In Indianapolis for a girls weekend. Best latte I have had in a while! So good we went back the next day for another cup! If I lived here I would have a problem not getting my coffee here daily!

Found by driving by. OH MY GOODNESS. Best coffee!! The pastries looked wonderful, but we only came in for coffee. Walked out with coffee and a box of coffee pods. Went to do some shopping and on the way home, stopped again!!! Two more drinks and another box of coffee pods. The dark roast pods are amazing and taste like fresh ground coffee beans!! We will be regulars. AND….they roast for other favorites of ours, too…..Groovy Cafe and Leo’s! Excellent find. Staff very knowledgeable and super friendly!

If I had to create a top 5 Indy coffee list, Brickhouse would be in that list.
The coffee house initially started as a Roastery and now they brew their own coffee and serve some very delicious baked goods.
I tried Lavender Lemon Scone paired with Americano and I must say that was such a stellar combination. The crispy lemony scone with hints of lemon and medium roast Columbia’s roast was such a fine morning treat.
This coffee shop isn’t a chain and is a local gem in Geist. The area is captivating and so is the coffee shop. Ambience is sheer bliss and there’s a comforting vibe about the entire space. Highly recommend trying out Brickhouse for their coffee and excellent service!

Love when I get to stop in at this cute/ tasty coffee shop! I really enjoy the honey shaken espresso and most of the lattes. I love being able to order espresso beans online and have them shipped to my house too. Also love that the Redefined Hope’s coffee shop uses Brickhouse beans – my favorite store and my favorite coffee I’ve got the Decaf at home and just placed another order for the Heritage Espresso really enjoy both of those.

My first impression was…WOW. The barista who made my drink was Zavion and he was absolutely Amazion. Just a little play on words there. But he really was the best. He was patient, well-versed in all things Brickhouse Coffee related, kind, friendly, and very professional. He spent so much time with my daughter and I making sure that we felt heard and also making sure that we would get the best drink to fit our taste profiles. What a true gem he is. It was also very cool to see someone roasting beans when we arrived. The only sad part is that they only have decaf in one flavor.

I accidentally visited this place thinking it was a Starbucks (it used to be there), after taking to Owener’s I was so impressed and had to try their latte, and it was seriously better than Starbucks. If you visit, you MUST try their Dubai chocolate, it’s hand made and absolutely delicious. Will definitely visit again.

A friend and his family taste-tested all the different Dubai chocolates at Castleton Square Mall, and everyone picked Cath Coffee’s homemade Dubai chocolate as the clear winner.
He raved about it, so I had to try it, and it did not disappoint
With a slight shimmer on the outside, the presentation is so pretty. When you bite into it, you hear the chocolate snap giving way to the rich pistachio/phyllo pastry filling. It’s not too sweet, just perfect
We had to come back and buy more to share with family.

Vast menu with so many great options, you can’t go wrong. I had the Pistachio Latte with coconut milk…not too hot & not too sweet! Just right. Also, the Dubai chocolates are homemade and nothing beats homemade! Cath Coffee delivers great customer service that draws you in and will keep you coming back!

When we stopped to look the menu and the delicious looking desserts at Cath Coffee at Castleton Square Mall, the owner called out and greeted us. He was so nice and answered all of our questions. My daughter told him how much I love Dubai chocolate, and he told us that he had 3 different sizes that were all homemade. We got the smallest just to try it out and it was amazingly delicious. He had 3 sizes, a small for $9, a medium for $19 and the HUGE one was $29. (About the size of my forearm!) Well worth the money for the size. They had a variety of Turkish pastries and all kinds of coffee and energy drinks. So if you’re like me, and love exotic treats and flavored coffee, go check them out!

Really cool place! So much history and beautiful architecture. It’s connected to the Rathskeller! Its big and has lots of space to do whatever. Plenty of seats. The croissant and biscuit were delicious. There was other food available! It was busy but the workers got things out fast!

Had to grab some coffee after flying in. This is a great spot!
Atmosphere is authentic and historical—loved reading all the German history plaques in the building.
We had lattes (a Lavender and a Butterscotch iced) and the presentation was great, sadly I forgot to take a photo. The lattes were not too sweet and really good! Perfect pick-me-ups.
Also had a a yummy croissant. Highly recommend. Friendly service. Great coffee. Cool location.

Just an average coffee place in a cool building. Definitely 5 stars for atmosphere. The tea was decent and the breakfast sandwich was alright, just kind of over-priced. I think after tax and tip it was $21.

Been here a couple of times and have really enjoyed the drinks I’ve gotten. They have in house baked goods that smell amazing and they sometimes have native bread cookies which are gluten free. Wish I could try their chocolate chip cookies, they look really yummy. They even have lunch options. I really like their chocolate Latte. The space is nice, cozy, with a great location.

I’ll be honest I have been skeptical to try Coat Check since the atmosphere is not my favorite.
Cortado was okay.
Tried a washed Peruvian drip today and it was actually pretty tasty.
Good people.
I probably wouldn’t come again because it’s not my favorite atmosphere, but they have a unique selection.

This spot works well as a casual workspace for quick meetings. The atmosphere is welcoming, with cozy corners ideal for focused work. While slightly pricier than average, the quality of the food justifies the cost.
My standout favorite was the butterscotch latte—a perfect balance of sweet and salty, with just the right amount of sweetness.
For breakfast, the bacon breakfast sandwich is worth trying. Though the biscuit base isn’t the best, the bacon is crispy and flavorful. The egg soufflé stole the show: impossibly fluffy and moist, it’s a must-try

I’ve tried golden milk lattes at just about every coffee shop that serves them, and this one is hands down the best. The spice blend is perfectly balanced with just the right kick, like a cup of delicious medicine. Their Chai latte is also amazing.

Calvin Fletcher’s Coffee Company presents a thoughtful coffee experience with craft and guest comfort. The staff are consistently friendly, guiding orders with patience and a welcoming smile. I notice clean lines and a calming atmosphere that lets you focus or unwind. Their roasting philosophy shines in every cup, delivering balanced flavors and a smooth finish that invites another sip. The space stays comfortable for conversations or solo work.
I appreciate the steady pace that respects your time while never rushing you. The staff remember regulars by name, making each visit feel like a small ritual of care. The bright ambiance and thoughtful music contribute to a mood that supports well-being, whether you’re catching up on work or meeting friends. I value the consistent quality and service, plus the occasional delicate pastry pairings that elevate the experience.

This is a large, busy coffe shop with lots of seating. Dirty Chai Latte with almond milk is delicious! One of the best I’ve ever had! The line was long, but very much worth the wait!

What a great spot. The staff were great and the coffee….. Yum. They roast their own beans which I love! Try the Masala Latte. My son got his gross cold brew black coffee , he said it was fabulous, but I cannot drink cold brew!

The location is great. There’s plenty of seating, including a large outdoor covered patio and uncovered area. The atmosphere is bohemian, with a hint of urban vibe. The coffee is pricy, but good. They have almond and oat milk. I got an iced Cafe Miele with almond milk, tasty! My favorite part is the Adirondack chairs outside. I love this style because it’s so much more comfortable than other outside chairs. The service was also good. On a side note, the bathrooms are nice and I love the flamingo wallpaper!

I was traveling in Indiana and looking for a coffee to start my day after a long drive. I stumbled upon this café by chance, and I’m so glad I did! The shop has a unique and stylish design that really caught my eye. I tried their recommended coffee, Utopia — it was wonderfully aromatic and tasted amazing. I even bought a bag of whole beans to take home. The pastries were delicious too.
One of the best parts: they have a lovely patio, which is perfect for dog lovers. If any of my friends come to Indiana, this is the first coffee shop I’ll tell them to visit!

Been here a few times and have enjoyed my visit everytime. Their coffee and teas are both very good. They have a wide selection of syrups and creative pre selection seasonal drinks. The space itself is nice with both outdoor and indoor seating. Bathrooms are clean. In store they have some food items, including gluten free cookies.

I came here for a quick drink one afternoon while visiting town. I love the latte (and tea) selections; they have some unique blends of common drinks you don’t see at too many other coffee shops. I went with the bronze latte — it was tasty, good quality espresso, not super sweet, and had a subtle spice. I’d drink it any day. My lady was a fan of her caramel latte, and she’s not easy to please with her coffee! The place had a nice vibe, cozy seats, a patio, and lots of indoor seating. It’s definitely the kind of place I’d frequent if I was a local.

Loved the coffee and service here! I came in right before close which was not what I would love to usually do but I was visiting for a concert overnight and only had this time to go and I’m so glad I did! The service was fantastic and the employees were so nice. Great coffee too. I loved my Spanish latte

We needed a little coffee refuel while touring downtown Indianapolis and stopped at Bovaconti to help us out. We enjoyed hot mochas and iced mochas on the beautiful patio. This spot served up one of the best mochas I’ve ever tried! If you are looking for a wonderful coffee shop with a gorgeous interior, make sure to visit Bovaconti!

A beautiful coffee shop right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. The coffee is outstanding, the pastries consistently excellent—it’s just the service that could use a little polish. Still worth the visit for the atmosphere and quality alone.
Edit: Of Course, I sent you an email! Thanks again for creating such a lovely spot.

Great coffee shop on the north side of downtown. I ordered a salted bourbon carmel latte and it was fantastic. The espresso was smooth, yet bold and just how I like it.

Such a variety of options. Their blueberry muffin was delicious as well as their croissants. I also got their chocolate pastry with pistachio and almonds. It’s perfectly sweet and salty. Their coffee is also very delicious and flavorful and have many options. The lady who helped me was very friendly and patient while I decided what I wanted. Definitely recommend checking this place out. The atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful. Definitely a place you can work. One of the customers stepped outside to take a phone call to keep the inside Quiet. thought that was very admirable to respect the other customers.

Coffee was so so. I rank it with coffee I could have gotten from speedway gas station. Nothing to ride home about. The only thing they got right was it was hot , like I asked. Pastry’s horrible. Tasted as if they been left off for about a week. Nothing fresh about it. I got the almond croissant and it was hard, cold and stale. Def need to serve more fresher pastries in the future. Delightful and unique coffee and treat destination!
The latte I got was delicious! We also got a piece of “Dubai chocolate” which was very unique, sweet and had a lovely crunchy center.
My wife loves the decor and we all loved the atmosphere.
Definitely worth a trip. I would love to go back and try more of their treats!

I wanted to try Motw coffee since long and I ended up at their Indianapolis location accidentally , oh boy I was not at all disappointed by the ambience☺️ and the speciality lattes. I tried their famous Spanish latte with a coffee cake. The coffee was a bit too sweet for my liking. They offer a variety of baked goods and snack options ☺️

Wow. Strawberry matcha was insanely good. Never had anything like it. Should’ve got a large, stuck in traffic and pissed now! Lol. See you soon.

Biscoff is great paired with the honeycomb! Super pricey though in my opinion so it’s only a weekly stop for me! ❤️

Kaffeine Coffee Company delivers a welcoming and consistent cafe experience. From the moment you step in, the staff are attentive and efficient, guiding you through a concise menu of well-balanced drinks. I enjoyed a smooth latte and a bright espresso, both prepared with care and a clean presentation. The beans showcase thoughtful roasting, and the aroma turns a simple visit into a small ritual of pause and focus.
The overall value at Kaffeine is solid, with a focus on quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation that don’t overprice the experience. The seating is comfortable and the space feels quiet enough to work or chat without shouting. Free WiFi and fast service make it easy to linger, yet the pace remains steady for those on a quick coffee break. I left impressed by the consistency across orders and the friendly vibe that lingers after you pay.

Kaffeine Koffee Review
Kaffeine Koffee is a nice and clean café with a welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted by the staff upon arrival, and they offered different coffee options.
We both tried the Kaffee Miel, which was okay but not outstanding—I’d rate it 7/10. Additionally, we had a blueberry muffin, which was decent, though we’ve had better elsewhere.
One of the highlights of this spot is that it seems like a great place to study, thanks to the free WiFi and the relaxed environment. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re looking for a quiet place to work or enjoy a casual coffee break.

This spot is a bit tucked away, but that’s part of the charm. It’s got free WiFi, a laid-back vibe, and feels like a great place to get some work done or just enjoy a quick coffee break. I had the Spanish latte (one of my go to orders), I’d rate it 4/5, but the presentation was on point.

I usually cant give more than 3 stars to a coffee shop offering more than one size cappuccino. So, if you: order a cappuccino, an want a proper one from this shop, order it in a to go cup or… get an extra shot. The 8oz “for here” cup is nice but too big for a single shot and its milky. They offered me shot to add when I asked, which is why the 4th star. Also had a decent flavor profile. Colombian and Ethiopian. Its a darker roast Eth, so doesn’t retain that light fruity, but is a good cappuccino. Nice vibe. The temperature was perfect outside so they had the large roll up door open, so it was really pleasant.
Chill indy music going.. photo is the Milky cappuccino.

Very quiet atmosphere, low key. They offer world coffee’s. I spent 6 weeks in Vietnam and had to get the Vietnamese coffee. It’s like being back in Vietnam. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice place to hangout, not great coffee imho.
I love the menu. Its diversity is impressive, but with a menu that wide, it seems unreasonable that the lone barista can master all those drinks. My under-extracted espresso and poorly frothed milk in my cortado demonstrated that. Those two skills are the basis for almost every other drink. Sadly this visit did not build confidence in their ability to deliver on the other drinks on the menu.
That said, it’s a really chill vibe and the barista was really kind and friendly. I like the space a lot. So if you are not picky about the nuance of your coffee drinks or if you tend to get drinks with lots of sweetener, you’ll live it here!

Came here for some coffee… the inside is a calm and great environment for a studying session or a friend meet up. The coffee itself was average at best. The roast was lacking in that flavor kick. The syrup options were limited and when mixed with the espresso mixed, they were drowned out in the worst way possible.

Such a unique spot! We got Ana Banana’s, Wild Jojo, and 2 Chorizo empanadas. Everything was delicious! Next time we are in Indianapolis, we will be stopping by again. The barista/owner was so kind and friendly (forgot to ask his name). His spot is very dog friendly and he gave our dog a pup cup and some lovin’. Definitely check this place out!

I love the place. It was great fist time i went. I wanted an ice coffee with white mocha an oat milk. I can barely taste the mocha an think it needed more cream an sweetener. Im bummed and forcing myself to drink it cause they were busy an I am on a 30 minute lunch.

So happy we found Chronic Coffee while we were visiting Indy! Hands Down the cutest and best coffee shop around and quite busy! We ordered The Buddha & The Stash and also ordered Empanadas and a bagel with egg and cream cheese! Everything was so fresh and delicious
I can see why this little shop is such a big hit!
We also got lucky and got to meet Monika Czinano an Iowa Alum who played with Caitlin Clark and she was very kind to take a photo while waiting for her coffee too!

Lovely coffee shop that serves delicious drinks and food! Vibes are impeccable: neon lights, 1970s aesthetic gold, dark wood but also natural lighting. You need to check it out!
Servers were really chill and friendly.
Also, if you dine in, the place has you put away your own plates and trash. The return is located near by the register.
There is also an event space upstairs that is accessible by elevator or stairs.

Provider Cafe has fabulous vibes. The shop is comfortable and full of joy. The syrups are made in house and you can tell. The lattes were incredible. My mom and I enjoyed the Banana Demerara Latte and the Peanut Butter Latte. We also had a double chocolate muffin and an almond croissant. The double chocolate muffin was moist and perfectly chocolaty! The almond croissant was one of the best pastries I’ve had in a long time. Anyone who loves coffee and treats needs to check this place out!

I ordered the lavender late and it’s great! Not the lavender isn’t too strong.
I also got the bacon breakfast sandwich and wow! The eggs are perfect, and the pepper jelly is delicious! Great combo and the bagel was so soft.
10/10 experience and will be back

I’m only in Indy for two days and I picked 4 coffee shops to try and I’m so glad I found this one. I tried the banana latte which also had cinnamon on top and hands down the best banana latte I’ve ever had. Real banana inside not some fake syrup so I would definitely go back and try this again. My only complaint, not a big enough size.

I genuinely believe that this is the BEST coffee shop in Indiana. Every drink on their menu is delicious, and you wont find boring flavors like vanilla or caramel. They offer something unique, a memorable experience every time you visit. The ginger latte is absolutely phenomenal.
The staff is friendly and they get your drinks out quick, even when its busy. If I lived in Indy, I would be here every single day.

We were met with smiling faces, and the service was great! The coffee and food were delicious! We enjoyed espresso, a pistachio latte, and a bacon, egg topped with a spicy jam sandwich. So good!

Initial Consultations and Case Evaluation
Civil attorneys can provide initial consultations and a thorough case evaluation to determine the viability of a civil matter, identify key issues, and outline potential legal pathways. During these sessions, clients learn about timeline expectations, cost considerations, and the likely evidence requirements needed to proceed. This early step helps establish realistic goals and ensures that decisions are grounded in factual and legal analysis.
Contract Drafting and Review
Civil attorneys can assist with contract drafting and contract review to enhance clarity, enforceability, and risk management. They examine terms, definitions, breach consequences, indemnities, and dispute resolution clauses to protect clients’ interests. Services emphasize compliance with state and federal law, risk allocation, and the avoidance of ambiguous language that could lead to disputes later.
Dispute Resolution, Mediation, and Arbitration
Civil attorneys navigate dispute resolution through mediation, arbitration, and collaborative processes. They help prepare clients for negotiations, draft settlement agreements, and advise on alternative dispute resolution strategies. The goal is to preserve relationships, reduce litigation costs, and achieve efficient outcomes without a courtroom confrontation whenever possible.
Personal Injury and Tort Claims
In civil law, personal injury claims, negligence, and product liability require careful damages assessment and documentation. Attorneys can assemble medical records, wage loss documents, and pain and suffering calculations to support compensation requests. They also handle insurance negotiations and, when needed, pursue litigation to secure just remedies.
Property and Real Estate Disputes
Disputes over property boundaries, title defects, leases, and real estate transactions are addressed through civil actions or alternative dispute resolution. Attorneys review deeds, title reports, and zoning regulations to identify remedies, assist with evictions or lease negotiations, and navigate escrow and closing concerns to protect property rights.
Employment Law and Workplace Issues
Employment matters involve wage and hour protections, workplace discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination. Civil attorneys provide guidance on compliance with state and federal regulations, draft employee handbooks, and represent clients in discrimination, retaliation, or contract disputes. They also handle non-compete and non-disclosure issues and negotiate severance arrangements when appropriate.
Civil Appeals and Appellate Practice
Appellate work focuses on reviewing trial records, drafting appellate briefs, and presenting oral arguments before higher courts. Attorneys examine trial error preservation, determine whether to pursue reversal or remand, and coordinate with appellate courts to safeguard clients’ rights through the appellate process.
Administrative and Regulatory Matters
Administrative law covers challenges to government decisions, licensing issues, and compliance with agency rules. Civil attorneys assist with licensing hearings, participate in rulemaking, and handle administrative appeals. They advocate before regulatory bodies, ensure due process, and help clients navigate complex state agencies and procedures.

Frequently asked questions about coffee shops in Indianapolis
What varieties of coffee are commonly available in Indianapolis coffee shops?
Indianapolis coffee shops typically offer a wide range of drinks that cater to both traditional tastes and adventurous palettes. You will often find espresso-based drinks such as espresso, americano, latte, cappuccino, and cortado, along with drip coffee and pour-over preparations. Many shops showcase a rotating selection of single-origin beans and monthly roasts, as well as seasonal specials that highlight fruit-forward, nutty, or chocolatey profiles. In addition, you’ll often encounter cold brew, nitro coffee, and occasionally signature house beverages that blend spices, syrups, or dairy-free milks. For non-dairy preferences, expect a range of alternative milks such as oat, almond, and soy, with options to customize sweetness and texture to your liking.
Do Indianapolis coffee shops roast beans locally?
Yes, many Indianapolis coffee shops work with local roasters to source their beans, and several operate on-site roasting or host roast demonstrations. This local focus often allows shops to offer fresh roast profiles and short supply chains, which can enhance flavor clarity and aroma. Reading the menu or asking baristas about origin, roast level, and batch size can help you understand how your cup was produced. Supporting local roasters also helps sustain a growing coffee economy within the city, benefiting farmers, roasters, and shop communities alike.
How can I find the best coffee shop for my taste in Indianapolis?
Finding the best fit depends on your personal preferences and routines. Start by considering your preferred roast level, whether you enjoy espresso drinks or filter brews, and the kind of ambiance you seek. Check online reviews for consistency in quality and service, and inspect the shops’ menus to see if they offer your favorite beans or brewing methods. If possible, visit multiple locations during different times of day to gauge customer service, noise levels, and the availability of wifi and outlets for extended visits or work sessions. A good fit typically combines excellent espresso quality, thoughtful bean sourcing, and a welcoming atmosphere.
What is the typical price range for coffee in Indianapolis cafes?
Prices in Indianapolis cafes generally reflect the drink size, ingredients, and preparation method. Typical ranges include $3-$5 for standard drip coffee or a basic latte, and $4-$7 for more elaborate drinks like signature pours, single-origin shots, or drinks with specialty milks. If you add extras such as extra shots, flavored syrups, or premium beans, the price may be higher. It’s common to tip separately, and many shops post visible price structures to help you plan ahead for your visit.
How early do coffee shops open and what are weekend hours in Indianapolis?
Operating hours in Indianapolis vary by neighborhood and concept. Many shops open by early morning, typically around 6:00-7:00 am, to serve commuters and early workers. Weekend hours often extend later into the morning and early afternoon, with some shops staying open into the afternoon or early evening to accommodate study sessions and social visits. It’s a good idea to check the specific location’s hours online or call ahead, as holiday schedules and special events can affect opening times.
Are there good options for non-coffee drinks in Indianapolis?
Absolutely. Indianapolis coffee shops commonly offer a diverse range of non-coffee beverages, including high-quality teas (black, green, and herbal varieties), matcha or other green tea drinks, hot chocolate, and chai lattes. Many menus also feature herbal infusions, fresh fruit beverages, and seasonal coolers. If you avoid caffeine, you’ll still find a satisfying selection of flavorful options that pair well with pastries and light bites.
What about seating, wifi, and work-friendly spaces in Indianapolis cafes?
Most Indianapolis cafes aim to accommodate a mix of customers, including remote workers, students, and casual visitors. You’ll typically find wifi access, many power outlets, and a variety of seating arrangements—from cozy nooks to larger group tables. Some locations offer quiet corners for focused work, while others foster social conversation near the bar or counter. If you need a reliable work setup, look for places that advertise comfortable seating, stable internet, and a steady supply of outlets.
Is tipping customary in Indianapolis coffee shops?
Yes, tipping is common in Indianapolis coffee shops. Customers often leave a tip based on the service quality and the complexity of the order. A typical guideline is 15-20% of the pre-tax total for good service, with the option to round up or add more for exceptional experience. Some self-serve formats may not require tipping, while full-service baristas who craft complex beverages may appreciate it more. If you’re unsure, observe local norms or ask a staff member about the preferred practice at that location.
Are there coffee shop chains in Indianapolis, or is the city mostly independent?
Indianapolis hosts a mix of national chains and independent shops. Chains can offer consistency and convenience, while independent cafes often provide unique roasts, in-house pastries, and locally themed vibes. Many locals champion independent shops for their distinctive beans and community ambiance, but a balance exists—visiting both types can broaden your coffee experience and reveal your preferences for bean origin, brewing methods, and customer service.
What sustainability practices should I expect at Indianapolis coffee shops?
Environmental responsibility is increasingly common in Indianapolis cafes. You may notice the use of recyclable or compostable cups, biodegradable lids, and straw alternatives, along with efforts to minimize waste through takeaway cup programs and recycling bins at the counter. Shops often highlight fair trade or organic beans, ethical sourcing, and partnerships with local farmers. Some locations also offer discounts for customers who bring their own reusable cups, and a growing number host community events focused on sustainability and education around coffee production.
