Ashley Knokey

The mobile bar was a fun experience. Highly recommend for someone who’s never done a mobile bar ride before. Was a great time. The people walking down the street will yell out numbers. Whoever is sitting in the seat with that number will be called on to take a drink. The best number is «7» meaning everyone on the ride has to take a drink. Was worth the money for the experience. Emma was our driver. She was great at keeping the vibe going all night.

My wife and I visited The Hangar before the Colts game and were thoroughly impressed. At $30 a ticket, the value is excellent, especially considering the buffet was much better than your average pregame spread. What really stood out was the service. We saw multiple employees going above and beyond. A young man on the buffet line was a rockstar, constantly replenishing food, answering questions, and keeping the area spotless. The bartenders also did a fantastic job managing the crowd, keeping the line moving quickly despite being slammed. Great food, great energy, and even better service. We will definitely be back!

We recently celebrated my birthday at The Hanger and completed a Handlebar tour. The tour was fun! We reserved a table and gulf simulation are for a few hours. The staff and management was amazing. Our tour guide was great as well. I highly recommend booking and celebrating with The Hanger.

We planned our adventure to the Hangar to celebrate my daughter and her boyfriend’s 21st Birthdays! The entire experience was above all expectations! We went to ride the pedal bar (which was fantastic! So much better than we even thought it would be!) but really enjoyed just hanging in The Hangar! From the moment we arrived Erin, better known as E, was friendly and engaging and so much fun!! We got some phenomenal drinks and those scrumptious Spare Tires to take on our ride! We then pedaled our butts all over the city and stopped at a few hot spots, one I never even knew was there, 16-bit! So fun!! We went down to the bottleworks district and then finally back to the Hangar to Hang! We had more drinks and some Pizza, fried pickles and of course, more fantastic Spare Tires! Those things are so good we would drive back down today to have more for Dinner!! Carlos our bartender and E made the evening a smashing success! We played games, met new people and genuinely loved every minute of it! We cannot recommend this experience enough! Everyone in the group is looking forward to the next experience on the pedal bar and in the mean time we will definitely be back for those Spare Tires!!

My friend and I took part in a Colts pregame tailgate at The Hangar. What a great value for only $30/person. It included 2 drink tickets, unlimited buffet food including pizza, nachos, baked potatoes, and hot dogs, and a ride on the Handlebar to the stadium. There were seats (first come first served) to watch the 1:00 game action, and plenty of activities going on outside. The outside activities also included a great live band. It was quite crowded, but I appreciated the friendliness of the bartenders as they worked their butts off during the party. I would definitely do it again!

We had our work end of year/staff appreciation party at The Hangar and I can’t recommend it enough! The attention to detail was amazing, the staff; all the way from the owner to the GM to the bartenders were outstanding! Our crew had so much fun and so many compliments! We will definitely be back for another party in the future! Thank you all and keep up the outstanding work!

Definitely a nice place to take a stroll. Lots of beautiful artwork along the path. A great place to take kids as there were quite of bit of animals throughout the walk. You can easily spend a couple hours walking f you take the time to admire all the sculptures and murals.

Beautiful, peaceful walk on a late Saturday afternoon into early evening. Quiet. I like it. I also wonder if it can be developed into a little more, without becoming too crowded, dirty, busy. More patio seating restaurants? I know we went there off season so we missed the gondoliers, kayaks, etc. Still a lovely place to walk without dealing with traffic. Definitely will go again! ❤️ The reflections in the water, and the murals under the bridges were lovely. One mural had graffiti and it makes you wish everyone who does that would be more respectful, but all the rest were still lovely.

We enjoyed the beautiful walk along the canal after we visited the Colts Playscape. The canal path was nice and wide, great for a stroller and two kids who like to go at their own pace. The ducks and swans were neat to see and they were not shy around humans. Only downside was there being no bathrooms nearby.

The Indianapolis Canal Walk is a scenic and historic 3-mile promenade in downtown Indianapolis, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the city’s hustle and bustle. Originally constructed in the 1800s as part of the Indiana Central Canal project, it has been revitalized into a vibrant urban space featuring pedestrian paths, cultural landmarks, and recreational activities. The canal offers opportunities for paddle boating and gondola rides, providing unique ways to explore the area. Additionally, the nearby Colts Canal Playspace offers a playground for children, making it a family-friendly destination. The Canal Walk is open year-round and is especially enjoyable during spring and summer months when the weather is pleasant, and the surrounding flora is in full bloom. It’s easily accessible and connects with other trails like the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, offering extended exploration options.

Carolyn Rozmarynowski

My husband and I visited this park with our dog while we were staying nearby. This was our first visit and we were really impressed with the size of the park and how clean it is. Parking is conveniently located throughout the park, as are benches. Walking trails traverse the area, and provide a lot of places for our dog to sniff. We saw a lot of dogs and appreciated that all of them were on leash. We visited in the winter and are looking forward to returning sometime when the gardens are in bloom. The large Pagoda is an interesting and unique feature. The amphitheater was a surprise and I look forward to learning more about their schedule. The Arts Center was by far our favorite feature, as it’s such a great asset to the community. I love that there are so many mature trees left here. In my hometown we have a park director who is having many of our old trees ripped out and taking the natural areas away for paved areas and recreational sites. It’s lovely to see that Indianapolis Parks values nature and allowing each park to have its own personality!

One of my favorite parks! Plenty of walking trails, beautiful trees, relatively clean, and they have the farmers market throughout the summer. Coffee shops, and food always near by too.

I was massively impressed by Garfield park. More specifically though, I thought the conservatory was beautiful! And the people in there were very nice! I saw a lot in there that I was not expecting! I recommend this as a place to visit! You won’t regret it!

This is a great park for walking, jogging, etc. Plenty of trails and the grounds are pretty well-kept. The trees are just beautiful, as is the conservatory. There is also a basketball court, tennis court, arts center, playground, and a pool! I believe the pool is only open during very specific hours in the summertime.

This is so sad this area used to be an awesome place for a family or couple to go to and now it’s full of homeless people and just people up to no good such a lovely area that has gone to crap you can’t even go for a walk anymore without watching your back afraid something is going to happen it was so beautiful and now it’s just a terrible area the police need to do a clean house over there and bring it back to the people that want peace

Great park for a lovely stroll through very well kept grounds. The Sunken Gardens are a perfect place for enjoying the weather, beautiful landscaping, or even bringing a picnic lunch. Outside of the gardens, there are nice walking parks that go throughout the park. And while you are there, make sure to check out the conservatory as well ($2/person, currently requires getting tickets in advance). It offers amazing diversity of flowers, plants, and trees and is well worth the price of admission.

Eat at The Garage Food Hall and then bar hop Mass Ave all the way to here to 16-Bit Bar+Arcade (bar with a slide, free skiball, games, etc). The maple whiskey cocktail is wayyyyyy to sweet; get the cocktail with a slim Jim interest. Overall really fun place for a group. Beware of douchy extreme ping ping players who apparently can push your glass over to break on the floor, and say nothing to you after. Almost all the games are free. There’s an outdoor patio area too.

I came here for the first time with my mother and brother. They card you at the door. Pinball machines and retro arcade games are everywhere. Pinball is $1 and everything else is free. They have a change machine and ATM. The giant slide was fun to go down and the Game Over drink was decent but not very strong. You get to keep the cup as a souvenir. Fire pits are outside and chairs to sit in. Upstairs is another bar and comfortable sofas and some games with the slide access. In the back there are video games. The bar can make any drink you want off the menu since it is a full service bar. The drinks are pricey so I don’t recommend coming just for the drinks. No food is served here either that I could see. You can’t bring outside beverages. Good luck finding parking. You can use a parking garage nearby. 10/10 would go again. Perfect chill spot.

After dinner with another ICU Nurse, we went to Ellenberger Park, just to walk…catch up. The » energy» and » essence» of that park is magical, spiritual,.almost like stepping into another time zone/universe… sounds all hooey pooey hokey ( I know) but look… This one tree had an incredible aura all around it…in the distance another tree’s leaves and branches align to project a perfect light from top side to bottom. We’ll be going back, and soon. Next time we’ll bring dinner there. Can’t get enough of that magic! Look for yourself.

A decent place for a walk on the east side of Indy. There is play equipment for the kids, a walking trail, tennis courts, a pavilion with a grill, volleyball nets and plenty of open green space for kids and pets to run and play. I saw several people walking their dogs. There is also a swimming pool, but it was closed and drained. Part of the walking trail was closed due to construction.

It’s went down hill badly since when I was a kid and the most recent counter productive construction for the park itself. Nothing new , fenced off everything , can’t even cross the bridge , n I understand things have to take place with change n whatever project they are working on but it’s been going on for way too long and it’s like someone forgot about such a lovely place locals miss n wanna see it blossoming , no pool , skating , really old play ground equipment , they definitely could use some updates , mabye a splash pad for the lil ones , a basketball court , re open the pool , host events, new grills n more n. New picnic tables. I’m trying not to be negative , but I don’t think money or the right people on the board of Irvington are speaking up. I hope someone does soon .

Metazoa is a pretty neat brewery. It’s definitely dog-friendly, and that makes sense given their donations to animal-related charities. So that’s pretty cool on its own, but the space is pretty nice too. It’s a tad industrial feeling, but it’s quite comfortable and the staff are friendly. The beers in my flight were good, but Trash Panda remains my favorite of their brews that I’ve tried. This brewery must be especially good during the warmer months when they can open up more. It’s definitely worth a try as one of Indianapolis’ bigger breweries.

Indy Brewery Exploration – Stop #4: Metazoa Brewing Company (Indianapolis, IN) As a biologist, I absolutely appreciate the name Metazoa Brewing Company—and this place lives up to it. It’s one of the most pet-friendly breweries I’ve ever visited, with dogs everywhere and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. I was there on Halloween, and people brought their costumed pups in for «treats,» which made the atmosphere even better. The beer selection was fantastic, with a wide variety and fun animal-themed names. My favorite was the Hoppopotamus—great name, great beer. Definitely a top pick for animal lovers and craft beer fans alike.

We went here on a Tuesday afternoon. It was such a fantastic time! We brought our dog Stella with us and she was very welcomed! I didn’t catch the guys name behind the bar but he was incredibly friendly and nice! So personable and answered all of our questions. I ordered a flight and my husband a regular beer. We ordered from a local food truck online (Cluster Truck) for delivery. Others brought in their own food. There is a good size dog park and it had some heaters going around the benches. 100% will come back again! Highly recommended!! Definitely go!! What a cool place!

Visited 4 breweries during our brief time in Indianapolis, and this was our favorite, as much for the dogs as the beer. Don’t get me wrong – beer was on point. But the dog park and their commitment to helping animals makes this place really special. Loved hanging out and watching the dogs play over a delicious flight. Wish we lived closer!

Super solid brewery that flies under the radar. Fun animal themes for the decor and beer labels (which you can grab for free), and they specifically fund conservancy efforts with their profits. Friendly, quick staff. They do warn that nobody under 21 (no kids or babies, included) is allowed – plan accordingly. Enjoyed the visit!

My coat has never looked better! It looks brand new! I dropped it off to get the hair and lint off my and they got every last piece of lint off! They even returned my lip gloss and chapstick in a small baggie with my coat that I accidentally left in the pockets. This dry cleaning service was so user friendly. I was a little nervous about dropping off my trench coat bc there’s no human interaction. There’s a drop off and pick up station. It’s a 24 hour service. I dropped my coat off at 11am on a Sunday and it was ready by Tuesday at noon. 10/10 recommend trying them out if you want a hassle free quick service. Their pricing is also reasonable . I paid $28 for my coat to be cleaned. I was expecting more because it’s a long, super heavy cashmere coat.

At first I was very excited discovering a local cleaning service with 24/7 availability. However, the transparency and follow through of services was a major let down. Received a call letting me know that I needed to pick up the item before 5pm, prices not listed in person, & stain removal/repair not offered.

I brought my wet comforter in to be cleaned because my stupid dryer is too small to accommodate it, although my washer isn’t. Dropoff was actually kind of cool because of their completely automated system that actually greets you by name when you come to pick up your cleaning, but I’m getting ahead of myself. One of the ladies that works there called me the next morning to see if there were any special instructions because it was partially wet. The comforter was done early, and pickup was super easy. My only concern is that I don’t know if it was washed or dry cleaned. I don’t really care which, but I did think $50 was a little pricey if it were just washed. The comforter came back super clean and smelling wonderful in it’s own little bag, just like the one it came in when I bought it!

I recently became a classic cleaners client and was trying to decide on the correct service. The staff especially Blanca were simply amazing. They helped me decide on the correct service delivery or pick up. The pick up and drop off system is simply amazing. It is so convenient to drop off and know that 2 days later laundry is done in spectacular fashion and easily picked up using their automated machine. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

We went here before going to a play next door. The atmosphere was very chill. I noticed that there were multiple events posted in the restaurant. Seems like a very good place to go if you are looking to build community or find friends. The food was delicious. It came out quick and hot. The service was nice we did not feel rushed. If you are in the area it is a great place to stop in for a bite.

Excellent place to grab a beer and some pub food! Killer smash burgers with a lot of different variation! Jalapeno popper mac and cheese bites are absolutely phenomenal! Also a great place to catch some games or throw some darts!

We went to a show and decided on Ralston’s for dinner. We had been burned last time we tried this a month before but Ralston’s was awesome. The service was friendly, we got seated immediately and our server was knowledgeable. We got the bread and marinara with goat cheese as an appetizer, this was amazing. The bread and sauce were light, fresh and mouth watering. A couple years ago I had the pleasure of enjoying a pulled pork BBQ mac and cheese and have been trying it everywhere to find something close. Ralston’s hit it on the head, it was perfect. I even asked if I could pester the chef for his BBQ sauce recipe but alas it belongs to the owner. My husband got the tenderloin and he said it was lovely, a little spicy, not smashed too flat and the grease was obviously fresh . The only thing that was a little disappointing was the lack of any real dessert options. We both enjoyed our experience immensely and will be happy to try more of their menu.

If I’m being honest I think this place has the best fries. I could have been just really hungry but I really enjoyed the fries. I ordered the Stan Stan Stan burger and it was alright. It’s pretty creative to put pasta on a burger. My partner ordered a pulled pork sandwich. It hit the spot for sure. The staff were really sweet. Our waiter made sure to check in on us and gave great recommendations.

If you’re in Indianapolis, check out Ralston’s Drafthouse. I was visiting from out of town and was really impressed. Great food, solid draft selection, and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming too. Definitely recommend it whether you’re grabbing dinner or just stopping in for a drink.

Hailey and Remi made my experience amazing. It was such a cold and rainy night and me and my friend stopped in to get warm, and they made the atmosphere so fun we ended up staying. Such great company. 10/10 would recommend

We went at lunch and it was pretty quiet. The server was great and helped me with dietary restrictions. They have gluten free buns available as well as ciders on tap. Lots of great options on the menu with unique burgers if you want something different. The atmosphere is very nice for a sports bar with separate rooms and a spacious outdoor patio. We will certainly come back.

Great playground for bigger kids (5 and up? 6 and up?) The equipment is just too big for most younger kids. It’s far enough from the water to feel pretty safe as long as you keep eyes on runners or more unpredictable kids. The grassy area is great for running around and sledding, seems like people clean up after their dogs well. Very limited shade for those hotter days.

We took our kids (8 and 10) to the Colts Canal Playspace in Indianapolis so they could burn off some energy (and maybe give us five minutes of peace). It’s a nice little spot along the canal — clean, modern, and perfect for climbing, spinning, and pretending they’re Spider-Man on the web structures. There are a few slides, a couple swings, and those spinny chairs that make kids laugh and parents dizzy just watching. Our kids had fun, but they were expecting more of a massive playground — you know, the kind with tall slides, towers, and those bridges that make you question your insurance coverage. This one’s more «urban cool» than «suburban jungle.» Still, it’s a great spot for a quick play break if you’re walking along the canal or hanging out downtown. The views are nice, the vibe is chill, and it’s a solid place to let the kids go nuts without them bouncing off your hotel walls. 4 stars — fun and clean, but could use one or two of those giant slides that make kids lose their minds and parents rethink their life choices.

I think its really dumb that it closes at dark. It’s a public space with no boundaries. If you want it to close, put up a gate or a fence. Also, its not light out for that long. I’m sure this would be an awesome park to be at during the day, but getting kicked out for no reason other than the sun isn’t up is annoying. The area is also very well lit and high traffic since it’s right by the canal, so it’s not a safety issue either.

No public restrooms! Or at least not that I could find either the woman I asked if she knew where they were. Street parking. The playground is for older kids. There is just a slide for toddlers. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy the canal.

This was a nice park. I wish it had more shaded areas for the summer heat. Since my boys are big climbers, they thoroughly enjoyed this park. I don’t find it too suitable for kids 4 and under. They have a kiddy climb/slide, and that’s about it.

Fun and clean playground! We wanted to stop at playground during our road trip, and this place was super close to the interstate. We enjoyed the riverwalk and battleship monument. Bonus sma dog area right next to the playground.

The Indianapolis Colts Canal Playspace is such a fantastic spot for families! Tucked along the scenic Downtown Canal Walk, this play area is bright, clean, and full of fun, safe features that keep kids entertained while adults enjoy the beautiful views. The Colts-themed equipment is a big hit—especially the turf field, climbing structures, and interactive play zones. It’s well-maintained and thoughtfully designed to encourage creativity, movement, and social play. You can tell a lot of care went into making this a standout space for all ages. What makes it even better is the location—it’s right on the canal, surrounded by walkways, greenery, and close to other attractions like the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg. It’s a perfect stop during a downtown walk or family outing. We always leave with smiles (and tired kids!). Highly recommend this spot for locals and visitors alike—it’s one of the best free play areas in Indianapolis!

Nice casual place. Parking lot is decent sized but there is also free street parking. I had a steak wrap without the monzzarella & onion rings (on the side). The creme sauce had a little kick to it but it was just enough to give it an edge. Well wrapped burrito style with lettuce that surrounded pockets of well done flavorful steak bites intermixed with tomato and creme sauce. Tried a local Indy beer Sun King Sunlight Creme and a bottled 3 Floyd Zombie Dust, a brewery out of Muncir. If you want a smooth beer with subtle flavors these are good choices. Mainly a guy bar but not discriminated against (did not experience same in gay New Orleans bars). Comfortable atmosphere. Great spot for a late lunch! Would recommend if you are in the area.

This is a fantastic neighborhood bar that you should definitely check out. The employees are very fun and welcoming, and the drinks will not disappoint. The biggest draw is the quality and variety of the food menu. Their daily specials are great if you’re looking for quality food/drinks without breaking the bank. If you go for their prime rib special make sure you get there early otherwise you’ll have to eat standing, because the place is packed. I love this bar so much.

Lovely little bar. The wife and I stopped in and had a drink on our way back to a Bed & Breakfast. Great service, good prices, friendly staff. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.

Went to English Ivy’s, and unfortunately, it was a pretty disappointing experience. The atmosphere is downright depressing and doesn’t invite you to stay. Service was super slow, with staff nowhere to be found for long stretches. The prices are much higher than you’d expect, and honestly, there’s no real justification for it. We ordered the «Boom Boom Shrimp,» which turned out to be a plate of sauce with just five tiny shrimp on it—nothing «boom» about it except maybe the price! We paid $12 for only five shrimps, which felt like a joke. Save your money and find somewhere else, you’re not missing anything at English Ivy’s.

We have never dined here before but were looking for a Thanksgiving option that wasnt outrageously priced, all fancy food and something besides turkey. English Ivys seemed to fit the bill. Hubby especially was a little nervous going in because he was afraid we might not be welcomed, but other than a small mix up with our reservation where they had us down as a party of 12 rather than 2, everything was great. The food was plentiful and so good. I enjoyed my glass of Moscato and hubby Long Island made him yelp a bit on first drink. It is hard to make a 50 year old musician react to a drink as his go to is straight tequila, but they were generous with the liquor. Overall a wonderful experience and I dont think it will be our last visit.

I’m sorry I didn’t take any pictures but this establishment has fantastic food and great service. Zach was our server and he kept up on everything. We never had to ask for a refill or anything. Curtis, who ran the bar, made sure we were seated and promptly waited on. If you are looking for fast food, don’t go here. Everything made from scratch. Everything is fresh. You will love whatever you order.

Frequently asked questions about dog walkers in Indianapolis

What types of dog walking services are typically offered?

Many dog walkers in Indianapolis offer a range of services, including 30-minute walks, 60-minute walks, and extended daily walks. Some walkers also provide pet sitting services, including overnight stays, while others specialize in senior dog care or dogs with specific needs. It’s important to discuss your dog’s individual requirements when selecting a walker.

How do I choose a dog walker for my dog’s temperament?

Selecting a dog walker who understands your dog’s personality is crucial. Be upfront about your dog’s temperament, any anxieties, or social behaviors. Ask the walker about their experience with similar dogs and their approach to handling potentially challenging situations. A good walker will be willing to adjust their methods to ensure your dog’s comfort and safety.

What should I expect during a typical dog walking session?

A typical dog walking session usually involves a leash walk to allow the dog to relieve themselves and stretch their legs. The walker will also provide fresh water and may engage in some basic training exercises, such as recall or loose-leash walking. It’s advisable to discuss your expectations regarding the duration and activities of the walk during the initial consultation.

How do I ensure my dog’s safety while being walked?

Safety should be the top priority. Ensure the dog walker uses a secure leash and collar with identification tags. They should also be aware of the surrounding environment, including traffic, other animals, and potential hazards. A responsible walker will maintain constant visual contact with your dog and monitor their behavior closely.

What about insurance and background checks?

When hiring a dog walker, it's crucial to inquire about their insurance coverage. This protects you in case of accidents or injuries. Furthermore, a reputable walker will have undergone a criminal background check to ensure their safety and the safety of your pet. Don’t hesitate to ask for proof of insurance and background checks.

How do I communicate with the dog walker?

Regular communication is essential. The dog walker should provide updates, photos, or videos of your dog during and after each walk. Discuss scheduling, pricing, and any changes in advance. A clear communication channel helps build trust and ensures both you and the walker are on the same page.

What is the typical cost of a dog walking service in Indianapolis?

The cost of a dog walking service can vary depending on factors such as the length of the walk, the number of dogs being walked, and the walker’s experience. Rates in Indianapolis typically range from $15 to $30 per walk, but it's best to get multiple quotes before making a decision. Understand the pricing structure thoroughly before committing.

What should I provide the dog walker?

You’ll need to provide the walker with keys to your home (if needed), instructions for administering medications (if applicable), and information about your dog’s feeding schedule. It’s also helpful to leave out water and a comfortable place for your dog to rest after the walk.

How do I know if the dog walker is a good fit for my dog?

A good fit isn’t just about a dog’s preference; it’s about a mutual comfort level. Observe how the walker interacts with your dog – are they gentle, patient, and attentive? Does your dog seem relaxed and happy with the walker? A positive interaction is a key indicator of a successful pairing.

What are the potential red flags to watch out for when hiring a dog walker?

Be wary of walkers who are consistently late, provide vague explanations, or appear unprofessional. Unwillingness to provide references or lack of insurance should also raise concerns. Trust your instincts – if something doesn't feel right, it's best to move on to another candidate. Always prioritize safety and responsibility.
