My autistic daughter has an IEP and attends school on a half-day schedule. Today, the transportation department completely failed to pick her up. The tracking system never updated me to show any delays or that a new bus was assigned until an hour after her scheduled pickup time. It feels like they simply forgot about her and her education. This is unacceptable, especially when we’re told no child is to be left behind — yet mine clearly was today, with no communication or explanation. When I called transportation, the customer service representative showed no empathy and simply said a complaint would be filed. That’s not enough. I pay my tax dollars expecting reliable, inclusive, and accountable services — especially for children with special needs who rely on these supports. I expect a prompt explanation and assurance that this will not happen again

Transportation is full of it . They have given a rule that kids can’t be at the bus stop in a vehicle . I contacted them and was told they need to be out and at the stop waiting for the bus. My child bus comes before 6 am which is black dark to say she has to stand out side on the corner until the bus arrives is ridiculous. This is why there are so many negative comments about IPS it’s always something ! They rather our kids be in fear or risk of trafficking than to have a ln adult to make sure they arrive safe! Do you guys want the kids to be protected at home or not ??

This bus drive stop traffic on 16th street by stationing it bus in the middle of 2 lanes & then proceeds to give a ride to an adult. Then takes all three lanes (turning lane) to make a left hand turn

I graduated in 2023, from IPS Crispus Attucks High School. They made us students attend school under 20° when it is said to cancel. As well, after snow storms. Which I believe is horrible. IPS do not care about the students safety whatsoever. They most likely want us to attend so they could get paid. The seniors at Crispus Attucks High School even had to pay for their own SENIOR BREAKFAST. Adults had informed me that theirs were free, and students who attended other high schools as well. IPS are suppose to help students in need, not all IPS students do not have enough funds for pleasantries. That's why us students go to public schools in the first place. Instead of exploiting students for money, focus on what's better for the students; and you guys wonder why the district is thinking about closing IPS. This is the reason, do your jobs right the next chance you all get.

It's cold outside and you got bus drivers that want to sit down the street and chit chat with parents for 10 mins while kids sit at the next bus stop freezing. I've had nothing but issue after issues with the bus system for ips. I have 2 kids ride the ips busses my daughters stop is a 5-6 min walk and they refuse to move her stop closer even tho both my son and daughters bus stop at the stop sign right in front of my house. So my daughter has to walk that walk then wait 10 mins give or take for her bus to pick up this is unreal.

You guys really need to get your transportation together!!!! My child’s pick up time is 830. The bus didn’t come till 919. I called in only to get someone saying they can’t contact transportation directly nor can they radio the bus driver or locate the bus on the map. When the driver came she said she can only go by what the schedule says that’s printed off from downtown then wouldn’t give me the exact pickup time. This is my second year dealing with this, either we get a very late bus or no bus at all. If there was a 0 star rating you guys would have received it.

Worst bus transportation system ever. They pick up and drop off whenever they feel like it. It has been an hour and a half late to pick up and drop off. You'll never receive an alert of such madness. My son was a kindergartener and the stop is 2 blocks away. They wouldn't make it closer to home. My son has been left on the bus twice and forgotten about. They drop very small children off without parents at the stop (because they come and go as they please). You can call and complain, but nothing happens. You can call the supervisor. They'll never answer, nor return a phone call. It's the worst bus transportation period!
