My family has been a customer of George Thomas for years. We even trusted them to make arrangements for our daughter’s funeral last year. So ordering a bouquet from them for a family member in the hospital was a no brainer for us. They have never left us disappointed!

When we went to pick up the order, we were in a hurry and trying to get to the hospital. When we arrived to the hospital room and saw the arrangement we found ourselves disappointed to find that the bouquet looked nothing like what we had ordered.

My sister contacted them today to ask for them to make it right and at first it seemed like they were going to remake the flowers correctly. This was until the manager got involved and said that no one has ever complained about their flowers before when picking them up in person (I find this incredibly hard to believe) and refused to remake them.

They offered a discount on our next arrangement and I believe that would have sufficed had they not already offered to remake the flowers until the manager said “no” and then went on to be defensive and not sympathetic.

The main reason for this post is to highlight the poor response to our complaint and not necessarily the quality of the arrangement. Mistakes happen and we understand that. Their response was to blame us, be defensive, and to say they would no longer make us a new arrangement.

Update: Per their response below, they are making a new arrangement and and delivering it later today. We are grateful for their willingness to remake the arrangement. Your response is appreciated!

Every year on my birthday, my husband secures an order from George Thomas that is to include Birds of Paradise. They continue to knock it out of the park! This is the 6th year for a fabulous extra large arrangement! I swear that I have never seen such vibrant colors as the flowers that deliver from George Thomas Florist!

Absolutely phenomenal. I sent flowers to a friend who was having surgery. They delivered them quickly but the front office forgot to give them to my friend before she left. George Thomas located a florist closer to her and worked with them on making sure she received flowers no matter what. They didn’t have to do this as the error was absolutely not caused by them in any way. The extra measures meant so much to me and my friend was thrilled to still receive flowers while she’s recovering. Thank you so much for such fantastic service!

My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about George Thomas Florist! Our center pieces, and altar pieces for our wedding were beyond expectations. Mel was so helpful, and responsive to any and all questions we had. She took my wife’s vision, and made it a reality, and the flowers were quite affordable as well! Honestly, you cannot go wrong with them.

The flowers delivered on time, very beautifully arranged and with an assortment of greenery and flowers, and have lasted a long time. Today is day 6 and they are still gorgeous.

George Thomas provided the flowers for the rehearsal dinner prior to our son’s wedding. Everything was beautiful, well done, ready on time, and appropriately priced. I just had my niece’s baby shower. I was coming from NJ and needed two floral arrangements and flowers for the centerpieces. They were so helpful and sent me pictures. They made doing an out of state baby shower so easy. Everything was beautiful! Wish I had a florist near me like them!

I will always use this florist if I need to send flowers in the Indianapolis area! I needed to send flowers to a relative in the hospital and to her mother for Mother’s Day. I ordered and they called to confirm the patient could have flowers (never thought about it!), then called me to confirm the order and explain some things, then sent me pictures of the plants. WOW!! Gorgeous!! OMG!!! Stunning!! I was looking for creative baby flowers to send to my son and his wife on the birth of their first baby, a son. It was hard to find anything on the online of what I wanted and the selections were so limited. I live in the suburb of the Chicago area. I went local and saw Gillespie Florists and this awesome arrangement. I love the “It’s a Boy!” wagon. I talked to Lynn who helped me with what I wanted to send. She allowed me to change the some flowers to have it more “Blue” in the arrangement at no additional cost. How cool was that?!! I never had this kind of experience with a florist. I ordered a bouquet for a friend’s funeral and asked that the flowers be bright and summer-like. PR English Garden delivered a stunning bouquet with beautiful yellow and white flowers. Words can not express how pleased I was with the urn spray The English Garden made for my Dad’s celebration of life. When I called, Annica truly listened to what I wanted and who my dad was. They incorporated the essence of my dad into one of the most beautiful floral pieces I have ever seen. To even top that off, my workplace had ordered a wind chime for the service. Such a gorgeous display that complemented the urn spray perfectly. The whole aesthetic was more than I could have hoped for. When all the other shops told me sorry no way they could do for me. They told me no problem. It’s a beautiful corsage. Price was unbeatable. I’m so thankful for them! My partner lives in Australia and was worried he wouldn’t be able to get me flowers for Valentine’s Day since I live here. Post Road English Garden has an extremely accessible website and he was able to get my flowers ordered on time and they look just like the photo. They arrived in 2 bags to help protect them from the cold. The inner bag also has care instructions as well as a bonus bag of tea for me to drink! I thought it was plant food at first, and then my critical thinking kicked in and I realized it was a fancy flavored tea as a cute freebie. He will definitely use this business for future flower delivery needs.

I have been using Eagledale Florist for years. By far the most amazing bouquets I have seen. Usually I give them an idea and they just run with it. ALWAYS FANTASTIC. On time deliveries and exceptional customer service. Reasonable prices. These pictures are HUGE bouquets and pictures aren’t justice.

I cannot speak highly enough about this shop. I worked with Michael directly on creating the look I envisioned for my bridal bouquets/boutonnieres and he was so patient with me. He genuinely wanted to create pieces that were meaningful to me with specific florals and pulled samples during our initial meeting. Everyone at the shop is incredibly friendly and it shows how much they enjoy what they do. They were able to work with my budget and definitely over exceeded my expectations.

The delivery driver told me that Eagledale Florist is a third-generation family-owned business. The arrangement he brought was lovely – it definitely did not look like a typical florist arrangement. It was more natural, and very full of interesting and more common flowers. I’m going to remember to use this company next time I send flowers!

I know Valentine’s day its expensive but $10 dollars for each rose i was hoping for a better rose, they display different roses then what you get.

I love Eagledale Florist! I recently ordered a Peace Lily for a funeral. The Peace Lily was beautiful! It had lots of open white lily’s, pretty white bow and they took the time and polished every green leaf! Many family members thanked me and commented how beautiful it was especially where the funeral home had placed it, on a low table in front of the pulpit. I wish I had a picture. I sent flowers to the hospital. Between the time of my order and the time of delivery, she had been moved to a different room. Jessie, the delivery person, was told that she had been discharged. He didn’t just take that info and leave. He called me and I got a new room number from her daughter. He attempted to deliver again to the new room but the name on the flowers was different from the patient name so, again, Jessie did not give up and he called me again. I learned that I never knew her legal name so I called for the info and the flowers were delivered. Jessie went above and beyond!!

When my husband and I decided to get married we wanted to share the best of Indianapolis with our friends and family. Having lived on 52nd street for several years, Posh Petals was a top contender for our florist. From the hand drawn drafts of my bouquet, hair piece, and centerpieces the floral designer was able to get to the heart of our wedding aesthetic. We drew inspiration from pussy willows and aster– both of which were out of season– yet faithfully, Posh Petals carried out our vision. Christian and Meredith were easy to work with and incredibly kind. We appreciated their help with delivery and set up at not one but two locations. We will definitely work with Posh Petals again.

This place is all about making customers happy. It was my 4 year anniversary and I ordered from Kendras as I often do. They told me the hours of delivery and that was fine as my wife works till 4 and the flowers were to be delivered there. Wife calls at 1230 to tell me she’s left early. With her on mute I used another phone to call kendras and while in route the driver took my home address and still delivered the flowers with no complaints. We were extremely pleased with our service from Bokay Florist for our wedding during the total solar eclipse! Our experience with Bokay was nothing but positive, and made for easy and genuinely enjoyable planning from start to finish.

We shopped around quite a bit for florists in the Indianapolis area, but it was Bokay that stood out to us due to their excellent service, impressive knowledge, and willingness to listen and work with us on our budget. After our initial video consultation, we met with Zach in person and set up a first draft of the proposal. Zach himself was a delight to work with throughout and helped us figure out exactly what to use to create the wedding of our dreams. The deposit was very reasonable and a second meeting was scheduled to fine-tune the details closer to our date. We had a much better idea of what we wanted by the time of that second conference, and Bokay helped us easily adjust from our initial estimates to our final plans. They were even willing to make a few last-minute additions in the week leading up to our wedding.

On the day of our event Bokay showed up exactly 2 hours early as planned and delivered/setup our incredible arrangements. Seeing those astounding flowers and greenery being integrated into our venue was breathtaking and made us overjoyed with our decision to go with them as our florist! Our guests were as amazed as we were and we received many compliments on our flowers both during and after the wedding.

Bokay provided florals for our daughter’s wedding at The Sixpence. They exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make sure the flowers looked lush and beautiful.

I’ve been using their services for a few years now and have been very satisfied. The flowers delivered are not always as shown but they still use beautiful, fresh flowers of equal value. I’ve had other florists replace them with carnations or other filler flowers.
My last bouquet was absolutely gorgeous. It was for my daughter’s birthday and she loved them.

Bokay created florals that absolutely blew us away. They made our vision not only come to life but exceeded all expectations. They truly made my wedding look better than I could have imagined in my wildest dreams. There were so many guests that frequently told us that these were the best florals they had seen in a wedding. The florals were gorgeous and held up all night. (and even today, 4 days later as they look beautiful on my kitchen counter for display) Personally, I preferred a wildflower vibe with mixed florals, cacti, and greenery with heavy candles. They managed to create this in the most incredible way from my wedding backdrop, to the entry way, to my gorgeous dining table center pieces, to even tiny details all around each event room. Specifically, I had the privilege of working with Zack a majority of the time and he was fantastic. He looked at my pinterest boards, heard my vision during our meeting, and knew exactly what I wanted. There were multiple adjustments I made with things last minute due to seating/tables and they were extremely attentive and accommodating. I cannot recommend Bokay enough for their hard work and spectacular florals. I am so grateful for Bokay and all they did to create my perfect wedding.

We loved working with the Flower Boys team at the workshop before the wedding. Such a well organized experience from start to finish. Highly recommend Flower Boys!

We used the Flower Boys as our florist for our wedding this July and I am so so happy we went with them. From the first time I reached out they were so kind and helpful, and helped bring all of my visions to life! They also were so helpful in making sure we were able to stay in budget. We did the workshop option so I got to go there with my husband, my mom, and a few of my friends/bridesmaids the morning before the wedding and make all of the bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages ourselves. It was such a fun activity to do altogether before the wedding- it helped relieve some of the stress around the wedding and we got to learn how to make bouquets which is a very useful tool! Not to mention how beautifully all of the flowers turned out- I couldn’t be more happy with how everything went. I highly recommend the Flower Boys for your next event!

Flower Boys is INCREDIBLE!! Our florals were absolutely stunning and even better than I was expecting. We received so many compliments during the day about how beautiful our flowers were. We paid for designer florals and delivery, but they have so many options to help lower the cost of flowers such as a build-your-own workshop which allows you to create your own arrangements with friends and family as a more budget-friendly alternative! They are so much fun to work with and absolutely amazing at what they do. Cannot recommend them enough!!!
