Ube horchata machiato was really good. The pecan sticky bun was good but very sweet, if you order it make sure to get coffee with no sugar, because the bun has all the sugar you need. I love their coffee beans, balanced with low acidity, good clean flavor. They are a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Such a great spot for delicious coffee and food!! Love the gluten free and vegan options and the fact that they make their own flavored syrups. Added bonus that they roast their own coffee beans. I will definitely be a returning customer!
Taylor Hamilton

Go for the coffee, NOT the food! The sandwiches come with thick carved cold meat, making it difficult and unpleasant to eat. Typically not the ideal cut of meat for a sandwich. Usually, you can rely on a Club sandwich, but not at this place. Java was mid at best. Two sandwiches and two 10oz lattes = $45+ a tip.
Troy Gabbard

Very cute shop, relaxed and cozy atmosphere! I got a coffee to go, a triple b caramel latte with oat milk. So delicious, I really enjoyed it. I’ll be back to try to gluten free coffee cake

This is a unique coffee shop on the first floor of the Atheneum! It is surrounded by an extensive German display of history and steins. There is plenty of seating and standing room. The atmosphere was mixed. Could have been more positive. Maybe some fun shoutouts from the staff? Our cashier was alright but the barista making the coffee barked when I asked a question. The coffee foam was pretty and the muffin was sooooo good!! I would have liked stronger coffee but I’d still probably go back for everything else. 🙂
Beccy K

Really nice cafe.
I really like that you have alot of space at this one, others are much smaller.
Also, you have a history lesson inside about how Germans shaped the city.
I ordered a decaf americano and the butter croissant. The americano was on the stronger side while the croissant was perfectly flaky but was overcooked.
Wifi is good. Sound travels though due to the higher ceilings so not good for calls.
I do like the seating arrangements though. The place is best for studying or meeting for a coffee date.
Also, the hours are limited like most coffee shops downtown… wish they had extended hours.
Leonard

This place has a great, comfortable vibe. The coffee is strong and delicious. We had a beet and goat cheese flaked pastry which was scrumptious. Location is an easy walk from church…a great place for after church snacks!
Emmy Cha

Coat Check Coffee has a lot going for it. It’s located in a beautiful historic building with a spacious interior and very tall ceilings. I received the espresso I ordered within about 10-15 seconds, so I wasn’t sure whether to be impressed or concerned . But it was delicious, so great job!
Luke Salik

Great place kinda hidden on Mass Ave! The drip coffee comes with one refill so it’s a great deal! Loved the biscuit and the jalapeño jelly paired so well with the egg and sausage. It’s a big biscuit too so it is quite filling. Spent about 4 hours here working and it was an afternoon well spent.

Girl friend is always looking for good coffee in the town and we have explored quiet a few now and obviously CFCC’s coffee was delicious. We ordered a lavender latte and I got a Cafe Mocha. The staff is super friendly. Check it out guys.

One of the best coffee places in the area! The coffee, atmosphere and service is wonderful!
Coffee: Love their season specials as well as their regular menu. If you’re here definitely go for the seasonal specials. They are made with great thought and almost always tasty!
Atmosphere: Love the vibe! During the week you’d get motivated to work as almost everyone is there working and during the weekend it’s a fun place to be.
Merch: I’ve bought a tee from here and the quality is really nice!
Akshara Tarkas

This is a large location as coffee shops go. There is plenty of seating inside and a nice patio outside. I had a muffin that was big and tasty, and a chai tea latte that was so good.
Andi Robinson

I visited Calvin Fletcher’s Coffee Company on December 28th. My cousin Alyssa lives in Fountain Square and it is one of her favorite places in the neighborhood! I can see why!! The atmosphere is all-embracing from the environment to its customers. The staff was professional and kind. I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte. It was delicious! It is the perfect place to visit with family or friends. I’ll also say that my cousin ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito and a croissant and they both looked amazing!! She said that were really good too. She loves their pastries!
Shannon Newerth-Henson

Very quiet place for studying or working. Inside is spacious and the decor easily put you at ease. Lot of plugin to charge your laptop. There are also seating outside if you like people watching.
The tangerine tea with honey was great
Parking is on the street but I easily found one nearby, even if it was a Saturday.
On the day I was there, the wifi didn’t work so that is a huge bummer for me so I didn’t stay very long

I order a cappuccino and it tasted off I open the lid there was oil like substance on top of the coffee and this is most disgusting thing I ever consumed they also messed up my fiancé order too it didn’t even have any flavoring that I asked for in his drink for a hot Carmel coffee it just straight up taste like only black coffee I diffently won’t be back
Isabel Gonzalez

This was my first time at this Starbucks. The young lady at the register was very nice and professional, and she even offered my knowledge on the benefits of using the Starbucks app. I sat down and relaxed while I drank on my delicious tea. It was very chill, comfortable and relaxed. This is a great location!
07/08/24 UPDATE: It’s been awhile since I’ve been here: they’ve remodeled the interior and added an order status monitor for the customers viewing. It seems they removed the plug-in receptacles on the walls, but it seems they’ve put a couple in on the half-wrap lounging wall couch. It’s a nicer setup overall.
Thomas Drury

Attentive staff. Quick service and good quality. Starbucks never disappoints. Came here right before work and although they were out of nitro, I was still able to get my regular Flat White. Tons of IU-Indy students so it kept the place vibrant and going. Good location close to the campus. Would continue to support here for local coffee.
Uriel Gama

This location sucks! i ordered at the counter and the girl taking my order i didn’t notice she didn’t ask for my name so when i waited about 20 minutes for my drink i finally asked about it and she said she placed it on the counter but never told me so i asked for it to please be remade since she never called for me and i was patiently waiting in their lobby. she rolled her eyes, huffed, and remade my latte with decaf espresso out of spite even though i was polite about the situation. Won’t be back and will be sharing my experience with others!
alexandria phillips

Got here before closing and the doors were already locked! The girl inside said they were closed. Yet it clearly states that they are open until 8:30pm.

My favorite cafe of all time. I really liked the old location by the river but times change.
This is everything a cafe should be. Great espresso, great milk drinks, great pastries, friendly people. The best cappuccinos I’ve ever had have come from here.
No outside seating but there are lots of windows. I’ve been here a thousand times and I will come back a thousand more.

Local coffee shops with a great atmosphere are my thing, and this one definitely fits the bill. Lots of space, great vibe, and great coffee, of course! Definitely will be back next time in Indy!
Jordan Jeffries

Been here a couple times and must say that this cafe is nice, clean, and sleek. Great ambiance for me to get my work done. They source milk locally. They have origins of coffee displayed. Order decaf. And all that.
Just wish they went more organic/ sustainable. Also wish they had pure chai and matcha natural without sugar. High strength. Other than that. Great every time!
Leonard

Definitely a great and spacious place to work and relax in the middle of downtown. Parking was a breeze early morning and I enjoyed my Americano which was absolutely the way I liked it. It was pretty quiet from 7-9 and then started filling in quite quickly.
Quills has an array of spring flavors, baked goods such as muffins and cookies and a variety of coffee beans and apparel to choose from.
The glass panes gives an open vibe and the contemporary furniture gives a very casual and comfortable feel. Quills is dog friendly so overall great place to work out of.
G Fatima

Probably my favorite cafe in Indy for a cappuccino. The inside of the store is very nice and spacious, and the baristas always know how to pull some great espresso.

Cute place. Kinda in a alleyway, but plenty of parking there & good amount of seating inside. Coffee was very good, i got a blue berry/almond muffin which was not great tbh. But I would definitely be back for the coffee.

Lovely, Small, and Earthy atmosphere. Ordered a Mocha with some Simple Syrup and a coffee cake with Expresso whipped cream. Never knew i needed to experience expresso whipped cream but WOW it was delicious. 10/10
Highly recommend for small meetups and for coffee drinkers who enjoy expresso taste over sugar.

Kaffeine not Caffeine makes all the difference!
Day 2 in Indianapolis starts out with a trip to Kaffeine Coffee in the Lockerbie Square area is a craft coffee shop, specializing in? You guest it! Craft Coffee!
This unassuming coffee mecca is an experience in all things coffee and more. Mrs.Keller cashier/barista/customer service extraordinar took us through the craft that makes Kaffeine more than another coffee shop.
My Mr. Chai ordered a Chai Latte that went FAR beyond average. Black, Red, and Green whole leaf tea is first steeped in a craft for 6 minutes(this is important to extract the depths of the leaves and spices). Then it’s strained and poured over a sugar cube to give it a touch of sweetness. Steamed whole Milk covers the concoction with a cloud of foaming bliss. Garnished with a line of cinnamon! It was truly something to behold. Plus, it tasted incredible! Spicy, with gentle, floral overtones, and spices that awaken your senses! It was absolutely beautiful.
Your Decaf Diva, risked it all and went for the Spanish Latte. I WAS NOT disappointed! Espresso(Yes the real kind) with sweetned condensed milk AND your choice of steamed milk. It was an inviting variation on the classic latte with a hint of cinnamon to round it out! Marvelous.
If your in the area, go get what they’re given. Transformation!
Check It Out!

Love the staff and the vibe. Wonderful beverages, not a lot of food selection but what they have is high quality. Not a lot of seating.

Very nice coffee shop, a little out of the way from the classics Mass Ave area but worth a detour. Parking is sparse in the area. Quiet atmosphere with good coffee and all the typical options. Probably our favorite coffee shop in the downtown area.

#4 Indianapolis Addition
This the Spot!!!
You know how I feel about Coffee and we have been impressed by what Indianapolis has to offer. But, Provider Coffee hits different!
Provider Coffee is what Starbucks tried to do a few years ago. Offering breakfast, lunch, coffee, beer and wine, in an ultra laid back setting. Exposed brick interior with high top tables and awesome music is just the beginning of this gem. A self Serve pastry case with a variety of unique pastries is the first thing to great you. Massive Almond Croissants, Pumpkin, Orange, Cream Cheese Muffin(Yes, all that in 1 muffin) among others, all for the picking.
Smiling faces that not only greet, take your order and make recommendations, but th3 staff also make it a point to be engaging with each guest. It truly makes you want to linger for awhile. Then, there’s the COFFEE!! Specialty coffees like Pistachio Rose Water are just the tip of the iceberg. Along with traditional coffee offerings, teas, housemade Kombucha, seasonal Lattes, and a featured Latte! There is no way you can walk out of there without something!
Too hot to handle, too cold to hold; had a Butterscotch Latte that was curated like a cocktail! Espresso, steamed whole Milk, with butter, piloncillo, and a flaming orange. WHO DOES THAT!!! It was so good. Didn’t get a whole lot if Butterscotch, but MAN!!! He also had a bacon breakfast Sammy with TONS of bacon, fluffy egg, cheddar cheese, and pepper jelly, on a Multigrain GLUTEN-FREE bread!!! It was a mirage of flavors that just warmed the soul.
The decaf tenderoni had their featured Latte which was Banana Demerara. When I tell you, it literally tasted like banana bread? Packed with warm spice, actual banana flavor, and a hint raw sugar. It was the best banana Latte I have ever had!
Provider is one for the books!!!
CHECK IT OUT!

If you’re looking for good lattes, this is the spot. If you don’t care who serves it to you, then check.
Service at the counter made me wonder what was going on in that bloke’s day…He came off as dismissive and pretentious. They also have an extremely limited menu – couldn’t order anything. It’s a small space and the coffee shop was packed, so I couldn’t find space to work. But the lattes really are great! Maybe take one to go?

Great place to have an event with top notch staff, food & beverages.
Women & Hi Tech (W&HT) had their annual Holiday party with a unique Holiday Photo Scavenger Hunt on December 18, 2024. The Handout for the “ice breaker” portion of the meeting included the instructions- “It’s time to mingle. Get to know members and have some fun memories of tonight’s event!”
Here’s 5 of the categories they had for the selfies for the Scavenger Hunt. Brilliant idea!
1 Works for one of Women & Hi Tech’s Sponsors
2 Has been a Member for less than 5 years
3 Has been a Member for more than 5 years
4 Attended more than than 2 W&HT events this year
5 Is a W&HT Board Member

My biggest issue is the fact their menu consists of lattes, matcha and if u wanted some version of americano. There were a select few flavoring options and less then 6 things on the food menu. The selection was underwhelming. The coffee its self was ok. Definitely nothing special in my opinion. I tried both hot and iced lattes and neither were amazing per se. I also ordered two things off the food menu and again wasn’t all that thrilled. The place its self is cozy and appealing along with the staff being truly amazing. However I believe if your lacking on the actual product your selling that’s enough not to go back.

Great coffee. I’d totally go back. I’m particularly picky about espresso. This met all expectations.

A beautiful coffee shop with a good amount of seating inside and out. Dog friendly which is always a plus! The matcha I ordered was pretty good too.
Kamryn Grimes

Was excited for this because it’s super popular and always full! My Spanish latte was average and the espresso was slightly burnt. Service was a little unfriendly/rushed. Felt like an unfriendly Starbucks
Catalina Altomonte

My cousin recommended Bovaconti Coffee to me! She lives in Fountain Square and is a frequent customer. She also told me that before it was a coffee shop, the location was Bovaconti Jewelers. Our Grandfather bought our Grandmother’s engagement ring there! Her father bought her mother’s ring there too!! It was SO special going inside! There’s a place where you can sit and visit or work that was where the jewelry used to placed to view from the street. I thought that was so cool! It is the neatest environment!! The Bovaconti Coffee Team was friendly and professional. I ordered a cafe miel, it was the best I’ve ever had! I also bought two muffins (a blueberry and mixed berry!!) DELISH! I highly recommend!! Thank you, Bovaconti Coffee!
Shannon Newerth-Henson

In my book, Bovaconti currently holds the title for best coffee in the city. On pure flavor and drink execution I think they are unbeaten. I love the aesthetic. I don’t know that it’s a place I would want to post up, but there’s a certain energy that the shop has that I really enjoy. Maybe it’s the small army of baristas they seem to employ. Wait times are always short and they have the little extras I like in a coffee shop. When I finish a cup, I’m sad, I want more, and that’s my test for a great coffee shop.

Customer Reviews
Literally the best coffee shop on our whole 2 week road trip through the Midwest. Lovely staff and really good food on top of excellent coffee drinks! Also delightfully dog-friendly. They even named a drink after our sweet pup, called The Magnificent Charlie.

The atmosphere is the highlight here. Service was amazing. There was a slight catastrophe with the toilet flooding and Tammy did a fantastic job keeping her cool and doing the best job she could. The coffee was ok, I just got a vanilla latte. It was a little uninspired but I’m satisfied for just $4.

You have to stop here if you are a coffee drinker and around the yard. You won’t be disappointed. There is something for everyone. Blonde, medium, and dark roasts, espresso, latte, ice cream, and more.

This place is so cool. Super friendly barista, great coffees, apple cinnamon muffins are delicious! Substitute oat milk for free. They also have ice creams and shakes!

Really great coffee shop, with plenty of seating and room to relax, but the best part is the quality of the in-house roasted beans and the service. I found them after purchasing my first home espresso machine, because I wanted to find a place to get freshly roasted beans. Their espresso roast/blend is perfect! I tried a handful from other places, and this is hands-down the best. And the barista is knowledgeable and helpful, plus they give a complimentary cup of brewed coffee whenever I buy a package of beans. They’ve gone out of their way to let me try different blends/roasts, and they’re all outstanding; however, I think I’ll stick with the espresso beans for espresso-making, since they’re so excellent.
