The Traveling Man

This was my first time at this particular AMC location. As a Movie fan, I pay for the monthly AMC “A-List” while trying different AMC locations. This location is the best one I’ve been to yet. First off, this location pops it’s own Popcorn. All the other AMCs I’ve been to pour already popped Popcorn out of large clear bags and sell it that way and it’s terrible. This locations pops it and it is delicious. So much better fresh like this. I was surprised when I saw it popping. The theatres I watched Movies in were clean with a few exceptions but there were alot of people there due to the weekend, the pictures were bright and loud (especially the Dolby Cinema which is fantastic) and all the employees I spoke to were friendly. The downfall, reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is because the doors to each auditorium is left open never shut during Movies so at times you could hear another Movie across the hall. Like every theatre there are people on their phones and talking during the Movie which is stupid on their part. Overall, I would return here before I would other AMC locations in the area.

A great place to watch movies on giant screens. We were able to get our tickets and food easily. I love they the soda machines because the options are practically endless. The food was good, the staff were helpful, and the theater was clean. The seats recline, which is nice. The chair I was sitting in wasn’t comfortable unless I was reclined all the way though.

We live in Bloomington, so this is the closest IMAX theater we can go to—and we came specifically to watch F1: The Movie, which we highly recommend! It was definitely worth the trip. The theater only has one IMAX screen, but it still delivers a solid viewing experience.

One thing to note: they’re very strict about outside food and drinks. If you’re planning to bring something like water, it’s best to keep it discreetly in your bag. Just something to keep in mind before you go.

Overall, it’s a decent theater for catching IMAX movies if you’re in southern Indiana and don’t have one nearby!

I always enjoy going to the theater. We saw “How to Train Your Dragon” in Imax, which was cool. We enjoyed the movie. Overpriced tickets and food, but ig thats how they pay to keep the building open.

Great location! Been here two times and each time has been a top notch experience. Which, honestly, is rare in this time that doesn’t see theaters in the same way we used to. I especially want to commend an employee there named Nick. If he’s not a manager, he should be. Absolutely went above and beyond and was incredibly hard working. It is nice to see!

Easily one of the best AMCs I’ve been to in a while. This one’s nice, clean, not run down. We didn’t do any concessions and saw a matinee movie that had been out for a little bit, so not overcrowded or loud at all. Recliners were comfy and worked great, no cracked seat that I saw. We came to the area from Cincinnati for Terra Gaucha, and this movie theater was a nice complement ahead of our dinner date. We were going to try this area’s Alamo Drafthouse (we’ve been to several in Texas), but they didn’t have an early enough showtime that worked for us.

All in all, I’d recommend this theater, and we’d happily come back!

I’ve been coming to this drive-in my whole life, and it’s pure nostalgia every time. The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice showing was a blast—people dressed up, the vibe was electric, and even my grand doggie is always welcome here! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and memories that keep me coming back.

I absolutely adore this place. I’m 38, from here, and somehow hadn’t been until last year. Holy wow I can’t believe I waited this long. How silly of me. This place rules.

So laid back. So well thought out. So reasonably priced. So friendly. Great for groups or solo.

Great selection of concessions. You’re allowed to bring your own food but yo, support them. Buy their stuff. It’s way cheaper than normal theaters. Way more variety too.

Four screens that always show two or three movies, and they don’t care if you mix and match (switch to another screen after the first movie). Always one price. $12, and if they raise it, fair enough. Tons of space. The worst thing you’ll encounter is some mildly unruly high school kids, but the staff will come thru on a golf cart if they’re too wild.

Mostly it’s super chill.

Speaking of the golf cart, it will also show up if someone has their headlights on for more than a minute or two but get this, they’re SUPER nice about it and if you can’t figure out how to have sound and make your lights be off (some cars are weird) they carry these opaque panels of material that they will tape over your lights for you. Frickin awesome. They will also jump your car if your battery dies. Smart.

This is just a business done right. Whoever makes the rules gives a hoot about movies and drive-ins and the whole experience of it all.

This is such a great way to enjoy a movie. I guess you don’t get the crazy sound system that modern theaters have, and planes fly over a fair bit as it’s not too far from the airport, but the picture is amazing and the trade off is well worth it. So much more relaxed than a normal theater.

Honestly one of my only complaints is that it’s so pleasant, I tend to have an overly positive bias about the movies I see here. If I saw it at Tibbs, I liked it. So maybe avoid if you’re a critic and need to write harshly about film.

So if you have heard about Tubns your whole life but never been, do it.

Long live The Tibbs!

DONT watch scary movies here as you will only see half the movie as the screens are not equipped for it.
Love the pizza!!! The popcorn tasted a little stale this visit but not in the past.
Love watching movies under the stars and $12 for 2 is perfect. They do shut down everything at midnight so use the restroom before then.
Overall it’s a summer staple!!

I had not been to Tibbs since i was a child, but everything seemed exactly as it did then, and it was amazing. I recommend bringing or buying a radio; most cars don’t turn off lights even if just in accessory mode, so having a separate one outside of the car worked a lot better. The food was fair, and they had a variety of Midwest favorites. There were the normal movie concessions, but they also had the tenderloin, pizza, burgers, fries, and hot dogs I remember from 30 years ago – and I reveled in them. 🙂 They don’t prevent you from bringing in outside food or drink, but what they offer is hot, ready, and still tasty.
Everything has a late 70s / early 80s feel, but nothing is run down or worn out. It just feels like a timeless bubble of Americana hidden away. It was a thrill to rediscover it.
It is definitely a great way to watch a movie under the stars, and people were respectful and friendly.

Tibbs was wonderful as always. Lovely Autumn evening and the only crowd was at the concession stand. Each screen had Halloween themed movies. We watched the 1943 Phantom of the Opera in 1939, Son of Frankenstein. The fries were hot and fresh. The movies were old and classic. A great night.

Another lovely evening at Tibbs. Cool, not too busy. I was pleased they had hot chocolate.

The 3D visuals were impressive, and the sound quality was crystal clear, which made the movie even more exciting for both of us.
The atmosphere inside the theater was calm and enjoyable.

Enjoyed an almost no crowd 11:45am showtime of Dog Man! Theatre and restrooms were tidy. Did not purchase food this time, but would recommend funnel cake sticks. It was a CC movie and had been listed as such, wondered if that would be an issue but found myself reading everything. Comfortable seats, the back row feels almost like your the only row in the theater. Purchased the tickets on groupon and entry with the QR code was smooth.

I pre-bought my tickets and they were 20% off for our 12:30 PM showing of Hamilton. It was my first time ever seeing the play and I was thrilled. It was easy to go thru the line with our prepaid tickets. It was also easy going through the concession line. The theater was very clean and the seats worked perfectly with reclining. I do have a hand sticker so I was able to find an easy parking spot right in front. There’s also easy getting out of the parking lot.

Apart from the movie, not the best experience. The popcorn was really stale and had been premade ahead of the film to prepare for a crowd, but none was being freshly popped. One person working the counter so the line took forever, even the people in the Stubs Club line were waiting too long. Most of the soda machines were not working. I had to go to one for ice and a completely different one for soda. Only one of the soap dispensers in the bathroom had soap and the paper towels were empty. Does anybody work here?

I had a wonderful experience at this regional movie theater. The building was clean and well-maintained, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. Although I accidentally went to the wrong location where I originally purchased my tickets, the staff here went above and beyond to help me. They were able to refund my original tickets and assist me in purchasing new ones on-site.

A special shoutout to a young man named Jeremiah he was incredibly sweet and helpful. I had my two children with me and was clearly juggling a lot, and he didn’t hesitate to lend a hand. He carried my food into the theater for me and even helped me on my way out. He was a true gentleman and made my visit so much easier.

Overall, my experience was delightful, and I will definitely be coming back. Great customer service goes a long way!

Clean, comfortable and not crowded. My 3 Cs of an enjoyable movie experience. They had some trouble using my gift card as payment at the concessions, but the manager came over and helped, so it ended fine. We typically go to Emagine in Noblesville but this place definitely is back on the list!

Theatre is great and staff there is always nice. Just be careful getting the monthly subscription or stocking up your credits. I had someone use all my credits in another state and when I emailed to ask for it to be corrected they said they aren’t obligated to do anything for fraudulent activity, on your account or even your card on file. So I cancelled my monthly membership. Use your credits immediately or be prepared for someone else to use them and not get them back.

I’m not even sure how this place is still open. We were there over spring break and the place was dead. We were afraid they were closed! It took forever for an employee to emerge from the back and finally take our money. For a weekday matinee show with one senior, one adult, and two children, it was $74… this did include two kid meal deals that got us popcorn, fruit snacks, and drinks. And then the theater itself. Yikes. It was ridiculously cold inside, the reclining seats were old and uncomfortable, and there were only two bathrooms in the movie area. Us women got lucky enough to be on the opposite end and had to walk a mile to go to the bathroom. I can’t think of anything about the experience that I liked. I won’t be coming back here.

The theatre was nice and comfortable. It took a moment to find an self service machine that operated. For a first time visitor, choosing a seat is a bit confusing, but we were pleased with the seats we chose. Our seats felt very comfortable, but at least a pair of seats in the theatre could use some attention due to the leather tearing. We would revisit this theatre again.

Great theater! Not too busy but not empty. Staff is friendly and competent. Theater was clean, and the screen and audio were fantastic! As far as the movie, we viewed The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes though not what I hoped it was entertaining and cinematic! Sold out of Demon Slayer merch before the release of the movie for public viewing. Also won’t restock the items. Why even advertise it’s availability online? AMC has done nothing to protect the average consumer from scalpers. Now these items are listed online for $80 an item!

They need to mark their website better. When I ordered the tickets, I was under the impression they were gonna be recliner seats. I get there, and my seat is completely soaked with soda. The cup holder is dripping wet, seat soaked with soda, and it doesn’t recline. Smelled like a gym bag the whole time I was sitting there. Someone riding a scooter that sits 2 feet above the seats sat in front of me. I have no problem with people with disabilities or in wheelchairs but that was a whole riding scooter. The movie theater couldn’t do anything about me seeing a silhouette of a man the entire time of the Deadpool movie. They offered to refund me, but at that point, the movie started and didn’t wanna ruin things for everyone else. They gave me movie tickets and drink and popcorn tickets that expired within a month. Won’t be back. This place needs to do some deep cleaning on the seats. it shouldn’t smell like mildew in the theater. Not impressed with how they “gave me a refund”.

Solid theater, usually very clean but one of the worser AMC locations. Had a bad experience with talkers and a manager gave us free passes as an apology… they were expired.

Most of the staff looks like they are having the worst day of their life.

There is a big guy with long hair who has worked here forever and has spoiled some movies for us because he always wants to chat you up when you are leaving the theater. One time he spoiled a movie before I even made it out of the bathroom before it started.

What’s going on with the landscaping? We park to the east and it’s like the theater stopped paying for landscaping. It makes the theater look like it’s run down.

Overall it’s fine but this location just feels like it’s going through the motions. At least the reclining seats are functional but when tickets cost what they do, it’s reasonable to expect better, especially from AMC (I’m a shareholder as well )

The facility was clean and the staff efficient and pleasant. Lost a star because the theater was absolutely stifling! Almost 3 hours in a closed room with 50 people is not something I wish on others. Disappointed! Had an 11am show today for Lilo & Stitch. Arrived at 11:15am to skip previews. Enter the cinema and the screen is off. 11:30 staff comes in stating technical difficulties. 30 minutes later??? Obviously was offered a refund. Waited in line 15 minutes for my refund. Refund does not include the convenience fee charged when I initially bought the tickets. Bought $50 of snacks for nothing! Really AMC!?

Im only giving a 5 star rating for the manager that was on duty today Sept 7th when I arrived for the 1:15pm showing of The Conjuring.(her name starts with “S” & she is a new hire). she was very sweet to me & helped me with a complaint. I could tell she was exhausted & overworked from a lack of having help & being tugged in every direction .. AMC I am asking you to do better & staff your establishment properly. This world is so chaotic, people have stressful lives going on outside of their jobs. To have to go to work & be expected to do the jobs of 5 other people by themselves.. I am disappointed at the higher management

Nice reclining leather chairs. Good quality picture. Theater was clean including the bathrooms. They now have the machines where you can pick your drink and free refills. Stubs rewards program so you can get free upgrades and gifts. Concession prices are high, but nothing new there. They’ve jumped on the bandwagon with the fancier food choices. My only real complaint was it was very warm in the theater.

Went here for the first time in nearly 20 years. I wanted to go to one of the AMC theaters, but the matinee time was available at this theater. The concession workers were nice and your ticket gets validated so you get free parking which was a pro, and the restrooms, lobby and theater was nice and clean. But the con was the feature with the projection on the big screen.

I really could’ve saw this at home, but I wanted to support this feature. The other con I didn’t like my food item that I wanted a refund on. I had to wait for the manager and they/them wouldn’t grant it. I would recommend Living Room Theaters, Kan Kan, or the newly Alamo Drafthouse. This theater is no different than the average theater you could go to.

Drove 5hrs to watch the 70mm editions of tenet & DUNE 2- I appreciate that parking is complimentary with tix purchase. The concessions and service were excellent. Same crew helped me both days and were excellent. The audio! And theater didn’t disappoint. All the extra $ I spent to make it here was worth it. I did not tour any other exhibit or feature of this gorgeous building but I strongly recommend watching a 70mm feature here. Honestly. I’m probably coming back indy to watch dune 2 again. No other way to watch such a movie..

Fabulous screen and sound system. Definitely see anything you can here. Skip the concessions (I only had the popcorn). It was the crappy, dusty salt, super cheap type. For $20 a ticket, the popcorn could use an upgrade.

An incredible viewing experience, boasting one of only a handful of IMAX 70mm projectors. The sound is deafening (when it’s meant to be) and the picture is crisp. Great selection of local beers and typical concessions. Plus they have a rewards program and validate parking!

They recently upgraded/updated their seats as well, so now the experience is plush and comfortable for bigger people, too.

Basically no bad seats in the theater, sat far left (C31) and still had a great view of everything, but I can imagine the front two rows might get some strain looking up the whole time. Seats were comfy and most recline slightly, but there is very little leg room for people over 6ft or in situations where people might need to shuffle past. Films generally have no trailers and only minimal State Museum ad clips before starting, our 4:30pm film started only about 10 minutes after posted time. Concessions are the right size considering there’s only one screen, but gets backed up when everyone shows up 10 minutes before start time so show up earlier if you want popcorn.

Definitely one of your favorite movie theaters in Indianapolis! They always have a great lineup of movies, and watching them on an IMAX screen with high end sound is incredible.

What I like the most is that this movie theater is always clean and never crowded. And the type of folks that come here is mostly adults which makes the whole experience more peaceful and relaxing.

A cherry on top is free underground parking (just get a free ticket validation at the concession stand).

The only reason for 4 stars is the seating situation. It’s the Frontier Airlines of auditoriums. The seats are narrow and there is no legroom, especially if you’re 6 ft or taller. They also recline easily, so people sitting in front of you can hit your knees (which happened to me, and it wasn’t pleasant). If they can add a few inches between rows, this would be a five star movie theater!

Great sound and picture. The sound vibrates through the seats. They also have very comfortable reclining seats. The concessions are great. Pepperoni pizza and popcorn taste great. I love that you can add salt and butter to your own popcorn yourself. I love the Coke freestyle machines as well. The theater is very clean and beautiful. I totally recommend!

I went to go see Jurassic Park 3D. What I noticed the most was that the seats were very good… while I was seated there, I must have brushed my hand across the controls. I noticed that the back of my chair was getting warm… That’s when I realized that they have heaters in the seats.. WOW!!! That was amazing!! And the staff were very friendly.. Definitely going back again….

I really like this theater! The chairs are big and recline. They even have a seat warmer built in the chairs. There is a lot of space between rows so it’s easy to get in and out of a middle seat if needed. The popcorn was really good and a big size. They offer the trays for the popcorn as well. They have the soda machines where you can choose your flavor and mix jns- it’s basically endless choices. The staff were friendly. Also this is a great movie theater for anyone who has an issue with stairs. The theater room we were in is slopes- no stairs. They also had several areas for wheelchair seating right when you walk in the theater room.

This theater has the most comfortable seating. Just like being in a recliner. I generally go on Tuesdays, to the first show. It’s never crowded. Staff is readily available. Very clean.

Cinemark in Greenwood is the best classic movie theater experience nearby. The seats are comfortable, the screens and sound are great, and the whole place has that perfect “movie night” vibe. Even though it’s a bit of a drive from Indy, it’s absolutely worth it for the experience. I just wish they’d open a Cinemark location on the north side.

The Cinema was clean and the staff was friendly. The chairs were comfortable and reclined. I only had popcorn and drink, but the Cinema was packed with the usually Movie Theater snacks and food. I would come back again to watch another movie.

Regal UA Circle Centre offers a comfortable cinema experience with spacious seating and clean facilities. The location is convenient for a quick trip downtown, and the staff are friendly and efficient during both peak hours and quieter showings. I appreciated the clear signage, easy ticketing process, and reliable concession options. Comfort and value are noticeable here, making it a solid choice for a night out with friends or family.

Sound quality is clear without overwhelming bass, and the screens show vibrant colors that keep action scenes immersive. The seating layout minimizes disturbances, and the aisle space helps keep crowds moving smoothly between shows. I would like to see faster service at busy times, but the overall experience remains enjoyable. Fresh popcorn, clean restrooms, and a professional approach to safety contribute to a consistently positive impression of Regal UA Circle Centre.

We were in town for my stepdaughter’s marching band competition back in November. While we had a free day of exploring the city. We decided to head to the movies. This was during the middle of the day, and NO ONE was there. There was one other person in the cinema watching Five Nights at Freddie’s with us, It was almost creepy. The guy, not the movie. But also very relaxing that we didn’t have to share a row full of ppl. I hate when ppl sit right next to you when they have the whole cinema of seats to pick from, very annoying, and this guy sat rows behind us. The seats were clean, the cinema looked very neat. We’re keep this place in ming, if we’re ever back in town again.

The theatre (concession area – lobby) is dated but the individual theatres have been “updated” with reclining chairs.

The chairs have an attached table making it easy to eat.

The chairs feel cheap, and uncomfortable when reclined. You can tell they cut on cost trying to compete with AMC Theatres recliners.

Regal needs to raise the bar if they want any type of chance of comparison.

One person at the counter and it took over 15 minutes for a single order of nachos. They had to run my payment for tickets and again for food at two different registers. I was the only one in line. Place was clean though. Paid $7.80 for a single ticket. I guess they run on a skelton staff. I should have passed and just went to the mall.

Whenever I go here, it is not crowded at all. Very few people go here. But the chairs are recliners with a swivel table and a large cup holder. The aisle between seats is very large as well. Probably for handicap access. They have refills on large popcorn and large drinks. Not a bad place to go, but I worry that it may close due to no large attendance..

The theater is impressive, offering ample space between rows for a comfortable viewing experience. It’s a large venue, easily accommodating a significant number of people. The only downside is navigating the parking situation—you’ll need to park in the garage beneath the mall. We chose the Sun Garage, which was conveniently located. They offer parking validation, which is a nice perk. The staff was also very friendly and eager to assist.

Good seats, clean (because it’s always empty here.) Very expensive. Polite staff. Just take the extra time to go to AMC or Living Room if you’re looking for cheaper tickets. They left the lights on for the entirety of a horror movie at one point, but as someone who has worked at a theater before, I can tell you it is a rare mistake. During a horror movie though?? C’mon. Other times we’ve been here we’ve had no trouble aside from very noisy and disruptive guests. Over half the times we’ve been here we’ve had to shush the one other group seeing the movie to no avail. Staff will not tell them to be quiet during theater checks. Not sure what happened to silencing your phone and silencing your mouth but here we are. If you’re coming here to watch a movie, please be quiet! It wasn’t just you who paid $18-$20 for a ticket!

I was really upset they didn’t have a dine In theater in Indianapolis. that all changed when I realized I had automatic reclining seats! Nice clean theater, a lot of legroom, you got to be careful not to fall asleep if the movie is slow. Rocketman kept me rocking!

Landmark’s Glendale 12 Theatre delivers solid neighborhood cinema with dependable showtimes and a welcoming staff. Maintenance needs in the women’s bathroom. Mystery dirt on bathroom stall walls (poop?)

Staff are nice and helpful.

We’re too fat for the seats. They’re on the small side, but the armrests go up, so as long as it’s not busy (and we were a third of those in attendence) no problem. Someone needs to vacuum the popcorn out of them (theater 6).

Hard to feel safe buying popcorn or drinks when you can tell cleaning is neglected.

This theatre opened July 26, 1967, across the parking lot of the Glendale Shopping Center Mall. The theatre, as most General Cinema theatres were not designed to win awards for decor. Pretty plain. Circa 1970, the Glendale 3 & 4 opened across the street on North Keystone.

The largest screen was eventually divided into tunnel vision theatres (long and narrow). Today Kerasotes Theatres has a megaplex at the Glendale Mall location.

My partner and I have visited this theatre about once a month since we moved to the neighborhood in 2017. The staff are always fantastic, the concessions are fresh and tasty, the audio/visual quality of the movies is good. We often go on weekday evenings and it is rarely busy; on many occasions we have had the theatre to ourselves.

The seating is dated and faded but still perfectly comfortable, and ticket prices are consistently a bit less than other (updated/upgraded/luxury) theatres in the area.

The staff is always super friendly. We go, I’d say, biweekly. Never a negative experience. A lot of reviews saying the seats are “dirty” are used to the new leather seats at newly renovated theaters. Which is fine! Don’t let it deter you l.

The Dining Grandpa

Third visit here, nice clean theater and plenty of fresh popcorn with cold soda, assorted snacks and treats. This is an older theater missing here is recliners and mixed drinks. Though the Theater is in need of a few upgrades, nothing here appears neglected or worn out. We came to see Oppenheimer on our first visit, great flick. Younger people should likely do a little history research before watching. Otherwise parts of the movie will not be understood! Older folks such as myself were taught ww2 history in school. Good Movie it’s a bit slow at first but worth the wait. This film will sure win Oscars. Today Saturday 8/5, we came for “Talk to me”. This is a creepy little tale, sure to catch you off guard more than once. Younger viewers will find it terrifying I’m sure. 9/8 back for Equalizer 3 with Denzel Washington, this is the best one yet! This movie is fast and exciting. Has everything you want in an action thriller. Denzel plays his role masterfully.. What a great flick, very bloody and entertaining. Overall this isn’t a bad theater, but better seats would certainly be welcome.
