Love the campus! So much history and beauty.
So many students are willing to help for anything you need. Everyone seems so nice, even the squirrels.
Food on campus is good too.
Would recommend a walk around the campus.

Wonderful university to attend. I love Indiana University. My only regret was not going there all 4 years in college (transferred there). This is easily one of the most, if not the most, beautiful campuses out there. Staff and students are all friendly and the Big Ten culture is great! GO IU! Go HOOSIERS!

A stunning blend of history, nature, and culture!
This place is the heart of Bloomington and a must-see for visitors. With its gorgeous limestone buildings, charming walking paths, and rich arts scene, it offers something special for everyone.

Walking through the iconic Sample Gates, I felt the welcoming spirit of the campus. I loved exploring the peaceful paths, especially in the fall, when the trees burst into brilliant colors. The Eskenazi Museum of Art was a highlight, with impressive works from around the world. I also enjoyed the quiet beauty of the Rose Well House, where tradition says couples kiss for good luck.

Music lovers shouldn’t miss a performance at the Jacobs School of Music, which often hosts free concerts featuring talented students. I found the campus easy to explore on foot, with plenty of spots to stop, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

This place is more than a university, it’s a hub of art, history, and nature. Whether you’re here for a tour, a concert, or a peaceful walk, it’s a perfect way to experience the spirit of Bloomington.

Today I went to Martin University to register for classes for the Spring 2015 semester. Everyone was very disorganized and unaware of what all I needed to do to set my classes. Everything is done by paper and my file was lost because the lady said that “too many hands” had got a hold of it. When I went to financial aid the lady was very rude and trying to rush me through the process. When I asked her the amount of money that I would need to pay for school after using financial aid she responded “well you have loan money so there is no need to worry.” But that was not the question I asked. I had my 7 month old daughter with me who got a fussy, the lady asked “what is wrong with her? Does she have a pacifier?” After having been there three hours and still not registered for classes I decided that this school was not for me. I need something that is more organized and able to keep up with my file. Martin University needs to get advanced in technology area and hire individuals whom can understand basic questions.

I was visiting Indianapolis when i stumbled upon Martin University’s campus and, within sight of it, a compounding pharmacy that interested me. I went on campus looking for the administrative building. A security officer stopped me just inside the doors of the glazed sphere which happens to have been exactly the place i was seeking.
The officer politely asked my name and intent. When i answered she accompanied me, showing me the offices and classrooms most relevant to my needs. I have since been back to Martin several times. I am not an alumnus of the school, but I have always felt like one here.
In 2016 Martin helped to create an education zone surrounding the campus. The purpose of the education zone is to encourage and uplift the neighborhood. However, Martin University serves people from all over, as i found out on my first visit.

Great School to go to especially since i have been going there for two years. i tried Iupui, Indiana university, butler, and Purdue. None of those schools would let me into there university because I didn’t have enough credits when I had prior college credit. Ivy Tech had me take a assessment test just to get into the college, and I took the test but I never hear anything back after I completed my process. Furthermore, I had college credit to go to the college that was transferable but they said their course number didn’t match up. I was highly upset on top of them being a state funded college with organized people. After I didn’t get into the college I tried Martin University because of it being like an HBCU and they would help me achieve my goal of obtaining my degree. Once I completed my enrollment I felt at home, I felt like i was apart of a family, and I felt accomplish. Since my enrollment two years ago I have made the president’s list and have been doing so much better with finding better employment. Thanks Martin University Class of 2017

Disappointing Experience — Poor Organization & Unprofessional Service

I had high hopes for this school, especially given their early reputation. Unfortunately, as they’ve grown in popularity, the quality seems to have gone downhill fast. What was once a promising service has become one of the most disorganized and unprofessional experiences I’ve had.

Scheduling is a mess, communication is inconsistent at best, and there’s a serious lack of accountability. It honestly surprises me that they’re still in business given how poorly things are run.

If you care about your education and value your time, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are far better, more reliable options out there.

Only giving it a one star because zero stars is not an option. Terrible school, they care more about numbers than the well being of there students. They remove 3/4 of commuter parking and then ticket all the commuters who now have no place to park. Mental health services are non existent. Professors are of the poorest quality and only care about getting a paycheck. Photography makes students go off campus and work with a stranger in one of the worst areas around Indianapolis with shootings happening weekly in said area. Do not attend this school, especially if you are commuting.

Please do not attend this school for it’s transition to teaching graduate program. The professors did not prepare for their classes and provided low quality education to the point that I could not justify continuing with this program after paying in over $4,000.
When attempting to get them to appeal the final $800 for the semester I left the program they simply refused to give any leeway or acknowledge and error on their part and sent me collections with an additional $350 fee.
With no recourse beyond their own appeals process that unsurprisingly found no problem on their end, all I can do is complain on their review boards.

On the plus side, the do have a beautiful campus and I can not in anyway speak to the quality of their undergraduate program.

Doesn’t fund fundamental services such as tutoring adequately because they would rather spend that money on a puppet. Additionally, they mess around with your classes so it is incredibly hard to graduate on time, and credits don’t transfer to other universities.

How do I visit campuses and what should I look for during a visit?

Campus visits are valuable for assessing facilities, class sizes, and campus culture. During visits, look for library services, research labs, dining options, and student support centers. Ask about housing options, safety measures, and outreach to prospective students. Take note of admissions staff responsiveness and the availability of tour guides who can share real student experiences. If possible, attend a class or talk with current students to gain insight into daily life and academic expectations.
