My companion and I walked in and were immediately greeted by the staff. They asked us if we wanted to dine inside the restaurant or outside on the deck, and we chose the deck. The views were immaculate! There was a light breeze and a handful of bees buzzing around, but other than that, we had an amazing time. There were boats docked at the marina and a few sailboats gliding around. The music was playing softly in the background as there was a wedding reception on the lower deck. I ordered a burger, and my friend got the Boatyard Burger with chips. Their sunset punch drink was pretty good as well. The service was top tier, and the food was chefs kiss. Their decorations were Halloween themed and cute. I would love to go back for dinner during the Christmas time. 10/10 would highly recommend.

I had the pleasure to attend a musical at Rick’s Cafe Boatyard this past thursday and I must say that I really enjoyed myself. Everything was decorated so beautifully. I really enjoyed the way the lights were all set up, it was very nice. The music really put me in the holiday mood, The singing was so angelic, very beautifully done. I love how they added the Diana Ross flair. And I was especially proud of Miss Jackie Cooper, she looked very beautiful and her performance was memorable which is a good thing since I wasn’t able to record the actual musical because of my battery. Each of the women were gorgeous and full of smiles and that made a very hectic holiday seem bareable.
My sister and I actually went for our nephews big 40!! It turned out awesome. I believe the food was actually catered from elsewhere and was also very good. As usual the atmosphere was beautiful and the staff was helpful, available and very nice! There was also a 360 stand provided but I didn’t get the name of the company that provided it so I will just humiliate myself by sharing the video my sister insisted we make…I’ve been to Rick’s a few times and it’s a pleasure every time, I love the scenic view over the water.
Carla Briggs

This restaurant provided a very enjoyable dining experience. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The water front location had excellent views of the sunset. The prices were also very reasonable. I would dine here again and would recommend Rick’s to family and friends!
Cameron

Atmosphere came with a price on this location. It was a beautiful blessing to find this treasure right in Indianapolis area. You really felt like you were on vacation. Wonderful views, we requested outside and it was absolutely beautiful to sit and enjoy the sunset.
The food… I really can’t speak much to this as I was not able to eat what I ordered. Specified no spicy whatsoever and I was served a dish that had so much hot pepper on it of some sort that I lost my taste for the remainder of the time. Another with us ordered the burger medium done and it was served well done. Though one of our meals was comped… Nothing was offered at the time when we had it available before we had to take it two hour drive home. Therefore, I left hungry.
Disappointed to say the least as I had the beautiful blessing of meeting up with my wonderful friend from Colorado. Which I’ll mention his salmon was also overcooked.
I’m not at all trying to complain I would love to bring the awareness up that when you have a location like this it is highly recommended to have a quality chef in the kitchen or checks and balances in place to help sustain the crowd that it’s going to attract.
In the events I am ever in the area and decide to go back it will only to be appetizers and maybe an easy drink to ask to be made.
RLH Creatives

Amanda is an amazing server! Knowledgeable about the menu, both food and drink. She was so welcoming and friendly. Liv, a manager, went above and beyond. I spilled Marinara on a linen shirt and she went out of her way to bring me a Tide Stick. Between the two, I can’t imagine better service. The two ladies made a great lunch surpass all expectations!
The food was fantastic. The Oyster were plump, and just enough brine flavor. Amanda brought us extra horseradish on request.
I had a crab cake sandwich on a lettuce bed. WONDERFUL! The grilled asparagus was top notch.
I cannot wait to come back!

The ribs are good. I’ve had a lot. The steak is a bit well done. The fish I had was fantastic.
The servers are paying good attention and cleaning your table every time I go to get more food.

If you want eat good food, siting in cozy booth while listening to the ambient music…good advice…choose this place. Shrimps prepared in 7 different styles, crab legs, crayfish, ribs, ham, spaghetti, seafood noodles. Veggies and greens have huge representation.
Strong recommendation!

OMG!!! This place has to be the best all you can eat seafood buffet. The amount of food you can choose from is endless. They will even cook you raman soup! They got sushi, chicken, shrimp, crabs, beef, stake, fruits, salad, soup and desserts. The food was awesome. The service was great, didn’t have any problem with the server, she was always there when you need something. The atmosphere is great even when there’s a lot of people in the restaurant, the place was never to loud. Honestly, this is the best all you can eat buffet I have ever been to. It is worth the 1 hour drive for me and will be going back definitely.

This place is amazing!!! The food was absolutely delicious . Service was beyond excellent! And it was so clean, the buffet was clean and taken care of! Very great, will be there again!

We went for lunch and the selection was great! My kid was happy because they had some more classic American buffet options. Quality was about what I expect from a buffet, not great but not terrible either. I did find the price a bit high but overall we enjoyed it and will return.

The food is simply divine, especially the steaks, which are cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Each dish, paired with delicious sides, creates a memorable meal that leaves you wanting more. The dessert selection is equally impressive, rounding off a truly fantastic dining experience at Ruth’s Chris.

Okay this is definitely my first visit but Ruth really surpassed my expectations! Customer service, ambience, food were outstanding! First things first one step in and you feel you are transported to a very royal, classy place. Then the service was so quick and easy! The food was a fixed menu but my salmon and even the mashed potatoes were to die for. The icing on the cake was the dessert which was swoon worthy chocolate mousse and delicious rich cheesecake. We just enjoyed our meal so much that I was in a food coma for hours later! Our end of year party was stellar thanks to Ruth! I highly recommend Ruth for team outings or anything else! Just try! Worth your dime.

This was my first time at Ruth’s Chris. My wife and I went for our 10th anniversary and the food and service here was the best we had at any restaurant on our trip.
The wedge salad was fantastic and perfectly proportioned. The crab cakes were moist and full of generous amounts of lump crap meat.
The potatoes are hearty and served in large portions (we got potatoes two ways, shoestring fries and mashed).
The ribeye steak was perfectly seasoned and temped, cooked to mid rare.
My wife’s chicken was seasoned impeccably as well, and included a cream cheese lemon butter stuffing that added another dimension of texture and flavor and would go well on anything from bread to steak.
As mentioned above the service was also top notch. Our server Kirstin was kind and professional, and everyone we interacted with was there to ensure that we had a pleasant dining experience.
Highly recommend!
Jacob Harley

Tharron was our waiter & he was wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary & all the special touches just made it more special. From rose petals to anniversary dessert- we were so touched by everything. Truly a wonderful dinner.
Sherrill White

Can never go wrong with the filet and garlic mashed potatoes. We mostly come here for the steak and cocktails. Everything else doesn’t feel quite like what you pay for. Asian noodle salad was tasty and a good portion for the price but slightly overdressed. Bread pudding is different than most but I do like this one. The sauces are delicious and the mint is a perfect touch.
Emma LeMasters

Ohh my! This was the best lamb I had so far. Juicy and rich meat flavor not just condiments. Let’s not talk about that cheesecake it was on point with perfect balance. My mouth wished the time could stop right there. I had doubts, but now it is on my list of nice restaurants in indianapolis

I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops with a price tag of &9.99 and received 2. I know prices have increased but if menu said 2, I definitely wouldn’t have ordered. My Order 2 shrimp meal is actually satisfactory, delivery temp was cold
L.R. Lucas

The food was good, our waitress was quick. I got the steak, my friend got the lobster and shrip. Neither of us had any complaints. We also split a strawberry cheesecake that was really good.
Bailey F

Did not go in. I just got curbside pick up. The food was ready on time, steaming hot and absolutely delicious as always. I have never had a bad experience at this location, and I have been going to this one for over 40 years.

Wonderful Experience! Our waitresses was Chloe and she is absolutely Lovely. The all you can eat Shrimp is Delicious as well as the Cheddar Biscuits, Stuffed Mushrooms, Lobster Mashed Potatoes and Clam Chowder Soup! Highly Recommend ♡
A'Licia Stiles

Only wished my order of crab legs were not quite so meager, there wasn’t one single decent chunk of meat to be honest, they were very thin legs. I didn’t get much crab meat from that pound. Not a big fan of the potatoes that came with either. Texture was perfect , but they taste bad. Overall food was prepared very well! My friend loved the ultimate feast! Our waitress was excellent. My criticism is valid , but I will visit again when I can afford to splurge on a special meal.

Our food was tasty, my walleye fillets didn’t smell fishy at all, they gave big portions of sides as well. A lot of fresh sea/lake products here are very interesting. The place feels clean too, definitely recommended if you feel like eating fresh seafood
Soleil

This evening I wanted to leave a review due to the fact that it was the best experience that I have had out of the 7 plus years that I have been coming to Caplingers. The experience is always a nice one every time that I visit. The food is always fresh and the Restaurant is always clean, and the staff are always friendly, but this evening it was all of that times 2. I was served by Thomas and Chris which were so Professional and Positive, and the cooks behind the scenes did their Thang also. My Perch dinner, Okra, and Hush Puppies were cooked perfectly and was the best that I have had to date. I will definitely be making it a point to come back in the evenings. My nick name for this Crew will be the Flavor Unit!
Nefertiti KMB

Greasy nasty mess! Won’t be ordering here anymore . $18 down the drain. I called to speak with someone and all he had to say was it may be their new oil and that okra holds oil. What an excuse instead of offering how he can make it right. ! Won’t be eating here again
Update: the owners sister Molly reached out and apologized about my experience, she mailed me caplinger gift card.
Robin

This place has quickly become my go to since moving here from the west coast. I’m always searching for the freshest seafood and that’s no easy task here. I usually deal with Vicente as his knowledge of the produce is unparalleled. The prices here are so affordable, you will get spoiled. Forget going out and overpaying for sub par seafood. We always make our own now. Don’t sleep on this place. One of the best kept secrets around.
Lee Simmons

I rely on Google reviews and this time they did not disappoint! Found my way for a late lunch/early dinner. Never having eaten here I liked around to see what everyone else was having and everyone seemed to have ordered something different, and all of them were chowing down! I went with my standard fish (Basa?) and shrimp dinner (even though I am not familiar with Basa). The sides looked so good I wanted one of each but got yams and greens. EVERYTHING was delicious! I might go tomorrow for sides only and the next day for a different fish. I definitely will be going back. Do yourself a huge favor- put this one on your “MUST” list! (Btw, I took over half home there was so much.)

Gurrolie Marie

Loved this place! It was welcoming. We had a boil with shrimps and mussels – perfect! Our service was outstanding. But above that all – the crew had fun impersonating mermaids and we had fun making videos. You cannot buy this.

First we came in on Saturday or Friday everything was great and staff was great. We decided come back again after great experience. The decline was actually shocking food wasn’t even that good. Staff was disorganized I had king crab legs didn’t seem like I got what I paid for.. and the manager was asked complaint didn’t even care. And we walked hear employee say manager really care. Everyone spent more time cleaning providing actual quality service. Over $200 in two days we won’t be returning.

Had a great visit at the Seasons 52 location in Indy. It is in a very nice area called Keystone. The restaurant was kept very clean. When we walked in we kindly greeted and immediately loved the warm, cozy and upscale classiness that you have come to expect when visiting a Seasons 52. Our server Louis did not disappoint. For cocktails I had the espresso martini and a dirty martini and both were delicious. My friend had a Paloma and it was good as well. For entrées, I had the roasted grilled chicken, which is one of the traditional classics here and it was delicious. They roast them fresh in house every day. My friend had the butter fish and it was divine. The light Ponzu sauce that it comes in is just magnificent. I definitely recommend this location and I will return again.
Michelle Maloy

The staff here make this place amazing, and by the way the food is great too. They have really good recipes and the servers make great recommendations. This place has an upscale feel with reasonable pricing. The restaurant is very clean and well staffed with some of the best people I have experienced in a while. There is plenty of free parking. It is easy to find using Google Maps.

I just had the best meal of my life. The flat bread and gnocchi, yum!!! Drove up from Fort Wayne just to spend time with my husband. He loves this place and wanted me to try it, so we did!

Quality of food: food was well cooked and well seasoned.
Quality of service: service was good. It was a little slow, granted I was there on a Saturday night during dinner, so it was packed.
Ambience: it’s a beautiful restaurant with bar in the middle of it.
Parking: restaurant has its own parking, but it gets packed.

Waited 30 minutes past the time for pickup time, 3 girls behind the counter recapping their Taylor Swift concert from the night before and Miss Trenchbolt the manager outside taking a break the entire time. Guy working the counter was doing his best to keep afloat, but didn’t seem to be getting much help. Also, the hash browns portion size was honestly comical – standard size spoon in the pic

Took my daughter here for dinner. There was no wait to be seated. The place was extremely clean and they have a nice little gift shop with the most adorable shirts. The food was so delicious. We had the fish and it was a large piece. It was fried to perfection. The slaw was creamy and tasty. I looked over the menu and they have a great variety to choose from, vegan friendly and children have a lot to pick from also. This would be a great place for family dinners. The staff were extremely friendly. Handicap ♿️ access was great!

Wife took me here for me and my sons bday. 1st time I have had a seafood boil and it won’t be my last. The food was well seasoned and very good. Our server was phenomenal. I believe his name was Jay. Definitely call ahead and ask for him.
Went back again tonight. This time William was our server. And once again phenomenal food and service. Ya should set the industry standard on customer service.

I ordered the fried 2 combination, I had whiting and shrimp, the food is average, it is on the expensive side two people-$77.00, I’m not saying the place is nasty, but it wasn’t something that just knocked me off my feet. I meant to mention my wife let me taste her fried oysters. That was the nastiest thing I could hardly digest. Ugh, come on, juicy. I know you all can do better than that.
Adrian Manuel

This restaurant is a solid spot for a quick seafood boil. They certainly don’t skimp on the seasoning and butter, making every bite very juicy. However, despite the restaurant not being very busy during my visit, the staff could have been more prompt with their service. A bit more attentiveness would have made the experience even better. Nevertheless, the delicious seafood and generous portions make it worth a visit.
Putt (Wonderer)

The food was fantastic unfortunately they do not allow substitutes but still great.
The atmosphere felt a bit like being at an aquarium with an odd blue overtone & the ocean decore.

Went out with the other half to celebrate one year together and we had an amazing experience. Andie was our help for the evening and she was fantastic. She knew the menu up and down including the wine. Neither one of us are wine drinkers and we didn’t know what wine would be good for non-wine drinkers. She recommended us a wine that was absolutely delicious and very mild. We wound up splitting the whole bottle. She also was very interested in our relationship and showed a genuine attempt to get to know us in the limited time we had.
The food was amazing and so very rich. I ordered a NY strip and the other half ordered a ribeye. Both of our steaks absolutely melted in our mouths. The Mac and cheese lobster was so rich I could only eat half of it. It was so good, it even tasted great as microwaved leftovers. The baked potato was fluffy with very crispy skin.
If I could write 10/5 for a review, I would. For those who read this, please take this as a cue to give Andie all the praise in the world.

My wife & I had an early Saturday reservation & the restaurant was surprisingly empty.. which was perfect since we were celebrating Sweetest Day. The setting was beautiful & without the crowd, it was quite intimate. You wouldn’t expect two pescatarians to be eating at a steak house, but they have several seafood items to choose from. Everything was delicious & my wife even told our waiter, Ryan (who was excellent I might add), to send her complements to the chef.. which is about the equivalent of a Paul Hollywood handshake. I’m already looking forward to our next visit because a few other items on the menu, caught my eye, & look like they’d be worth giving a try.

Alex was our server tonight and she was absolutely amazing – such a sweet person & super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for an amazing date night!!! Jessica was also amazing and checked on us throughout the night as well which was much appreciated. The food was phenomenal and we were here when they had live music which was so fun! We will absolutely be back – thank you for everything!!!

Alex was a phenomenal server! She tended to every need for our Flanner Buchanan dine and learn seminar. We had thirty guests and Alex managed to time the appetizer, salad, entree and dessert service to perfection! She tailored the service to our needs as we presented on our critical topic of advance funeral planning. All the while Alex glowed with joy in her seventh month carrying her first child!. Alex is a tremendous asset to the Eddie Merlot’s team. Fantastic job, Alex! We will certainly be back in the future.

Wow. All I can say is this place exceeded all expectations. My boyfriend and I stayed in downtown Indy and wasn’t too sure about this place due to how far out it was. Let me say, it was so extremely worth it.
Not only is this place the epitome of fine dining, the service was above and beyond. We made a reservation for 2 to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived on time and were sat quickly and in a nice, private booth. To our surprise, the restaurant was not at all busy. Our server, Elizabeth, was very helpful in offering suggestions and giving us time to look over the menu.
We are both foodies so we ordered calamari as our appetizer. It wasn’t out of this world but the batter was crispy and the southwestern sauce was delicious. We then shared the wedge salad and the king crab and corn chowder. This soup was 10/10 decadent. I could’ve eaten it for the rest of my life. My boyfriend had the wagyu steak while I had the Oscar filet. Both were so tender, had so much flavor, and heavily exceeded expectations. We also got the mashed potatoes as a shared side. It wasn’t the hottest but boy was the flavor there. Elizabeth did a great job at giving us time between courses and checking in just enough times to not feel overbearing.
The best part of this restaurant wasn’t even the food. The hostess sat us with a signed card from all the staff that said happy anniversary. They also took a picture of us and gave us a memory to take home. With that being said, please give this place a try. We will definitely be coming back.
