I finally found a great dentist that I can trust. Dr. Gaharwar has been very patient and provided great dental care. My wife and I feel confident coming to her for the last 2 years.

Truly Grateful to Dr. Gaharwar! She removed a large stubborn molar tooth that another dentist could not get out. She did it very quickly and pain free. I experienced great care here from the Doctor and staff. Highly Recommend!

I came to this office with family member and while waiting i over hear the doctor yelling at the staff for something in front of everyone! This is beyond disappointing. If this is how they treat the staff who is there to work and help them how are they treating the clients who come in! Don’t come here go somewhere else where they will treat you nicely!

Jordan Hill

This place is very dirty and the staff doesn’t seem to know what they are doing. I arrived and was sent a text to wait in my car for them to call me. I waited over an hour with seemingly nobody else there and by the time they finally called me back i was ready to nope out of there. I had already paid for xrays and got my old xrays sent to them (which might i add nobody charges for) but they went another almost $100 just for them to send you your xrays that you already paid for from them….make it make sense. I’m extremely glad I didn’t have them do the dental work after realizing all the fake reviews they have.

Julie Terrell

They are definitely not 24 hrs (or until midnight). Had a tooth extraction here, called due to pain (no they did not give me pain meds so thanks for that), and their phones were going to answering machines by 830pm. Update: drove up there. Open sign is on, looks like they decided to take a early day anyways. But hey, website still says open until 12am everyday!!

Julie Terrell ☆ 1/5
Rebecca Purdy

First off, this place is not 24/7 by any means. The time that says open til midnight is not accurate. And most days the dentist is out of office by 8pm…. I’m going through this office for my denture process. I’ve had many many appointments with different staff, my dentist Dr Adam has been wonderful. Payment setup was relatively easy, insurance accepted. I have, however had to deal with a dental hygienist who made a snarky comment about where to find a toothbrush. And a comment from a receptionist about missed appointments despite communication about my circumstances, including broken down vehicles, moving across town and having a new breastfed baby. I’d say come here if you have to.

Jennifer Plymate

My son needed emergency tooth extraction, they were friendly, understanding, and compassionate. Dr. Quiz was great, talked through the whole process and made my son feel relaxed. Price comparison wasn't bad, considering he had no insurance, he would definitely recommend them. I would post a picture of my son's tooth, but its pretty graphic, the root was huge, looked like a rattlesnake tail. LOL! GEESH ….. Nevertheless all is well.

The dentist I met with was friendly and very professional! He answered all my questions & addressed all my needs. His dental assistant was also very friendly and easy to talk to. Explaining what she was doing as she took my x-ray's. She was very good. @ her job & putting me at ease…. Because… let's face it nobody likes going to the dentist!!!😊 I will go back to this dentist when the time comes. ,fred

I got deep cleaning service done today and the staff did an excellent job. I didn’t have insurance but they quoted me a good price. Thank you 24/7 dental cares. It show that you care about your patients. I also want to say their customer service is excellent.

My regular dentist was booked out when I had an emergency dental issue. I've never had to go to a 24/7 dentistry place before and was worried about wait time, sanitary conditions and price. But I'm glad I went here! They were nice and professional, very efficient, and cost was less than I expected. If you are on the fence about using these guys- just do it. It was a great experience.

Salt and Light Aesthetics

called this location of 24/7 Dental to book an appointment for some extreme tooth pain I was having. they got me scheduled on the spot, for 2 days from the time I called. they asked the usual questions about my insurance and medical history, to which I provided everything they needed (ins group #, etc.) and we confirmed the date and time. fast forward to the morning of the appointment (the pain hasn’t gotten any better), and I show up 15 minutes before my appointment time. I do paperwork and provide the desk with all my info (again, we did this already). I wait for 45 minutes, they STILL have my ID and insurance card. only then, 30 minutes past my original appointment time, do they tell me that they are not in network with my insurance, there’s NOTHING they can do, and there’s nowhere they know to send me. to say I was pissed was taking it lightly. extremely unprofessional and really disappointed with the limited experience I had. rather deal with the tooth pain than have to deal with that.

I cannot recommend Southeast Family Dental enough! The office is bright, clean, and so inviting. My child was a little nervous about having her tooth extracted, but Dr. Jones and their incredible team made my child feel safe and comfortable, and took the time to explain everything to us. The front desk staff is amazing at coordinating insurance, and they follow up via text to make scheduling easy. They made going to the dentist a treat! 5 stars!

Very welcoming dentist office, from the receptionist to the dentist. I visited to get a second opinion after being told all my fillings needed to be replaced. Not only did they not charge me for the appointment, but Dr. Miller even showed me pictures of my teeth to explain what treatment she recommended. When it came time for my filling, I felt 0 pain for the first time in my life. It was the best dental experience I've ever had and I'm so happy to have found my new dentist!

I recently experienced tooth pain for the first time, and it was an entirely new level of discomfort that was extremely unbearable. The pressure was so intense that it prevented me from sleeping, drinking, eating, sitting, or standing. Thankfully, Dr. Laura Bohnert Geiger facilitated an appointment for me with someone in her office. The scheduling process was seamless, and they accommodated my schedule to ensure a prompt extraction. The staff guided me through the procedure, ensuring my comfort throughout. The entire experience, from the initial consultation to the procedure, was exceptionally smooth and hassle-free. If you're seeking dental services, I strongly recommend Southeast Family Dental.

Michelle

I’ve been a patient at this office since earlier this year and tried to maintain consistent cleanings and follow-ups. Today, I called to schedule an appointment after getting my braces removed. I simply needed a cleaning and evaluation for a tooth that was covered by a band and may need attention. The front desk experience I had today was disappointing. The person I spoke with was noticeably passive-aggressive, dismissive, and didn’t seem interested in helping me understand my options. I was willing to pay out of pocket if insurance wouldn’t cover another cleaning yet, but instead of being met with guidance, I felt talked down to and brushed off. The saddest part is I haven't even been a patient at this location for a whole year yet and this is already the 2nd time i've been met with passive aggressive tones from someone in their front office staff. Being a patient, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Dental care is personal, and the tone and attitude during communication matters. I’m sharing this in hopes that the office takes a closer look at how patients are spoken to on the phone, because the clinical care is good, but the customer service can make or break a patient’s experience. At this point, I will be seeking care with a dental office where I feel respected and supported.

I love my Broad Ripple dentists! The last few times I got the same gal as my hygienist, and she remembered where I work and that my wife and I had our first child recently, even though I’ve only seen her twice and six months apart at that! This office is great, very professional and friendly, I would strongly recommend.

This practice is absolutely amazing! Not only did I receive exceptional care, but when I was out of the country, the staff was very willing to send my records to my new dentist. It was a complicated process, and they were so happy to help. Every staff member in this practice is kind and helpful.

I’ve been coming here since I believe 2019. Customer service has dramatically gone down. When I started coming , I feel like her patient base was not as large and she really spent time with her patients, was honest about my oral health, and overall the office was friendly and patient centered. I recommended my previous boss and two other family friend families to her who are now all patients of hers. Over time, the front desk staff customer service went downhill, not as polite in communication, and the doctor seems rushed my last 2 visits. Rude about a $50 cancel fee or something. Idk. I let it go because she has always appeared to be a good doctor to me. Fast forward I went almost like 18 months ish without seening a dentist due to being a new mom, in grad school, tired, barely have time for anything. And the last couple of years you can’t get an apt for months out because their practice has grown. Fast forward, I went on FMLA and had some downtime and was like we need to get in like now. And we can’t wait for months so we all went to a new doctor within a week of each other because I couldn’t wait months out. Now all of a sudden, my husband who likes the white strips I used to get from Broad Ripple (we can order directly from the website but it’s easier to just pick up), they tell him that we are no longer patients there since we saw a different doctor (who could get us in within a week and Broad Ripple doesn’t have availability for months, even though I’ve been going there since like 2019). lol so you’re only considered a patient if the most recent cleaning was done through them. Even though my husband was just in there like 6 months ago. So Broad Ripple just writes off people as cancelled patients just because they saw another provider? So you all don’t care about the oral health of your patients, you only care about if they show extreme loyalty by them delayed care due to a schedule where patients can’t get in for awhile. I literally didn’t see my dermatologist for 3 years because I order my acne medication online until I had a mole on my back and they still consider me a patient of theirs. So I find that bizarre how they communicate and treat others. So from the downhill vibes of the front desk and poor follow up communication, rushed appointments the last couple of visits and now weird energy about us being ‘patients’, I would probably suggest a different place who prioritizes customer service, communication and patient centered care a little more.

Lee and Tiara were exceptional- friendly, helpful and courteous. The dentist was fine, however, I had been trying to get a prescription refilled for over 6 weeks. I called the front desk 4 times, with no return call. I even came to the office and was told it would be taken care of. No refill after 2 weeks. I again called the office, and was told the dentist needed to see me prior to approval.. Really – for toothpaste?? When I went to my cleaning, the dentist was apologetic and stated he knew nothing about this and immediately ordered the refill. The dentist has been very good prior to this, so apparently communication with the front desk is an issue. Please accept this as constructive criticism.

1 star is too generous. I went for a cleaning as a new patient to this office as I was referred by my sister in law who had great experiences here. It's been more than 6 months and less than a year since my last cleaning. I see they have really good reviews, so I was very hopeful to have a good experience here. But as soon as the dentist came in and started examining my teeth, she started digging in my gums to measure the gaps of my teeth, which I've never had happen before. And I've definitely never had anything that painful happen before with zero medication. I stressed to her that it was extremely painful and then she laughed at me. I tried to bear through it and she said "we don't have to do this" and I got up and left right in the middle of her examination. If her exam was that painful, I was not about to let her do any type of procedure on me. I know i don't take the best care of my teeth and gums but that was absolutely insane and then to laugh at me while I'm about to burst out in tears is absolutely unacceptable. I will tell everyone i know this place sucks. The dentist i had was not the owner, the owner was very kind and polite when I met her in passing. This is another woman who hurt me and then laughed about it. I wanted to clarify. The owner was very pleasant and she has a cute dog.

Typically a dentist office isn't something you want to leave a review about, but I really like this place the awesome people who work there. Took my 10 year old daughter there today because her normal dentist couldn't get her in for near 2 months, now she wants to switch to East Indy dental permanently. Great job guy's, if you were able to make this kid happy, let alone make her demand to be a new patient, you're really doing good work. Thank you.

Highly recommend! I had a phenomenal experience. The staff was kind and welcoming. I wasn’t able to see a dentist for a few years & they didn’t judge me whatsoever. The hygienist answered all of my questions in great detail, she was gentle, and she walked some through every process. Dr. Sarah was awesome and she even taught me a lot about my oral health and teeth anatomy. The all women staff is what drew me to this office & I am so glad I became a patient. If you’re LGBT+ and looking for somewhere affirming and welcoming for your care this is it. I’ve had a great experience here every time. They’re always so supportive of me while I’m there. I know if it’s getting to be too much and I need a moment to take a break from the noise and stimulation I can just say so and no one is ever mad. As if being so good about sensory issues wasn’t rare enough they’ve never gotten my preferred name or pronouns wrong. This is absolutely a safe place to get your teeth taken care. They’re judgement free. For the first time in my life I didn’t feel ashamed or nervous to talk about my dental health. I just had a baby and straight up told my hygienist I had been really bad about flossing since bringing him home and she just nodded said "yeah that makes sense just keep doing your best" no judgement. Just acknowledged that I had a big life change and didn’t make me feel guilty for it. I could go on and on but I hope someone else that’s been scared to make an appointment anywhere sees this and it makes them feel a little safer. They really are all wonderful people.

I always have a fantastic experience when I visit Dentistry of Indiana. My first appointment was 25 years ago and my teeth have remained cavity free since then. I recently went through the process of having my teeth straightened with Invisalign. It was simple, affordable, and the results are so much better than I could have hoped for. I cannot give a higher recommendation for the services they provide and the great care they take with their patients.

I was a new patient referred by a friend to Dentistry of IN. I met with Dr. Stacy and we did a bunch of x-rays and scans to determine the issue. I came back for an all in one cleaning and cavity fill appointment. At this appointment I met hygienist Rachel and she did a very thorough cleaning and exam. Rachel did an amazing job and did not hurt me a single time. I then went back for my cavity appointment and some adjustments needed to be made and we're taken care of right then instead of having me come back again. Highly recommend Dentistry of IN!!

I have never been happier with my smile. I’m so thankful for Dr. Audrey and the team for working so hard and giving me the best smile of my life! I’m not nervous to be happy around strangers anymore. All my life I’ve needed braces and never had the time or money. These aligners were the next best thing and while my results aren’t a perfect Hollywood style smile, they are miles better than I expected! I recently had all three of my wisdom teeth removed here, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. The procedure itself was smooth, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well I felt post-op.By day two, I had no swelling at all, which I think speaks to the skill of the dentist and the care I received.

I came here because they had good reviews and I needed a new Dentist. My previous Dentist no longer had good service consistently since their staff seemed new every time that I'd went in. The office isn't large, so it's not crowded and I got in right away. Everyone that I met there was very friendly, including the Dentist. He also did the cleaning, and he did a very good job. I was told that the current staff members have been there for years, and with that, I have a new Dentist!

The dental assistant was honestly so sweet. She made me feel comfortable right away and kept checking on me during everything. I get a little nervous at the dentist, but she made it way easier. Really appreciated her.

Today, 2/17, was my 2nd visit to Brookside. I was impressed more today than from my initial visit. From the location, to the cleanliness, the professionalism, thoroughness, and compassion of staff to Dr Chabulan's (sp) knowledge and genuine interest in my dental health, I was comfortable. A visit to the dentist is anxiety for me. I'm glad I found Brookside Dental Health!

Was terrified to get dental work done due to trauma. They listened to my concerns and talked me through step by step. Stopped when I asked for a break and more numbing. Got my wisdom teeth out whole that another dentist said needed to be surgically removed. Fixed all the cavities and made sure that I felt in control through the whole process. No pushiness to get extra work done and upfront about cost. Excellent hygienist, Dentist, and staff. Also got me in same day!

My whole experience was horrible the only nice person in there was the dental technician… before they begin anything I wanted to be sure the dentist would be able to extract my teeth and the front desk receptionist(Indian lady) made it difficult for me to ask questions concerning my teeth or even explain the process.. the dentist is very rude and didn’t make me feel comfortable at all.. the other receptionist (Hispanic lady) was explaining to me my treatment plan but when I had questions she couldn’t explain it bcuz she wasn’t trained and the dental assistant had to.. i had to call and remind them to send in my anxiety medication for my procedure the day before.. then the day of my procedure I was told I was only getting two teeth pulled, but come to find out they were pulling 3 and did not call and let me know until I got there the dentist was rude I was asking questions trying to get an understanding of everything and at some point I gently touched him to let him know I couldn’t see him while we was taking because I was laid back and had the mask on and he backed away with disgust.. I said dang my bad I just couldn’t see you and I was trying to get your attention and he said don’t touch me.. then when I was getting my gums numbed he was rushing and not listening to me I felt the first needle and it was painful.. I’ve gotten teeth removed and they were very careful to numb my mouth that I could not feel anything and treated me with dignity and respect (Newman family dentistry) however brookside didn’t.. in the midst of me trying to tell him hey that hurts and it’s not numb he was shoving the needle right back in my mouth and stuck my lip with the needle a few times. I then had to make him stop and told him to slow down and that he needed to be more careful of my needs and to not treat me like some kind of trash.. we established that when I need to talk I’ll raise my hand.. coo.. so I thought I was getting my teeth cleaned but they just did some scraping.. when he pulled my teeth he had a hard time getting them but they came out. They told me they were going to prescribe Motrin for pain and I said that is not pain medicine. The dentist refused to write me a script for pain medication after having 3 extractions. My face s swollen and the numbing stuff wore off quick and I had to go to the emergency room because the pain was very bad. I was crying tossing and turning they gave me a hydrocodone which didn’t work then they had to give me some Dilauded and sent me home with a hydrocodone script.. the Hispanic receptionist called me today and I told them I was in a lot of pain and that the dentist needs to listen to his patients and not just do what he feels.. she rudely said the dentist will not prescribe me any pain medication and I said I will find a dentist that will listen to me and treat me like a human being and that will listen and hung up.. I would not recommend this place as the staff and dentist is rude only the dental assistant was the nicest person to me and took the time to explain things with me and was patient with me… this is why people don’t go to doctors and dentist because they are treated bad and not listened to!! They also forced my signature on documents

I, unfortunately, now, don't have a good review. I don't recall the year I first started going to Sharma but my experience was pretty good. After a few visits I received the average cleanings and a few fillings to try to save a few teeth. My oral habits really weren't good so I trusted his practice. Unfortunately my fillings came out. No problem. I then had a Upper Partial made. After about a month I finally received it and it looked good. Even fit perfectly. After maybe a few years one of the teeth broke and I didn't bother to go back when I should have. Fast forward to 2024, I decided to have all my Upper teeth extracted instead of having them filled and opted for Total Set. Well…..there 7 to extract. They apparently weren't easy to extract and I began to hear and feel what seemed like "breaking/cracking" After the normal schpeel about care. Pretty painful for a few days and had to get a prescription. Follow up he notes "lumps" saying to use "Melted butter" and they will go down through healing. Got my dentures…..the lumps made for a painful fit. Not to mention, the teeth I found were too big. Couldn't hold my lips together! And I couldn't eat with then dentures in my mouth because of the pain where the lumps are so I stopped wearing them. So……I say, THIS….is one of the reasons people are afraid of going to the dentist. I have better insurance now and I will never go to a practice located in a previous house.

Simply put. 1 word. Phenomenal. I felt what confirmed to be an infected molar and gum issues. As a first time patient they scheduled me for a check up within 5 days of my call and given the urgency scheduled a second appt for extraction of the molar within a week. They also have developed a phased dental plan to address any and all issues I'm in need of over the next few months and explained every step. Expemplified professionalism. Courteous. Thorough. Kind. Understanding. But most of all the extraction procedure itself was literally painless. I was absolutely amazed. I'm 50+ and this has been the most pleasant visit to the dentist I've ever experienced. There is zero judgement on their part and if you are in need of any dental care Martin Dentistry must be your choice!!

I’ve had a great experience at Martin Dentistry for the past years I have been going there. They’ve done regular cleanings, filled cavities, and done fittings for a bruxism mouth guard. I’ve had a great experience with Trish at the front desk and the hygienist, Sara, who has done most of my cleanings. Dr Martin, Dr Garrison and the entire office staff has always been so friendly and kind. If you’re looking for a dentist, I would highly recommend this practice!

My visit to Martin dentistry went very well. I was scheduled for a tooth extraction with the aide of nitrous oxide. What to expect was explained thoroughly and the whole process was done skillfully with minimal discomfort.

This office goes above and beyond. I’ve seen all 3 dentists and they’re all wonderful! The staff is great too. Once, I called the office twice but didn’t leave a message and Trish still called me back! The entire team works together cohesively. I would highly recommend Martin & Martin for all your dental needs.

This was my first visit, but my wife had been there for her first visit previously. She told me that I would be very pleased with how well the office was run. That certainly was my experience. The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. I believe that the dentist has a thorough understanding of my future treatment needs, and I look forward to continuing to be served by this office.

I had put off finding a dentist for longer than I should have and was nervous to get started. I submitted a contact form on the Mass Ave Family Dentistry website and their office called me within a week to schedule a new patient appointment. Even though they’re downtown, they have very convenient parking. Both my technician and the dentist Dr. So were very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They explained everything I needed to know and were very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Mass Ave Family Dentistry!

Frequently asked questions about dentists in Indianapolis

What types of dental services are typically offered?

Dental practices in Indianapolis offer a wide range of services, from routine check-ups and cleanings to more complex procedures like crowns, bridges, and dentures. Many also provide cosmetic dentistry services, including teeth whitening and veneers. It’s important to check with each practice to ensure they offer the specific treatments you require.

How much do dental check-ups and cleanings cost?

The cost of a dental check-up and cleaning can vary depending on the dentist’s experience, location, and the practice’s fees. Generally, a routine cleaning can range from approximately $80 to $200, while a check-up with an examination and x-rays may cost between $100 and $300. It’s advisable to obtain a written estimate prior to scheduling any procedure.

What should I expect during my first dental appointment?

During your first appointment, the dentist will likely conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and gums, assessing your oral health. They will also perform an x-ray to identify any potential problems. Be prepared to answer questions about your medical history, including any medications you're taking and any dental concerns you have. Don't hesitate to ask questions about what you're seeing or feeling.

    Do I need dental insurance?

Dental insurance can help offset the cost of dental care, but it's not always necessary. Many employers offer dental insurance plans, and some individuals purchase coverage on their own. Consider the annual premiums, deductibles, and co-pays when evaluating whether dental insurance is right for you. Understanding your plan’s coverage is key.

What is periodontal disease, and how is it treated?

Periodontal disease, also known as gum disease, is a serious infection that affects the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. Symptoms include redness, swelling, and bleeding gums. Treatment may involve scaling and root planing, which removes plaque and tartar from below the gumline, and sometimes antibiotics or surgery. Prevention is vital, with regular cleanings and good oral hygiene.

What are the different types of fillings?

There are several types of fillings available, including composite resin, amalgam, and porcelain. Composite resin is a tooth-colored material that blends seamlessly with natural teeth, while amalgam is a silver-colored alloy that's known for its durability. Porcelain fillings are also tooth-colored and offer a good balance of aesthetics and strength. The best option will depend on the location of the tooth and your individual preferences.

How often should I get my teeth cleaned?

Most dentists recommend getting a professional cleaning twice a year, which typically includes a check-up and scaling. However, some individuals may require more frequent cleanings, particularly if they are prone to tartar buildup or have gum disease. Your dentist will advise you on the appropriate cleaning schedule based on your oral health needs.

    What is sedation dentistry?

Sedation dentistry utilizes various methods to help patients relax during dental procedures. Options include nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation, and IV sedation. These methods can be particularly beneficial for patients who experience anxiety or fear of dental treatments. Discuss your options with your dentist to determine the best approach for you.

How can I prevent tooth decay?

Preventing tooth decay involves several key steps, including maintaining good oral hygiene, which includes brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and flossing daily. A healthy diet low in sugar and acid is also crucial. Regular dental check-ups and professional cleanings help to remove plaque and tartar, further reducing the risk of decay. Fluoride treatments can strengthen tooth enamel.

What questions should I ask a new dentist?

When choosing a new dentist in Indianapolis, consider asking about their experience and qualifications, their approach to treatment, their fees and payment options, and the types of insurance they accept. Also, inquire about the office’s sterilization protocols and the dentist’s communication style. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions that you may have – it’s essential to find a dentist you trust and feel comfortable with.
