This is a fantastic place to learn about American Indian (Indigenous) cultures while enjoying a unique artistic experience. We visited during the Jingle Rails exhibit, an elaborate holiday display featuring model trains traveling through beautifully crafted scenes of iconic locations like Indianapolis, Las Vegas, and national parks—all decked out with Christmas trees. There’s even a fun scavenger hunt where kids can earn a candy cane!
The basement has a hands-on play area where kids can let their imaginations run wild, pretending to run a restaurant, ride in an old-fashioned coach, or attend a schoolroom. With so much to see and do, plus a cozy café on-site, it’s a perfect family-friendly destination, especially during the holiday season!

Went for the Indian Market and had never been to the museum before. Was wonderfully surprised not only to see how many native vendors were there, but the collection of art the museum has curated was wonderful. The kids play rooms downstairs we're fun too

What a wonderful visit! A beautiful garden connected to the Riverwalk, and wonderful exhibits. We only had time to complete a couple galleries, and will be back! (Also, they have an Art-o-Mat!)

Very elegant building and grounds. I visited for the Indian Market & Festival and enjoyed everything iffered. The food was good, and the art, jewelry, clothing, and storytelling were outstanding!! Parking was super easy, and being inside the garage out of the heat was a definite plus. There was so much information and interesting things to see, I will definitely be back for more. I purchased my tickets online, which was very easy and streamlined, and received event reminders leading up to the event, which was also very helpful.

We visited the museum for the free Dia de los Muertos event and the place was a perfect setting along the canal for the festivities. The kids enjoyed the kid area downstairs and the ofrendas were very neat to see.
