My husband and I asked Bretta Thompson to marry us for our August 2025 wedding at the Biltwell Event Center and we couldn't have had a better experience! Bretta is warm, approachable, professional, discreet, and provided a calming presence to our day. She helped us to customize our wedding script/vows and was so responsive to any questions or concerns we had. She is incredibly experienced as an officiant and knew exactly what we needed for our ceremony to go smoothly. Bretta is so insightful and helped make the best suggestions for our ceremony to be amazing. We couldn't have had a better person marry us and would recommend her to anyone needing an officiant or planning a wedding (she does help plan & coordinate weddings as well)! We choose the elopement package. Bretta recommended the statehouse in downtown Indianapolis. It had beautiful architecture and a gorgeous stained glass dome!! My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased with the overall experience of our wedding: The cost, planning, officiant (Bretta Thompson), ambiance. The food was great and simple. The bar was full service with very good adult beverages. The venue is beautiful. I highly recommend this venue and our officiant, if you are thinking about marriage. I know weddings can be very costly, but they don't have to be. The non-pressuring staff will work with you within your budget. The photographer was excellent as well. All of our guest loved the practical experience, as we were mindful of their busy schedules and distances they had to drive to come and celebrate our wedding.

I hired Plum & Poppy for wedding coordination. Everyone on the team was amazing to work with. I received so many compliments from family, friends, and guests about their hard work. Sarah was very quick to respond to my questions and had great advice. Sarah became the main point of contact a couple months out for all of my vendors too. She took care of any scheduling issues or questions which was so helpful. I worked with Erin on the day of my wedding and she was the best. They did not give my dad a bow tie with his tux and she ensured she found one that matched. Erin did a great job checking in on us throughout the day too. She and the other two girls helped bustle my dress which was very sweet of them. I was stress free when working with Plum & Poppy and knew I was in good hands! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and everything I have ever dreamed of. I highly recommend Plum & Poppy!!

From the weeks beforehand to the last item being cleaned up, Sarah and her team took amazing care of us and all of our friends and family. The wedding and reception took place on my property with all the nuances of an experienced venue and all the challenges of home. Sarah and her team executed this event seamlessly even though it was riddled with unexpected features and creative extras. Their willingness and ability to embrace all of the unusual features (petting zoo, knife piñata, a calliope, a lantern parade, DIY floral) is a tribute to Plum and Poppy’s creative spirit and making sure the clients vision is realized. I highly recommend their services. They are professional, smart, experienced and they roll up their sleeves to make sure every thing is done and done well. We could not be more pleased.

After booking our venue, we booked Emily as our full service wedding planner. We worked with her for one year to make our wedding vision a reality. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE. She made the entire process seamless and stress free. We met with her once a month for 1 hour which allowed us to stretch out the decisions without getting overwhelmed. Also, she is extremely knowledgeable and well connected in the Indy area so choosing vendors was a breeze. Even for the times that I had bride freakouts, Emily was always available to ease my worries. Fast forwarding to the day of the wedding, all of our guests were so impressed by how smooth our wedding was and that everything was well communicated and on time! It was absolutely a pleasure to work with her and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.

There are not enough characters allowed, or time in the day to share how appreciative that our world collided with Emily during our wedding planning process. We are so grateful to have had Emily in our corner. She was the best investment we made in our event planning process. Our only regret is not hiring her sooner. Our wedding was planned from Minnesota for a destination event in Indianapolis, IN. She was our advocate and boots on the ground as we planned from afar. She always made time for any questions we had along the way, she was constantly adding the razzle to our dazzle and the details on our "day of" were exactly what we hoped they would be for our guests. It was so important to have someone who could make our day go as planned, and she went above and beyond. We had unforeseen issues come up 48 hours before our day, and Emily went above and beyond to make sure that we had multiple options in our hands so we could move forward with the most educated information, beautiful considerations, and was able to rally our vendors around the possibilities to make the necessary moves as painless as possible. I really don’t know where to start because the extreme that Emily Ventura Designs did to make my wedding a perfect, flawless event is so so vast! The moment I first spoke to Emily and her assistant Alyssa, I knew I was in excellent hands. I happened to pick a venue and wedding date when Emily had another wedding she had agreed end to prior, but at no point did I feel I got less attention or focus. The expectations were clear, fair, and there were no surprises! Because of Emily’s prior commitment. Alyssa was who I worked with after venue selection and the first few months of getting everything g figured out. Alyssa is AMAZING and the correspondence between myself, Alyssa, Emily, and the amazing vendors recommended by their planning services, was always easy to follow and professional. I only had a vague idea of what I wanted for my wedding, but these ladies helped me figure out a good budget, the best vendors, and an amazing aesthetic. Also, this team is just….so kind! They go far and above expectations because they want to make your day special and they understand just how important the whole wedding process is. It is fun to work with them! Paige and Whitley are incredible at what they do! We hired them for my wedding on June 17 of 2023. There are so many details that I would have missed without their help. They were instrumental in designing and carrying out the perfect wedding! They also used their talent and creativity to DIY certain elements which helped save us a ton of money. They basically took my Pinterest wedding board and made it come to life. When it came to the day of, they were AMAZING. Every little hiccup that came up, they were on it immediately. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. For example, my bustle broke about 4-5 times, and they were there to fix it in an instant every time. Everything went so smoothly thanks to these girls. It allowed all of my family and friends to truly enjoy the day and not worry about the details of it all. They were extremely professional, kind, and supportive. We have them to thank for our day going perfectly!

Where to begin? I hired Paige & Whitley to handle my month of/day of coordination. I mainly worked with Paige, as Whitley handled another bride's wedding for the same day – so this is my experience with Paige. Paige is a rock star! She replies back to emails/texts quickly, is organized, and reliable. Since I got married at a private residence I was able to get some preparations done, but I didn't even sweat that Paige would be able to finish what I couldn't. She honestly did better than I would have with some of the set up! We did have some unexpected weather and Paige did a great job communicating/updating me while we waited it out. I don't think I would have been as relaxed as I was if it wasn't for Paige! I highly recommend Paige & Whitley to any bride needing that extra help – even if they don't think they do!

Choosing A Moment In Time Events was the best decision we made! There are so many steps to planning a beautiful wedding and I did not know where to begin. The most amazing all around wedding planner! She is so helpful, professional yet personal, creative, and responsive. I chose to do her full service planning package, as she would help me plan a wedding 12+ months out. Over the year+ of working with her, I loved how quick to respond she was, how helpful in solving/finding solutions to issues, and most importantly how she made the process FUN and stress free. She also made us feel like we were special and you could tell she loved what she did. On the day of the wedding, she was there every second to make sure it all went smoothly. Andrea was just the girl we needed to make our wedding day seamless. Meeting once a week a couple months before the wedding was perfect. She was always reliable which made me feel so at ease on our wedding day, know she had everything under control!! We had some weird issues come up in the planning process with our venue contact, but Andrea helped us feel very justified in our concerns and advised us so well as to how to handle it, what questions to ask etc! It felt like she had our backs through and through, throughout the whole process.
