. O’Leery is very professional and personable, she doesn’t let there be any dumb questions. 5 stars, would highly recommend, we will be using them again for any future transfers.

This place was a God send for my family after a horrible experience at another fertility clinic. Not sure how this clinic has anything less than 5 stars. Dr. Will is truly amazing, I knew from our first consult this experience was going to be different. The communication from everyone was a game changer — the scheduler when I called for an initial consult, Shelley the embryo shipping coordinator, the phlebotomist just giving a heads up on wait times, the ultrasound tech telling me what was coming next, the nurses who called after every appointment and returned messages and phone calls the same day. I only saw Dr. Will several times during the transfer process, but there was never any doubt my labs and scans were being reviewed by him and he was calling the shots. Seems like it should be the norm everywhere, but it’s unfortunately not. They made the process as stress free as possible and as personal as possible as well. This experience was night and day from a previous transfer and not just because of success but because of the people who were apart of it and how I was treated. My growing family is all because of Midwest Fertility.

For a place of business who is dealing with women in the most vulnerable situation, the office, nurses, and Dr I dealt with were terrible. Expecting me to know the fine details of what mediations and testing results meant with zero explanation. Terrible communication with results when it’s a matter of last minute appts and a positive or negative tests. No bed side manner when going through a pregnancy loss. No follow up communication after experiencing a pregnancy loss. Miscarried in may, no follow up until I called and was told I needed to test anyway after experiencing the loss and already getting blood tests to confirm. Have never heard from them again to follow up on care or next steps and it’s December. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend this office to anyone.

My IVF journey was very good. All the staff were very cooperative, and my doctor, Dr. Will, became a means for my miracle baby. Thanks to God that my decision was right. Without anyone’s reference, I chose Dr. Will just based on online reviews. I feel blessed, and I highly recommend her.

After one blood test that indicated premature ovarian failure, we scheduled an appointment. Instead of looking at any hormone issues and trying that first, we were immediately told we would need donor eggs and had less than a 1% chance of conceiving on our own. 2 months later I was pregnant on my own. The thing that frustrated us the most was that they immediately jumped ahead to donor eggs instead of looking at root causes first. Especially when I only had one abnormal blood test. It felt like a waste of $300. Especially when we only got a video visit.

Marilyn Haywood started the fertility care clinic to help heal and educate women. My wife and I have been very impressed with her dedication to our family, my wife’s health, and Marilyn’s own education and knowledge. The clinic work’s with Dr. Michael Padilla (their NaPro physician), and he is also a great wealth of knowledge and experience. Together, Dr. Padilla, and Marilyn have cleared up many symptoms my wife was having in her hormonal cycle including: painful periods, auto-immune reactivity, hormonal imbalance, and infertility concerns. In the past, we’ve had really bad experiences with Creighton fertility planning, and Marilyn has reversed the past experiences with her empathy, knowledge, and highly detailed explanations/support. The Franciscan fertility team has developed very helpful guides and easy to understand instruction that give you power and understanding of your hormonal health and body. Thank you Marilyn and your team for the great work you do, and hopefully many more family’s can benefit going into the future.

Update: I am holding my 4 month old as I type this!! —— I have been a patient of Franciscan Fertility Care and Dr. Padilla since April. We are still seeking answers but I have never experienced such a thorough and understanding patient care team in my life. Sarah and Dr. Padilla work together to identify solutions and are willing to hear out any lay research I’ve done. While I have not gotten pregnant yet, they have helped me understand that getting healthy cycles is the most important and conceiving is a side effect of that. They truly care about my health and getting me on the right track rather than finding bandaid solutions. I can’t scream their praises enough. If you are close to giving up, let them be your last effort.

Very happy with my experience here. The education is thorough and useful, and the plan of care is individualized for every patient. The doctors and nurses are good listeners, are kind, creative and flexible. I learned so much from the nurse specialists – I was shocked no one had ever taught me these things before! Every woman, whether or not she is trying to conceive, would benefit from going through their evidence – based education. I’ve worked in healthcare for years, but didn’t really understand my own body until I met with Marilyn. I initially made an appointment because frequent miscarriages run in my family. I was about to get married and try to get pregnant, and wanted to know if I might have that same problem. I discovered my progesterone was borderline low, was prescribed a supplement, and am now in my second trimester with a healthy baby. I’m very thankful for Franciscan FertilityCare! I saw that another reviewer mentioned this clinic only works with married couples, but my understanding is that they work with women of all ages and relationship statuses. My fiance was welcome to attend any session, but it wasn’t required.

My family has nothing but gratitude for the Franciscan FertilityCare Center! After 2.5 years of recurrent miscarriages, my husband and I finally made the decision to seek help in November of 2021. Marilyn was extremely flexible with our schedules, and always had snacks She taught both of us about our reproductive health and catered every session to our needs. Dr. Michael Padilla used our charting to find out what was wrong vs quick fixes. He was thorough, informative and honest throughout. In May of 2022, we shared the news of our pregnancy! Marilyn and Dr. Padilla continued to monitor us throughout the pregnancy, even offering support with breastfeeding and postpartum needs. Our healthy 1 year old daughter is a blessing we will always be thankful for! THANK YOU FRANCISCAN FERTILITYCARE CENTER!

I had an absolutely amazing experience through the fertility center. Everyone was so kind, caring, and actually took the time to get to know me and my journey. I felt like the Creighton Method was super unique to me and my body and it worked! After 4 1/2 years of unexplained infertility, I now have a 3 week old! I would highly recommend this method and fertility center to anyone looking to achieve a pregnancy.

Complete waste of time going in for the initial consultation!!!! They only work with married couples only at this fertility center. I mean, I respect the values of Franciscan but please be up front before the presentation. That’s a hour I will never get back. Not upset about that but could’ve mentioned the fact that you don’t even do referrals for single parents. And the Creighton model system they use is for fertility is nothing special. Same thing can be tracked on the iPhone Health app.

**Warning: Do Not Trust Dr. Michael Henry at Henry Fertility** I feel compelled to warn others about our extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Michael Henry. My wife was upfront about her large fibroid—10 cm—before we even began any fertility treatments. Despite this, Dr. Henry assured us that the fibroid would not be an issue and encouraged us to proceed without any hesitation. Fast forward just a month before treatment began, and my wife suffered a miscarriage. We later learned that the fibroid’s size significantly impacted her uterus, which was only 10 cm, leaving no room for the baby to grow. It’s infuriating to think that we were misled, and Dr. Henry downplayed a serious condition that ultimately contributed to our loss. I cannot stress enough how important it is for patients to receive honest and thorough assessments of their medical situations. Dr. Henry’s dismissive attitude towards the fibroid was not only irresponsible but devastating for us. He talked about money and cost most of the appointment. Please, do yourself a favor and seek care elsewhere. Trust your instincts and be wary of the reassurances given by this doctor. Your health and peace of mind are far too important to risk.

We were with Henry Fertility for a year (4 IUIs, 1 canceled egg retrieval, 1 egg retrieval, and 3 embryo transfers – all failed), before we moved on to a different clinic. I was not aware of the lack of care I was receiving before switching clinics. Also, I waited to write this review until we had success at our new clinic. I got pregnant within 6 months at my new clinic because my doctor saw me as an individual and provided actual solutions rather than getting me in and out as quickly as possible. Before our last embryo transfer with Dr. Henry – I asked Danielle, «Is there ANYTHING else we can do before this last transfer? This is our last opportunity. Any extra testing? Vitamins? Medication changes?» Her response was, «be the healthiest you can be». Not only did that immediately put the blame on me, but it was a complete copout. There were in fact other things I could have done – within one visit at my new clinic, I was told to take x,y,z vitamins, saline sonogram, HSG test, full blood panel, and we were told to switch our sperm donor (using donor sperm due to MFI). On my first visit with my new doctor, she pointed out that the sperm we were using the entire time at Henry had non-progressive motility. I was shocked that this was missed. That would have saved us 4 IUIs AND an IVF cycle using that donor. All it took was my new doctor actually taking the time to deep dive into my records. When I asked Dr. Henry if he had any possible explanation for our transfers not working, he said «well your eggs didn’t look great» without any further explanation. This led us to believe we wouldn’t have success with IVF and were discussing embryo adoption. Had I listened to Dr. Henry, I wouldn’t be typing this pregnant with my own egg that was actually perfectly fine. My new doctor explained exactly what she saw with my eggs and thought it maybe was because my STIM meds were too high. She was right. Since I was a poor responder to the meds, Dr. Henry’s solution was to pump up the dosage. I was on 525 of Menopur AND 525 of Gonal, which looking back is INSANE. Both say on their packaging not to go higher than 450. Not only did this tank the quality of my eggs, which I do believe was why none of the transfers stuck, but it also cost us an extra $15k in medications. There is no evidence that shows a dose higher than the max of 450 will yield better results – it is actually doing more harm than good and a complete money pit. My new doctor completely changed my IVF protocol because I was a poor responder. Dr. Henry had the opportunity to make a change as I had a canceled cycle giving him data to go off of. We instead just bulldozed ahead with a higher dose. I want to point out that this clinic batches patients.I felt there were too many patients and not enough nurses. It felt like herding cattle every time I went in for a monitoring Ultrasound. They do it first come first serve and tell you to make sure you arrive before they open so you don’t have to wait. This made it so stressful, especially traveling from Terre Haute. I would leave my house at 6:00 am to hopefully not have to wait an hour for an ultrasound. I also wouldn’t hear from the nurses until sometimes 6 or 7 PM for my daily med dosage. It was just completely unnecessary added stress. Please do your research on this clinics’ success rates. The proof is in the data. Dr. Henry is a nice person and a good doctor so it does make me sad to write this, but maybe he just has too many patients he is trying to juggle which takes away from the individual care everyone deserves when trying to start a family. Things slipped through the cracks. I fear this is going to get worse as Henry is opening more satellite offices, which means more patients. I feel it is important to share our story as we had a COMPLETELY opposite experience at our new clinic.I truly do not feel like our success with them was luck but rather individualized care that everyone deserves. Henry follows a plan A for everyone, and you will struggle if your body doesn’t respond to that protocol. There’s no plan B or C.

Honestly cannot recommend this place based on the service I have had so far. Dr. Henry seemed knowledgeable and had a game plan in place. His staff was supposed to call in prescriptions for me last week and that still hasn’t been done. I’ve emailed and tried calling without a response. Based on this alone I do not feel confident that this practice has my best interests at heart or a level of care that I deem acceptable. Really disappointed and disheartening to experience this right after my first appointment. * Follow up edit* After waiting 2 weeks for them to actually call in my prescriptions I foolishly kept my ultrasound appointment because I really like Dr. Henry and just thought this could still work out. When I confirmed everything with the clinic I was never told this was out of my network and I would have to pay out of pocket. $315 for an ultrasound is insane. At this point I will have to move to a different clinic and start over again.

I wish I would have explored my options before landing on Henry Fertility. I chose this out of convenience, because they were coming to the Voss Center which is local for me. My initial appointment went great, Dr Henry explained everything. I left feeling about 75% comfortable with the plan. I left with follow up questions, naturally, after having all of that information thrown at you. The nurses in office never wanted to answer my questions. I was talked down to and dismissed on several occasions. My latest phone call started like this- you didn’t call when you started your period. I said I didn’t know I needed to, as I wasn’t planning on starting until March. Helen’s response was- well the nurse in office went over all of that with you. Actually, she didn’t. As we weren’t going to be doing it right now. And proceeded to tell me I would now not get to proceed with my cycle. Another time I called with questions I had a million abbreviations thrown at me and felt degraded because I didn’t speak at their level. I finally emailed Helen, and let her know that I too was a nurse and couldn’t believe the way in which she talked to people. The response I received was shocking- ultimately telling me I needed to take my business elsewhere. Which, thank god. What a blessing in disguise. To top all of this off, I went to leave a review on fb and was blocked. The actual pettiness. Don’t worry, the review will still be placed. Please, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. It’s bad enough going through the fertility issues but to have nurses displaying 0 compassion- nah. I’ll happily explore my options!

My husband and I went through Henry Fertility in 2020. We are very fortunate that our ivf journey ended up with healthy twins after the first round of ivf. Before ivf, we had 1 failed iui that resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. Both procedures were done through Henry Fertility. The staff at Henry Fertility was always available to answer questions, kind, and informative. They took calls and emails after hours. Dr. Henry was always informative and thorough. He explained the process to us, the medications, and next steps. I also had several appointments after confirmation of twins before being released to my ob. I appreciate how thorough he was before releasing me. I found the costs to also be reasonable. We couldn’t have had a better experience through the difficult journey.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Henry Fertility, I could not recommend them enough! Dr.Henry and his staff are very thorough and knowledgeable about the whole IVF process. They had a game plan for me even when the HSG showed new evidence and they had a new plan immediately after. From the HSG confirming I had to do IVF to have children, to the 10 week ultrasound scan reaffirming my twins were thriving in my uterus, I felt supported and truly heard. They answered every question I had whether it was in person, on the phone or in an email. It’s not easy being told both your fallopian tubes are occluded and have to come out. Then you can do all the steps for something as daunting as IVF. Surgeries and procedures seem so scary. And then you ask all the questions and realize «Oh, that’s not so bad» and «This was way easier than I anticipated» Truly a positive experience that I fully intend to do again.

I’m honestly not sure how Henry has any bad reviews. ***Miscarriage mentioned***Since day one he has shown compassion and understanding. He was so confident in the treatment plan and helping us conceive. We’ve been to other doctors in Indianapolis where I went through so much for so little. For 6yrs.. Soon as we made the switch we did two months of treatments with him before going to IVF and ended up pregnant 2nd try. Unfortunately it ended with a loss in the 3rd month due to the baby having Turner syndrome. Him and his staff was so compassionate and was there with us throughout the miscarriage, giving us hope we didn’t have to wait long to try again. So we decided we will give it 2 more chances and ended up pregnant again the next treatment. We’re now 5months with triplets and that’s just with treatments not ivf! We couldn’t be more thankful for Henry and his staff all the wonderful ladies who work with him have been nothing but caring. We’re truly blessed to have had them on our journey! Would highly recommend him!:)

I can’t say enough good things about everyone here! From our nurse Kim and Dr. Donahue to our embryologist Katie, everyone was amazing. Family Beginnings IVF treatment facility has been a true blessing for our family. We wouldn’t have our baby girl without their expertise and care. While we easily conceived multiple boys naturally, we always felt our family wasn’t complete without a daughter. Family Beginnings made this dream possible. Yes, the cost is high, but that’s an issue with insurance companies, not this wonderful doctor’s office. The staff was compassionate and professional, guiding us every step of the way. Highly recommend!

I typically only write reviews if my experience has been negative; however, our experience with family beginnings was exceptional. Dr. James Donahue is truly an incredible doctor and person. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff or this facility. Leading up to this procedure we had dealt with so many unprofessional doctors, and specialist – and spent years working with them. Going to family beginnings was such a breath of fresh air. Whenever we had questions, we were always able to get a hold of the office. The invocell pricing was incredibly affordable relative to other clinics. While positive results are not guaranteed, I felt that they did everything they could to help us have a baby.

Although Dr. Donahue and Family Beginnings did give us our daughter, we switched to Dr. Gentry with Advanced Fertility with our son. Dr. Donahue was wonderful and we truly liked him, but the nurses were frustrating, rude, and unprofessional. I believe the lady’s name was Kim who made you feel ignorant and incorrect. Also, Family Beginnings appears to be the lowest cost, but there are so many things they hide. When we switched to Advanced Fertility, it was much lower cost and everything was up front. Dr. Donahue’s office is disorganized and you have no clue what to expect as opposed to Dr. Gentry and the wonderful nurses and staff who explain everything right up front. Also, Dr. Gentry’s office would code certain things and insurance would cover it as opposed to Dr. Donahue’s and they simply stated «your insurance won’t cover anything». I understand going through IVF is very frustrating in general, but Family Beginnings did nothing to make the process easier. Like I stated, I am thankful for the many embryos that Dr. Donahue was able to give us, but enjoyed the process with Dr. Gentry and his staff much more.

We don’t write this lightly but after a year+ of trying to resolve things privately we feel we have no choice but to share our experience in hopes of helping others avoid the same painful experience. Our journey with Stork’s Nest started with hope—but it quickly turned south when communication broke down, unexpected fees appeared, and we encountered serious concerns around ethics and accountability. At first, things seemed okay but when we started asking reasonable questions—like why we were being charged medical screening fees by both the agency and our clinic—things began to unravel. Despite promises, we had to manage many key legal and medical steps ourselves. We declined to use Stork Nest’s owner’s law firm to draft our gestational surrogacy agreement due to a conflict of interest (which their own contract advises against) and feel this decision may have contributed to how we were treated. After legal agreements were signed, it took over a month to be introduced to our gestational carrier (GC) as the agency agreement prohibits direct contact. Then, just days after the GC was medically cleared and less than two weeks before embryo transfer, the agency abruptly terminated our agreement—without meaningful explanation. It felt like instead of working through our concerns Stork’s Nest simply discarded us and moved forward with another set of intended parents. We later discovered that escrow funds had been approved for expenses we believe violated our agreement. When we raised these issues with both Stork’s Nest and their escrow partner, SeedTrust Escrow, we received no accountability. We requested a stop payment on our agency fees because our agreement was terminated with less than 48 hours of being officially cleared to start the embryo transfer. $8,000 has been withheld since May 2024 unless we sign a separation agreement we feel is coercive and potentially exposes us to further risk. Even more troubling, the escrow company is named in that agreement—despite claiming to be a neutral third party. We’ve attempted mediation, Seeds Ethics has refused to investigate their member Agency yet all has failed because Storks Nest simply refuses to do the right thing and give us our money back. We never wanted to share our story publicly but being pressured to stay silent in exchange for money we believe was never rightfully earned by Storks Nest is something we can’t accept. Intended parents deserve compassion, transparency and protection. Sadly, that’s not what we experienced. Surrogacy in Indiana is unregulated; meaning your gestational surrogacy agreement is as meaningful as a handshake and IPs have little recourse if something goes wrong. We urge others to ask hard questions, read Indiana laws for themselves and get independent legal advice. We wish someone had warned us. If Stork’s Nest believes anything is inaccurate, they’re welcome to respond—we stand by every word and have documentation.

I don’t know that there are enough positive words in the English language to describe Amanda/The Stork’s Nest. From my very first email from Amanda until the day that I delivered my first surrobabe (and beyond), she was nothing but positive, always available, and most importantly, genuine. She is, by far, one of the most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting/working with and it is very apparent just how invested she is in doing everything she can to turn dreams into reality. Amanda was extremely involved in the entire process and made sure that the process went as smoothly as possible (and in my case, it truly could not have gone any smoother!). It is clear that she has the knowledge and experience to handle whatever is thrown at her (even if it meant taking a phone call the day after she delivered her own baby). Amanda is one of the biggest reasons that I would consider doing another journey. Not only did she make sure that all of the necessities were taken care of, she was able to add a personal touch to help make it memorable. I could not have asked for a better person to see me through this process!

We had a wonderful experience with the Stork’s Nest Agency and the kind woman who runs it, Amanda Sapp. When we first found Amanda, we knew nothing about surrogacy, which was our only choice for having a second child. She walked us through the process step by step and made the whole experience so easy and comfortable. She is an attorney as well as a nurse, and is perfect for this type of job. The nursing side of her definitely showed itself to us, as she delicately explained everything the surrogate has to undergo to qualify for surrogacy. She then explained in detail how the contracts work and made all of it so easy to understand. She matched us with the perfect surrogate, with whom we still communicate and we now have a beautiful little boy. I would recommend this experience to anyone who cannot carry a child and I would go with The Stork’s Nest Agency and Amanda 100% of the time. She was absolutely fantastic!

Catalog of services offered by fertility clinics in Indianapolis

    Initial Consultation & Diagnostic Testing

The initial phase at a fertility clinic typically involves a comprehensive initial consultation and diagnostic testing. This process begins with a detailed discussion of your medical history, menstrual cycles, and reproductive goals. Subsequently, various tests are performed to assess both partners' fertility potential – including hormone level analysis, semen analysis, and imaging studies like ultrasounds.

    Hormonal Assessment & Monitoring

A significant portion of initial investigations focuses on hormonal assessment and monitoring. Fertility clinics utilize blood tests to measure levels of hormones such as follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol, and progesterone. These measurements are crucial in determining ovarian function and identifying potential imbalances that may impact ovulation.

    Ovulation Monitoring & Induction

For women struggling with ovulatory issues, ovulation monitoring and induction services are offered. This involves tracking menstrual cycles through basal body temperature charting and hormone testing to pinpoint the precise timing of ovulation. If natural ovulation is not occurring, medications like clomiphene citrate or letrozole can be administered to stimulate follicle development and increase the chances of successful fertilization.

    Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a common initial fertility treatment. This involves directly placing sperm into the woman’s uterus around the time of ovulation, bypassing the cervix and increasing the likelihood of fertilization. IUI can be performed with or without ovarian stimulation.

    In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

In vitro fertilization (IVF) represents a more advanced fertility treatment option. This process involves retrieving eggs from the woman’s ovaries, fertilizing them with sperm in a laboratory setting, and then returning the resulting embryos to the woman’s uterus. IVF is often utilized when other treatments have been unsuccessful or when specific genetic concerns exist.

    Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)

Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) is frequently offered alongside IVF. This involves analyzing a few cells from an embryo to screen for chromosomal abnormalities and inherited genetic disorders before transferring the embryo back into the woman’s uterus, minimizing the risk of miscarriage and ensuring a healthy pregnancy.

    Egg Freezing/Ovarian Preservation

Fertility clinics also provide services for egg freezing or ovarian preservation. This allows individuals to preserve their fertility by collecting and storing eggs for future use – offering options for delaying childbearing, pursuing medical treatments like cancer therapy, or simply wanting to postpone parenthood.

    Supportive Care & Counseling

Recognizing the emotional challenges associated with infertility treatment, fertility clinics often offer supportive care and counseling services. These resources can include individual or group sessions with therapists specializing in reproductive medicine, providing guidance, coping strategies, and a supportive environment for patients and their partners throughout the journey.

Frequently asked questions about fertility clinics in Indianapolis

What is a fertility clinic and what services do they typically offer?

A fertility clinic is a specialized medical center that focuses on helping individuals and couples overcome challenges related to conception. These clinics typically offer a range of diagnostic and treatment options, including hormone testing, ovarian stimulation with medications like Clomiphene or Letrozole, intrauterine insemination (IUI), and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Many also provide genetic counseling and support services.

How do I know if a fertility clinic is right for me?

Determining the appropriate fertility clinic requires careful consideration. Start by researching clinics based on their success rates, which are often reported as live birth per cycle or overall success rates. It’s also crucial to evaluate the experience and qualifications of the reproductive endocrinologists and other staff members. Don't hesitate to ask about the clinic’s patient satisfaction ratings and whether they offer a comprehensive support system.

What are the different types of fertility treatments offered?

Several fertility treatments are available, each suited for specific situations. These include: Lifestyle Modifications (diet, exercise), Ovulation Induction (using medications to stimulate egg release), Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) (introducing sperm directly into the uterus), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) (fertilizing eggs with sperm outside the body and then transferring the embryo), and Egg Freezing (Cryopreservation) – preserving eggs for future use. The clinic will recommend the most appropriate treatment based on your individual needs.

What is involved in an initial consultation at a fertility clinic?

An initial consultation with a fertility specialist typically involves a thorough review of your medical history, including menstrual cycles, previous pregnancies, and any existing health conditions. The doctor will perform a physical examination and order diagnostic tests such as hormone levels, ultrasounds, and potentially a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to assess the fallopian tubes. Be prepared to discuss your family history and expectations.

How much do fertility treatments cost?

The costs associated with fertility treatments can vary significantly depending on the chosen method, the number of cycles attempted, and the specific clinic. IVF is generally the most expensive option due to the complex procedures involved. IUI is typically less costly than IVF. It’s essential to discuss payment options, insurance coverage, and potential financing arrangements with the clinic's billing department before starting any treatment. Understanding the financial commitment upfront is crucial.

What factors influence a fertility clinic’s success rates?

Several factors contribute to a fertility clinic’s success rates, including the experience of the reproductive endocrinologists, the quality of the laboratory equipment, and the overall patient selection process. Clinics often track their outcomes meticulously and report them transparently. It's important to understand that success rates can vary depending on factors such as age, diagnosis, and treatment protocol.

What is a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) and why is it performed?

A hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is an X-ray procedure used to visualize the uterus and fallopian tubes. It involves injecting a small amount of contrast dye into the uterus through the cervix, allowing doctors to identify any blockages or abnormalities in the tubes – which could be preventing conception. The HSG can also help determine if the uterus is smooth and symmetrical, essential for successful implantation.

What are the risks associated with fertility treatments?

Like all medical procedures, fertility treatments carry potential risks. These may include multiple pregnancies, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), infection, bleeding, and emotional distress. It's crucial to discuss these risks openly with your doctor and understand the management strategies in place to minimize them. Regular monitoring throughout treatment can help identify and address any complications early on.

How does egg freezing (cryopreservation) work?

Egg freezing, or cryopreservation, involves retrieving eggs from your ovaries, freezing them using liquid nitrogen, and storing them for later use. This option is particularly beneficial for women who want to delay childbearing due to medical reasons, career aspirations, or personal choices. The frozen eggs can be thawed and fertilized with sperm at a later date when the woman is ready to attempt pregnancy.

What kind of support services do fertility clinics typically offer?

Many fertility clinics provide comprehensive support services beyond just medical treatments. These may include counseling, psychological support, nutritional guidance, and educational resources to help patients cope with the emotional challenges associated with infertility treatment. Some clinics also offer assistance with navigating insurance coverage and financial planning – providing a holistic approach to patient care.
