This school is a scam, my husband is in the program and it has been the worst experience ever. No one will really help him and they won’t even let him unenroll. Wasn’t our money

The staff and instructors are great. They answer questions you might have and are always willing to explain something you don’t understand. I have almost no complaint in this area. My biggest complaint though is the internet. It’s recently been throttled to the point that you can’t do anything outside of the curriculum. I used a YouTube channel to learn from and now I can’t even do that. It’s not fair to restrict students, who pay large sums of money mind you, to not using the internet for their learning needs, especially when there’s a lot of good material outside the curriculum. It’s pretty annoying a school that teaches IT has a throttled network speed of 680 KBps down and 110KBps up. I get that bandwidth usage can be an issue, but this is ridiculous.

Attending MyCC has been an overall good experience. The Instructors have all been very knowledgeable and able to get the information across clearly. The transition from the campus to online classes were seamless, the career services department helps with resume building, interview prep. and appear to really try to place you in a job that you are suited for. I would recommend MyCC to anyone who is looking to get a job started in the IT field or looking to advance your current position IT

Having been both a student and an employee I can say that MyCC exceeded all of my expectations. As a student I found the course material was both easy to follow and understand. My Instructors all did amazing jobs at delivering the content of the courses and were both extremely helpful and caring about each and every student. As an employee upper management leaves something to be desired but on a Campus level I couldnt have asked for a better group of coworkers. Highly professional and loving towards each other as well as students and prospective students. 10/10 would attend more classes and seek future employment with them again

Overall its a great place to get access to knowledge you’ll need in the IT department. I was able to find an IT job just after I got my A+. Their resources are excellent. I was blessed to have a great instructors. Corey was amazing I was very sad to see him go. He had this amazing way about explaining things so I could understand them and know how to apply them in real life. AWESOME INSTRUCTOR. I then transitioned to David. Also a great instructor. Very knowledgeable in a lot of things. VERY CHARISMATIC! And good about communication as well. I could always get a hold of him and he answered my emails quickly. Good guy. This is a great place where you can find all the resources you need to study for the certifications. All in all a good school for the price and courses offered. I have enjoyed the school.

MyComputerCareer, how can I summarize it in so few words? It’s a heck of a grind and there’s a lot expected of you! The best part is, the majority of it is at your own pace. Which at first seems amazing….until you’re into week 3 of your first course and realize you’ve procrastinated on your work, you’re now 7 assignments behind. Welcome to the show! That hard truth out of the way, the facility is chock full of people who are willing to put the time in to help. That’s not to say they’ll drag you kicking and screaming to the finish line, but there is a lot of good resources in house. I highly suggest you take advantage of it. Come in with your shoes laced up and your head on straight or you’re gonna spend a looooot of time in the flex area. TRUST me (a complete stranger on the internet) when I tell you, make a plan and stick to it. To my fellow VA students, It’s a bit of a slog and the 465 loop is going to become your 3rd home. Find some audio books and load them up!

All of the staff is wonderful and I am glad I enrolled and completed this program.

I am 100% satisfied with my education at this school. It is a lot of hard work but if you do the work and put in the effort it will pay off in the end. They give you every opportunity to succeed. They will celebrate your success and encourage you to keep trying when you fail. staff is amazing from the front desk to the teachers and tutoring assistants. Thank you for all your help and encouragement 🙂

The campus in Lawrence contains the “Richard M. Fairbanks Center for Health Professionals”; used mainly for nursing students and the like.

I’m only rating the building here, which is huge and nice, but not as cozy or nice as the Ivy Tech facilities near Fall Creek downtown. This is also the “end of the line” for the IndyGo #92 Purple Line bus.

Worse experience ever. I never finished the program i was in due to personal life issues. I was given terrible information about student loans and scholarships. Now im battling with them now. Getting job experience and apprenticeships that pay well is the way to go. Not this scam like place

Nice campus. Security guy answered all our questions and even let us borrow a highlighter.

The testing center in room 147 is so unnecessarily complicated. The employees talk so loud that you can hear them through the glass, which is a major distraction. The wait time is horrible. The employees are not friendly at all. I will not return.

I have been to the bookstore in downtown Indy once and I prefer to place my online order for books at this campus 100%. I live in Noblesville..So it is much more convenient and I recommend ordering online.Of course If you know your course number for each class you will need a book for or in my case I send the teacher a quick email prior to placing my order to male sure i have the right book. Staff is friendly somewhat…and tries to be helpful. It gets busy with the nursing students picking up scrubs and other medical supplies.The manager was not very nice to them. I have yet had problem with any of my orders (4 to be exact) since my 2 semesters at ivy tech. I also returned a book I no longer needed for one of classes and they helped me In less than 5 minutes. Just make sure you have your student id# (C***) along with your ID to pick up orders or return. Hope this helps!

Not having direct email addresses or phone numbers available to individual offices in the event of catching a mistake can be frustrating and make resolving an issue take longer. This is why I give them four stars. After discovering an issue with my enrollment/billing status it took a three days to make contact with the office responsible. The issue was resolved, but after hours of stressing. Over all though, the professors and staff have been helpful and fair and friendly.

Cool campus lots of technology to learn with. But it’s horribly cold everyday bring winter coat and hoody 2 pair socks . NO FOOD cafe is never NEVER open in the am and if it opens its after 12 pm IF
VENDING MACHINES are barely full ….. Way to cold to focus sometimes

I earned 2 degrees in 2 years. As President of the Human Services Club and Phi Theta Kappa Public Relations Officer, I enjoyed my experience at Ivy Tech.

Nice place to go and get into higher education for cheap or no cost. Staff is a mixed bag but the nice and helpful people stand out. There’s not much social life but I think it depends on the person. Teachers are nice but it depends who you get. Also a diverse place and they try make everyone feel included. Only complaint is that they decided do construction when I went and they temporary closed a building. I enjoyed going and would recommend.

Good luck getting someone to actually answer a phone ot to reapond to a voice mail or email. I was accepted and by the time I could get anyone to respond, after multiple calls and emails to various people, the person told me that I would have to re-apply since it had been so long. It’s not my fault you guys took over 2 years to reply to me

I’m so grateful for Kate and my advisor, Bre, for all the help they’ve given me during the hectic process of getting enrolled in my classes. Kate truly went out of her way to make sure I got the help I needed — she recognized my struggles and frustration and stepped in with kindness and care. Bre, my advisor, worked with me so patiently, making sure I felt heard and understood instead of ignored. Their support turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one where I felt valued and respected.

The financial advisor, a black women. She was very rude and very vague to me. I thought they had to be helpful and kind? Why was she so rude to me. Did not let me finish asking my questions. Gaved me an actitud and said IDK and left. Why does this community college all about helping people have this inconsiderate rude women working here? Financial aid advisor means aid for the help not being rude to people who want to do better for themselves. Fire her or have a conversation again to your financial staff. I will be going back and hope for an actitud change if not I will get her name and edit this comment.

It’s a waste of time to spend time and money enrolling in their nursing course just go somewhere else. Ivy tech ask for too much and I feel just from doing my pre reqs there they are unprepared, the instructors were not very knowledgeable in what they were teaching, and they didn’t utilize lab materials to there full advantage.

Best College to go. Team is amazing, professors are incredibly knowledgeable. You will find your home there!

I learned to Crochet at evening classes there many years ago. The classes were interesting, the teacher was very knowledgeable, and the students were friendly and excited to learn a new skill. It has been a pastime that’s given me a great hobby that’s led to some beautiful hand-made items. I am sorry that a lot of adult education classes are no longer being offered.

The teachers and other staff are great! All of them are very helpful & sincere.

I went to the parking lot there to get cov-19 testing kit. The waiting line was long.

Our tour guide, Amy, was great. She showed us every department, not just the one we were interested in. Very cool school. I think my son will really enjoy it there.

Jose Romos was my rep so I be able to get in Lincoln tech, even tho he from a whole different state he makes you his #1 priority. He truly amazing to work with, his nice and chill, funny personality. He really passionate on his students and always wants to know what going on and be involved. Jose has really helped me and my mom he been really patient, always with a great attitude, Jose really want to see you do great!

It was a great experience to be able to set up a table for the Spring Career Fair here. I was a recruiter with UPS & we had a wonderful time talking with their students! All students were professional, polite, & knew what they wanted out of their career. It was set up & run wonderfully. Restrooms and parking were very easy to find. Lunch was provided for employers and it was delicious, I was happy they had meat & veggie options. Our one suggested improvement would be to have more trash cans available. Great experience and we can’t wait to come back for events here.

I DO NOT recommend Lincoln Tech’s Medical Assisting Program. The current MA Instructor DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SHE IS DOING, NOR does this lady know the basic fundamentals of Medical Assisting. I can NOT believe that this type of Trade Program would hire an Instructor that could careless if her students received the proper training. $23,000.00 to successfully complete their MA is a WASTE of filing for students loans and all the above. Instead of instructing the MA students this lady is continuously chit chatting or texting on her cell phone during instruction times. My child is currently attending Lincoln Tech’s MA program. Has come home just visibly upset every other day about the fact that, the entire class has complained to their Deans Office to no avail regarding this MA Instructor.
PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING & ATTENDING LINCOLN TECH’s MA Program. It’s a waste of time applying for Financial Aid, when the school (Lincoln Tech Student’s Office) could careless if you’re getring the proper training to work in a Medical Office or a Hospital setting. From what I have come to learn, during the short time my child has been in the MA Program that most of Lincoln Tech’s Externship Sites have STOPPED working with this Medical Assistant Program due in part to their Student’s lack of knowledge of the Basic Fundamentals of Medical Assisting. This is so sad & unfortunate that Lincoln Tech would rather hire an MA Instructor that does NOT know what this woman is doing.
BEWARE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY OR GETTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE GOVERNMENT TO ATTEND A PROGRAM THAT YOU WILL NOT GET ANYTHING OUT OF OTHER THAN AN EXTRA BILL TO PAY BACK IN STUDENT LOANS.

Let’s start with the 5 stars. The 5 star review goes to Lauren Riley from the career services department. She is outstanding. Any future or current students regardless of your field, make sure you contact them.

The 3 stars go to the welding facilities. They will tell you they have 20 booths that are fully equipt to weld SMAW, GTAW, GMAW but they are not. There were only 7 foot pedals in December 2020. Allegedly they are in the process of expanding the welding facilities (I have since graduated) but when the original 20 booths weren’t outfitted with all of the necessary equipment to weld in all 3 methods, having more space and not enough equipment doesn’t really make sense. Instructors are good though.

Best place for IT Training for CompTIA, Microsoft Office and Quickbooks Training. Zero cost to motivated students via scholarships and hands on computer and esports training facility.

While occasionally a bit disorganized, this is honestly one of the friendliest and most welcoming adult education environments I know of. The teachers and other staff are incredibly supportive and understanding. The fact that they are willing to work it so that many students like myself can attend for free to improve their careers and their lives is such an inspiration and ray of light in these struggling times. I highly recommend for anyone looking to gain experience or training in CompTA, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Office.

Wonderful environment, helpful staff. I had just lost my job of a lifetime, my forever job that i planned to retire from. I was in a pretty hopeless place, worried about my kids and my future. Out of the blue, i stumbled upon this program. At first, i worried it was too good to be true, no fafsa, no student debt, and a chrome book loaner to complete your classes. Words cannot express how much it meant to me for someone to support me getting an education, sometimes it takes just one person to belive in another to change a life. The transition to being a student again was a lot easier, the program is easy to acclimate to, and the staff is always a click, call, or message away. The world needs places like Hope training academy, for those that have to fight a little harder just living day to day, and only needed one person to give them a chance to break the cycle.

Please update with the new address. They are no longer located at Lafayette Square Mall. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to get my certifications from. Family oriented and welcoming. Rick and the staff put a lot into making sure each student is successful in whatever course they choose.

So far, it hasn’t been crowded, and the computers work well, and it’s nicely temperature controlled.

This place can’t even get my address right to send my chrome book too me ! Don’t recommend this school!

I agree with Noah Kade’s opinion. I had the same experience a year ago. It’s basically a self taught course that they provide the tools for you to learn from and on. Very tough course. I don’t recommend taking this course unless you are needing a refresher course or to enhance what you already know!!

I wrote a post about new beginning’s 2 months ago, the first week I started. In the beginning it seemed legit and a good course. After going through the entire course I feel cheated. They charge the government almost $4,000 for your enrollment and all you get is a book that cost them $20 and they pay for one Udemy subscription that all the students log onto to watch courses. You literally watch videos for two hours in class then you study practice questions that’s based on the A+ exam for the last two hours. There’s no teaching, no teachers and really no help. Everytime I would ask the “instructor” a question they would say I don’t know and look it up on Google. They have a great scam going on ripping off the government grants for people. That’s my honest opinion.

I started here on time. The classes r very well taught. This school gives u the tools to move onto a great career. You have to participate. I love New Beginnings.. the staff is incredible n very helpful. I just passed my IC3 working on my CompTia A+.
Here everyone students n staff work together. If u have a question or a situation. So far this school has gone above n beyond.. If it is computer training u r looking for.
New Beginnings is very much a good choice.
