Spot Freight in Indianapolis is hands down one of the worst brokerages I’ve ever dealt with in my entire trucking career. If you’re a driver or an owner-operator, save yourself the headache and stay as far away from them as possible.
Here’s what happened:
I booked a load with them 60+ hours in advance, fully confirmed, everything set. I planned my route, burned my time, and got to the shipper 2 hours early for a 9/9/2025, 2:30 PM pickup. When I was literally 7 minutes away (3 miles out), the Spot broker calls me and says it’s just a “potential load” and that he’s taking me off it because he “can’t take risks.”
Excuse me? What kind of garbage excuse is that? After wasting 2 days of planning, hours of driving, and fuel money, they just shrug and cancel like it’s a game. To make it worse, as soon as he pulled me off the load, the broker stopped answering his phone completely,straight up ghosted me.
No TONU, no compensation, no professionalism. Just arrogance and disrespect. This isn’t logistics, this is a clown show run by fancy-talking kids in a college dorm environment who have zero understanding of what it means to run a truck, pay expenses, and actually work for a living. They don’t care about contracts, they don’t care about commitments, and they sure as hell don’t care about drivers.
Spot Freight is everything that’s wrong with this industry: flashy office, smooth sales pitch, and absolutely no integrity. They will screw you over without hesitation, waste your time, cost you money, and then hide behind the phone when it’s time to be accountable.
If you value your business, your time, and your sanity, never trust Spot Freight with anything. They are unreliable, dishonest, and completely unprofessional. This isn’t just a one-star operation, this is a scam disguised as a brokerage.

Broker vowed to end my business because he told me I can get loaded 30mims after the shipper closes and when I arrived they didn’t load me at all. The broker promised me and my dispatcher they would load me but didn’t. The next morning we start looking for work per usual and the broker calls and threatens my business and likelihood because he lied and said I would get loaded and they refused. Misrepresented load information, got delayed on both ends because of that. When asked for a simple written confirmation that wait time will be paid they simply ignored the multiple requests. Gave them a heads up that we don’t work with brokers who do not pay accessorial via email and that we will end up stop using them. The reply we got was that they did not want the headache and that we were placed on a Do Not Use list. Did us a favor there.
Mind, we were a preferred status carrier with 48 load history and 94% tracking rate that got thrown under the bus for petty cash request. I can only imagine how they’ll treat others.
My recommendation is only use them as a last resort, or not at all

Broker AA Pod is extremely unprofessional. Agreed to cover a work in fee in writing and then had his accounting team short pay the invoice on the back end. After several attempts to collect sent unprofessional emails bragging about not paying the fee.

We had a load with Spot, Inc and both the post and the rate confirmation said that the load was 12,000lbs in weight.
Upon departure from shipper driver informed us that he got loaded but the weight was 43,000lbs. When we confronted broker about this and requested reimbursement, they said that they are not responsible if the weight of the load is heavier than the one said on rate confirmation. They even put on the rate confirmation small disclaimer under the weight saying:
*This is an approximate weight. Spot Freight will not be held liable if the actual weight does
not match the weight on the rate confirmation.”
This disclaimer can not be applied when the load we are getting is over 30k heavier than the weight on RC.
We got denied reimbursement and therefore we are forced to report this to FMCSA due to failure of Spot, Inc to provide remotely accurate weight of the load.

Communication was very good. They texted a 4 hour window for delivery, then they texted to say we were the next delivery and estimated 1 hour. Next text came to say they were 20 minutes away. They were here with 3 minutes to spare.
Both men were very professional and very efficient installing our new stove.
They even placed some appliance sliders on the legs when we asked them to place them.
In short, we were VERY HAPPY with this delivery!

I ordered a Tonal in December 2024. RXO has cancelled delivery for various reasons 5 times now. I still do not have the product I paid for in December. Their customer service has been abysmal. I am routed to random people every time I call and I have to reexplain the issue all over again. The company has no remorse or concern about the 5 times I have take off work to await their failed deliveries. The few phone interactions I have had with the local staff have been rude and dismissive. There is no accountability or help from Tonal either. I am repeatedly bounced between both companies’ customer service lines, each blaming the other for the problems. Complete incompetence.

Our Water load shifted and shipper rejected the load. After calling almost every warehouse in Indianapolis I finally found Box Truxx to re-stack my load. This guys took us right away, emptied truck, re-stacked and wraped it very well and load it back in. Professional as it gets. Price was also so reasonable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Worst customer service experience ever. We went there to ship 2 forty pound boxes for work. Staff could not have been less helpful. Upshot: we left to go to Fed Ex approximately at 4:40 pm after waiting at least 15 minutes to ship our packages.
We received no help which we clearly needed. We repeatedly lost our place in line. We took our packages and went across the street to Fed Ex in frustration. We were able to arrange for shipping in under 5 minutes and the transaction went perfectly.
We work in customer service. We never would allow a customer to walk out the door. We never would allow a customer to feel confused or that their needs were not met.
I train and do mystery shops for my company.
If I could give zero stars I would.

Went to this location 2 times for printing, the first time David Bartrom, the assistant manager got what I needed done, but was overall a little dismissive and not super friendly, I chalked it up to having a bad day. I’m writing this review because the second time I went in for printing David was beyond rude and not just to me but to multiple customers. What should have been 10 minutes max, was easily over a 30 minute visit – refused to be helpful, dismissive, and when we left and I finally went back in because the return needed to happen that day, I peaked and saw the multiple emails that had been sent through with what needed to print from the first ones to the most recent. Disappointing that an assailant manager has to be begged and forced to do his job. I was also disgusted with how he spoke to other customers. There were two other employees who were overall nice and helpful to their best ability to not only me but other customers.

Literally the rudest workers I have ever met. We made a notary appointment online, even received the confirmation email this morning. Got there, and they didn’t have a notary. They proceeded to tell me I should have called, and confirmed and that they know the website lets you make appointments for when they don’t have a notary on staff. They tried to charge me extra for a bag to do a free Amazon return. I returned it at Whole Foods instead with no bag and no problem. It was already in a bag. If this store is trying to rip us off on a free Amazon return I would not trust them for anything. Fed ex is across the street and the USPS is a few blocks away next time i need to mail a package. This company is horrible and useless. I was supposed to have two packages sent to me, last Monday but only one was delivered. When I contact customer support I keep getting told to wait for updates. It has now been three days since I was supposed to receive my bag. I even shared my Airtag with them to try and get my bag located. I worked here for two years. Tried my best to be there as I had personal and family issues, but they didn’t care about that. They still count that against me. And I even got hurt on the job there and they still didn’t pay me for my disability injury even though they took days off for me to heal. The managers were nice the place of environment to work. There was a great place to work, especially in the summer time and winter time. Those were tough times because it was humid and it was cold.
It is a good place to work & great pay. They just don’t hire full-time. It’s only a part-time job that they hire so be aware of working for FedEx express,

Very very disappointed about the speed and effectiveness of FedEx’s courier service.
My letter (a piece of ID) was sent from HK on Wednesday, estimated by FedEX to arrive U.S. on Thursday night. But after 4 days of shipping, it is still stuck in Indianapolis!
FedEx’s tracking system said there was a delay as I need to provide a commerical invoice ?! This document is time-sensitive, but FedEx failed to deliver it in time even after it has cleared the US Customs!
As of Wednesday July 23 Hong Kong 9am, seven days after I gave the document to FedEx, the letter is still not delivered to the recipient – a HK staff said they missed to scan it n Indianapolis – my document cannot be found after a search!
I am shocked by FedEx for their lack of sense of urgency and the extreme messy handling of customer’s mail!
Can I trust FedEx for their service from now on ? Sigh!

Let’s be very CLEAR ☀️,
I signed up for a contract delivery route, when I arrived, they said that the pay was nothing of what I actually signed the contract for, the contract stated that I would make $750 per week commission, but whenever I arrive they said that I would barely make enough to cover my gas and they also said that it was pay per parcel and not commission based, wasted money, time and my effort… I overlooked all the reviews and thought to myself there’s no way it could be this bad, I should have listened to the reviews, terrible terrible terrible do not recommend ✨

They’re crooks, will set you up by asking you to sign an addendum that you will renew your insurance two weeks before it expires(who does that), if not they will change you $250 a week for it, even if you have coverage at all times that you worked for them.

Gave explicit instructions to driver regarding time of delivery. He did not follow instructions and the delivery was botched. Have to hire a different courier service to get the job done right on a time-sensitive matter. I would not recommend this courier service and will never use them again

I tried to establish a pick up a day early when the product was at terminal they would not let me come and get it. I had to wait another day or two for delivery. I have a business. I could’ve used a part for my machinery. They would not let me pick it up not very good customer service. I will never use him again.

The terminal on West Morris Street here in Indianapolis has the worst customer service and drivers in the whole industry. Our business has been here on West Washington Street for almost 80 years and all of a sudden they say our street is too narrow to make pickups. We schedule pickups and two hours past our close time we see no truck or get any calls letting us know they aren’t coming. Spoke with customer service today and requested a manager and she called the terminal on West Morris Street and told them they could pull up in our front parking lot off Washington Street so they wouldn’t have to pull down the side street and he said he couldn’t do that either. We get semi’s in here every day as well as the business across the street no problem, but the sorry excuse for drivers Central Transport hires can’t! I’m advising all our customers to stop using Central Transport and we will never use them again. Amazing this company stays in business!!

Seriously why would ANY company use UDS for their delivery services. Incredibly awful. I have been waiting on a package that was intended to have 2 day shipping for 3 weeks. Supposedly 2 weeks ago when they were delivering it there was no “safe” place to leave my package. That is not true. I have a massive mailbox and a covered front porch. It could have been left somewhere. Impossible to get ahold of anyone who works for this company. Wondering if it will ever actually show up…. going to contact the BBB too. This is seriously ridiculous.

UDS is the worst shipping company I’ve ever had issues with. Ordered things from a clothing store and it was shipped and delivered. However, they delivered it to the wrong address. My neighborhood is small and not a ton of houses. If the driver would have read the address on the package they could have gotten it right. This is the second time UDS has gotten my packages and I really wish stores would stop using this company to ship items.

My package arrived at UDS in Indianapolis (I live in Indianapolis) on 10/24/22. Every day for two weeks the package was marked as “out for delivery” and then later updated to “carrier delay” later that night. There is no way to contact them to figure out what’s going on. I finally had to call the company I ordered the product from and ask them to intervene. There were able to contact UDS and my package was then delivered that same day. Too bad I needed the contents 10 days prior. Extremely frustrating.

I placed an order with Vitality Medical and they used USD for the delivery service I live in an apartment complex that has a policy of all packages to be delivered to the apartment and not left in the lobby. The driver decided to argue with the apartment manager about the delivery and then decided he did not speak english. Should also note that the package was suppose to be here on Saturday and did not show up until Monday.

I’ve had a precious precious issue with getting a Walmart package from them. Walmart promises free 2 day shipping with delivery by 8pm and I received my package after a week at 7:45pm. Now they took the liberty of returning my package from old navy due to an “undeliverable” address but said order shipped in 2 separate packages and I received the one via USPS with no problem. No one made an attempt to deliver the package or contact me before a return was made and my tracking information went straight from shipped to shortage
